Y/n POV

Ugh another boring day, Hi, Lee Yn here. About me? Welp, I'm bored right now and someone please help me or I'll die from boredom!

Should I do Ouija board now? Nah nah what if the ghost gets obsessed with me? I shivered at the thought of something invisible always watching you.

I mean...it's 1pm and I'm not even sleepy, just staring at the moon which is glowing golden in my eyes.

What if I just take a trip around my village? Yep! I'll be all alone and it will be peaceful and I can enjoy the cool and fresh Breeze!

Nodding at my own thoughts I wore a comfy pair of clothing and wore gloves, a scarf, and a beanie since it was very cold outside.



I took my phone in hand and locked my house. Let's call it a night stroll? Yup! I was walking peacefully until I got lost when I saw a purple butterfly shining beautifully under the moonlight. My subconscious made me follow the butterfly without realizing that I entered the forbidden forest

Legend says weird stuff took place in this large misty forest and thus people made it a forbidden place but, hey! we're humans! Curiousness can't be controlled! Thousands of YouTubers came here but found nothing and everyone claim the legend was just a myth.

And now this is just a forbidden place no one visits. The butterfly stopped its motions and landed on top of a....rabbit?

I stopped in my tracks when I realized the rabbit was wounded. Its white fur was covered in blood. I loved animals a lot. Maybe a little bit more than humans and the sight of the poor injured rabbit made me sad.

I slowly went towards the rabbit trying not to scare it. I calmly picked it up and placed it on my lap. Since I was grown in a village and still living in one, I knew many herbal medicines and stuff from raw nature.

I'm an orphan. The day I opened my eyes I was bought up by an old woman who found me in these exact same woods. She died when I was 14 and since then I lived independently. I made herbal medicines taught by my non-biological mother. She was a nurse and knew lots of stuff about herbals. I learned from her and started helping people by selling these herbal medicines at a low cost. The money from my mere job was enough for me live on my own.

I took some herbal leaves I found near me and crushed them and placed them on the rabbit's wounds. But that's when I saw the rabbit's eyes. They were a mystical blue color. It was ..beautiful.

The rabbit snuggled into my dress, did it feel comfortable around me and knew I was not a threat or it was feeling cold? I took off my beanie and placed the rabbit inside my beanie so it will feel less cold.

I slowly caressed its small head and chuckled seeing it enjoy the feeling.

Y/n: Hey there little guy...

I said in the softest voice I could so that I won't scare the rabbit.

Y/n: Should I name you? I can't just call you little guy right?

Weirdly I felt like the rabbit nodded as if it understood what I was saying...

Y/n: since you have beautiful blue eyes...should I call you...or nah..you'll leave me soon so why should I name you?

Why was I talking to a rabbit right now? Oh my gosh! I'm turning weirder day by day.

Soon I started feeling sleepy. My eyelids started feeling heavy and my eyes slowly closed and I fell asleep on the soft grass.

I opened my eyes to something hard. I winced at the bright light hitting my eyes. After I adjusted to the sunlight and remembered how I ended up in the middle of the forest I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I gasped and almost screamed when I saw a guy in front of me.

Y/n: A-Ahhh who are you-

The guy who was already sitting as if he had woken up an hour ago smiled at me. He looked like the sun but gave the aura of a moon.

??: Princess I finally found you!!

Y/n: Huh- princess- who princess, I don't know any princess now who are you-

I said trying to find a rock to use for self-defense while still glaring at him and keeping my eye contact with his weirdly mystical blue eyes.

His smile didn't fade away but he just kept looking at me with a very bright smile. But that won't easily make me less weirded out by him.

??: Don't you remember me?

Y/n: No, do I know you?

??: Last night you treated my wounds princess!

Y/n: Stop calling me princess and I didn't treat anyone's wounds- oh where's the rabbit!

I looked around in slight fear, what if an animal again attacked the poor rabbit? It's still weak it needs rest it shouldn't have run away from me.

??: I'm the rabbit! Don't you remember treating my wounds?

The guy said with a small pout and disappointment on his face which made my heart melt but that won't let my guard down easily.

Y/n: Your a grown a.s human guy! Did you do anything with the rabbit? It was wounded badly!

??: First of all, the rabbit's wounds easily healed last night and the herbals helped the rabbit heal even faster

He said clapping and of course smiling.

??: Oh and that rabbit is me!!

I slightly and sarcastically laughed at his words.

??: Nice joke unknown guy but I'm not that stupid, BYE.

I said and stood up to leave but was stopped when the same guy held me by my wrist.

??: P-please don't leave me alone, I'm lost...

The boy said in a fragile voice making me want to think otherwise.

Y/n: I'm sorry but I don't even know you.

I heard the man sigh before he slowly started to close his eyes and rub his ears. Soon a blue mist covered him and when the mist faded away he was nowhere to be seen except there was the same blue eyed rabbit instead of the grown man.

I was shook but those blue eyes were enough for me to tell the boy was the rabbit I healed last night.

Yet again the mist appeared and the boy was in front of me instead of the cute rabbit.

??: Now do you believe me?

There was a moment of silence and when the boy realized that I needed time to process what was happening, he put his hand out gesturing for me to shake it.

??: I'm Hoseok, call me hope or Hobi or anything you would like.

He said and chuckled still waiting for me to shake his hands. I hesitantly yet carefully shook my hands with him.

Y/n: U-uh my name is Y/n..

Hobi: That's a pretty name for a pretty girl. Thank you for helping my wounds last night...I know all of this sounds really weird but-

Y/n: S-so your a hybrid? Human-animal crossbreed? Isn't it illegal to create them?

Hobi: Well...um..let's talk about that later now shall we? C-can I perhaps...stay with you for a few days?

I was shocked at his words, I just met him today and he's not even a full human, how can I easily let him stay with me?

And as if he had read your mind he replied..

Hobi: S-sorry but I don't have anywhere to go and I'm lost..

I felt a bit of pity for the boy. If anyone finds out he is a hybrid then he won't be able to survive. As I said few YouTubers still roam around her and the village people could be also cruel and mean for the things that came out of this forest. It is exactly why my neighbors or the people in the village didn't like me since my mother found me in this forest.

I sighed and nodded showing I understood his situation.

Y/n: Fine..you can stay but only if you explain more about yourself.

His face cheered with excitement as he jumped or as we can say "hopped" towards me and gave a tight bear hug.

Hobi: Thank you thankyou thankyou so much!

I chuckled at his childish behavior. Maybe staying with him could change my lonely and sad feelings? Anyway, the only vibes he's giving me since I met him is positivity.

After I stood up I made sure my phone was with me and told him to follow me. On our way home he told me he was 2 years older than me! I was just 19 and he's 21. But he did not say anything more about himself other than how he got wounded by another animal and how thankful he was to me.

After we reached home I offered him my room since I'm a good girl and instead shifted my pillows and blanket to the sofa. Even if the sofa was small it would be comfortable enough.

I made pancakes for both of us and Hoseok loved it and said he never ate a thing so yummy in his whole life.

I chuckled at his behavior, like a baby in a man's body.

It's been a week since Hobi stayed with me. Everything went smoothly. He was a nice and trustable guy. We were currently sitting next to my window watching the moon while eating some gummies.

Hobi: Princess, do you think the moon is beautiful?

I nodded at him still looking out of my large open window revealing the golden glowing moon.

Hobi: Would you believe if I said the moon lost its beauty?

Y/n: Was it even beautiful before? I mean...it's the only thing that gives me company at night when I'm sad. It was always like my best friend to me.

Hobi: Princess, would you..um ..like..want to visit the moon sometime soon?

Y/n: I wish I could...but hey why do you keep calling me princess, call me somethin' else you'd like.

Hobi: sigh I think...I should tell you the truth..

Y/n: The...truth? What do you mean?

Hobi: I-I'm not a hybrid made in the laboratory.

Y/n: Huh-

Hobi: I come from the moon or you could say I'm a "moonling'?

He said in a more questioning way.

Y/n: I never knew you wanted to prank me- Well you needed to use some other trick, this one's too obvious that it's a prank.

I said while giggling but stopped when I realized he was serious. I sat up and cleared my throat seeing him with a serious face with one eyebrow lifted at my words.

Y/n: O-okay continue...

Hobi: I know this seems fake but I'm from the moon...and...I need to return back to there on the coming full moon which is in a month.

Y/n: So if you're from the moon then why did you come to earth?

Hobi: I came to find...our moon princess

Y/n: You all got a princess too? Wait does that mean there are more rabbit hybrids like you?

Hobi: Ever heard of the rabbit on the moon story?

I shook my head as a no. My mother (non-biological) was very poor to keep a stable life for both of us so I pretty much didn't ask for more food, sweets, toys, and stuffs since I felt like a burden to her. But she instead gave me her food, stitched my clothes from hers, and kept loving me until she died.

Hobi: Oh..I'm sorry to hear that..

Hoseok said. Ahh, how could I forget he could read people's minds?!

Y/n: I- it's not your fault...c-continue..

Hobi: The story is like when a man on the moon came down to earth disguised as a beggar. He asked a fox, rabbit, and a monkey for help...uh...I forgot the rest...anyhow that's not the truth...humans often say the rabbit on the moon is mixing the ingredients for making mochi...and...many many myths like that.

Y/n: So all of them are just myths?

Hobi: Yeah the stories are a myth but no humans ever checked the underground world of the moon...that's where the human-rabbit moonlings live.

Y/n: So you're telling me there's a whole new world under the moon? For rabbit hybrids? But wait, how did you even reach here?

Hobi: Being the moon prince, I can teleport myself to the nearest planets with the help of my royal powers. But it works only on full moon nights.

Y/n: Ohh ok- SIR WHAT?? EXCUSE MEH- THE MOON PRINCE??

Hobi shut his ears with his hands since they were very sensitive and I was literally screaming.

Hobi: I shouldn't have told that should I? Now don't shout, ahh my poor earseu!

Y/n: Hehe sorry- but are you really the p-prince?

Hobi: Crown prince to be exact....why? Are you going to respect me from now cau-

He started with a teasing tone to make fun of my shook state but my 'are you serious?' look made him stop midway.

Y/n: So..you came to find your princess? Like...your soon-to-be wife?

I asked lowkey feeling sad but I don't know why.

Hobi: uh huh...exactly...and I found her too! Now I just need to leave with her to our moonland in a month!

Y/n: O-oh..congratulations I guess..

I did feel low..but why? He will leave me in a month...but what ached me more was that he had a mate or his wife/doe/princess to be clear. But why was I sad about that?

Y/n: I-Its pretty late let's talk tomorrow, good night...

I said and stood up but stopped in my tracks when he said,

Hobi: And the princess is you..

I turned around to face him. He stood up, walked towards me, and slowly started lifting my hand sleeve. It was only till my elbow area but he lifted it till my shoulders.

Hobi: If I'm right, then you have a weird birthmark on your shoulder...right?

He said. I quickly pulled my sleeve down and moved a bit far from him. How did he know? I always wore dresses with sleeves since I never wanted to show my birthmark since it was oddly shaped.

Hoseok took off his sweater revealing his T-shirt. He lifted his sleeves to show me the exact same birthmark on him at the same spot. Only that it was to the opposite side, unlike mine.



Hoseok: The moon princess and the prince are born with the same birthmarks of the moon and that's how the princess is identified and let alone only the prince will be able to read his princess' mind like right now you're blushing and thinking about living with me in the moon forever like in a fairytale.

I shook my head in embarrassment and yelled good night as I ran to my sofa. He offered me the bed and told me he'd sleep on the sofa but nah I love this thing more now.

I heard him chuckle before closing the window and sleeping in my or...more like "his" bed.

It's almost a month now after this incident, Hoseok told me more about the moon world and how everything works there. He told that the moon lost its colors the day the moon princess which is me was nowhere on the moon. The people of the moon also lost their energy since the moon lost its'.

Right now I was taking Hoseok for the monthly shopping to the town and it was his first time.

Hoseok: Oh gummy what is that?

He calls me gummy from time to time.

Y/n: It's a hamburger don't you know that?

Hoseok: I haven't eaten anything from the earth except the ones you made.

I made an 'o' face and took him into the bakery. I didn't have enough money left for the both of us to buy food since I spent it on Hobi's clothes, our daily foods, and daily essentials.

I bought one burger for him and also a sprite since he was amazed by the green color bubbling liquid kept in cold.

Just like I had assumed, he read my mind and gave me a guilty look.

Hoseok: I- I'm sorry you had to waste your money because of me...

He said sipping on the bottle of sprite with a straw which was very childish and cute.

I pat his head and comforted him saying my job will pay me again and I can buy these as much as I want.

The poor boy who didn't know how money works nodded and dug into the hamburger after making sure I really didn't want to eat it and my stomach was still full.

I always tried to make my mind clean and clear so he won't read something he shouldn't have like...guys...I don't want him to know I still can't sleep without my plushie!

Hoseok: Did you decide?

Y/n: Yes.

Hoseok: and?

Y/n: It's a 'yes'

Hoseok: Are you really sure?

Y/n: Yess now stop these questions!

I whined. We were currently now in the same forest. It was the full moon night and I decided to go to the moon with Hoseok. I had no one to bid my goodbyes to so I packed my bag with some essential stuff and of course some food since Hoseok said the food on the moon was completely different.

Oh, and I also held my phone...not that I'm dumb but hey offline games, until my battery runs out, might work!

Soon a pink mist started appearing in front of us. The moonlight was shining brightly causing the pink mist to look magical.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath when I felt Hoseok interwine his hands with mine.

Hobi: Ready cakes?

He calls me very different names these days, don't mind.

I nodded while smiling and we both stepped into the mist and started walking in the direction Hoseok took me.

After a few minutes, Hoseok stopped mid-way and hesitantly looked at me. I was confused but was Jungshook when he attached both of our birthmarks together and they started to glow. Mine glowed pink while he was blue. Soon I felt weird around my body and that's when I realized what this process was.

-Flashback-

Hoseok: Okay so Y/n when we join our birthmarks and I say the royal magical words, our marks will start glowing the color of your moon-self. Mine is blue and that's why my eyes are blue and the mist around me when I shapeshift is also blue.

Y/n: So what color am I?

Hoseok: Not sure, the only 5 colors are chocolate brown which shows wiseness, blue shows magic and royalty, pink shows purity, and which is why it is the rarest to find on the moon. Red shows honesty and loyalty. And lastly, green which shows childishness and fun!

So after this process, your eye color will change and you will be able to turn into a rabbit if you'd like. And also you will be able to survive in the moon's atmosphere which means without oxygen. But instead...you will be able to inhale moon-odium, the gas for moon-ans to survive just like oxygen for humans! Cool right! Moon-odium Is only found in the underworld of the moon and that's where we all live.

-Flashback End-

Soon the mist faded and we were standing in front of a large door that read 'Welcome to Moonsia'. The guards there bowed in front of Hoseok quite not sure of who I am. They spoke English and looked like humans. The large door opened with a creaking noise.

There were bunnies and rabbits inside, humans and kids too. All playing around happily. Some were floating like gravity didn't work on them or maybe was it their powers?

The place was filled with floating and glowing white flowers. If we look above it's like seeing the sky...there were tiny sparkling things which represented stars.

Everyone had stopped their movements when they saw us. All of them looked welcoming towards me.

Hoseok: Be my princess and live with me till our last breath

He said making my breath hitch and that was when I knew this was going to be my new life with the person who meant everything to me and changed me into a better person within a month.

Y/n: Yes, Forever...till our last breath..

I said looking at him in the eyes while our hands still interwined.
