Chapter 98: The Original Four

Kevin frowned at Griseo's words. She was ultra sensitive towards other people. And being described by her was always 99.9% right on the money. He didn't expect that Griseo would have such venom in her tongue.

"Uncle Kevin, why are you just standing there. You should meet your great great great grand daughter." Griseo said and started to paint with her usual expressionless face.

"Do I really have a descendant of mine here at this place?" Kevin asked and couldn't believe it. He left Adam to his own devices when he was old enough because he doesn't want his son to fight an uphill battle against the honkai.

"Umu, haven't I already told you? Hah, you should probably clean your ears 1st. Come on, let's introduce you to her." Kevin followed Ein and they saw Kallen training with Sakura. Making Kevin frown when he saw them, surely bringing up bad memories.

"Kallen, come here. He's actually the progenitor of the Kaslana clan, go and meet your ancestor. KeBin Kaslana." He gave a brief introduction and Kallen looked at him with curiosity.

"Wow, you weren't kidding when you said that my great great grandpa is your comrade and friend." Kevin cringed at Kallen calling him a grandpa and Ein snickered.

"Umu, I told you. He is a friend, and you haven't seen anything yet. He actually wields the Judgement of Shamash, it was quite a fit on him. Though I made it and I'm the only one that can unleash its full power." Kevin nodded and remembered Ein burning half of Australia to the ground with one swing. And without his immense control and protection, the earth would suffer an extinction event through a sudden rise in global temperatures.

"So he is the 1st sire of Kallen's clan?" Sakura asked and Kevin looked at Ein. "It's as you guessed, she isn't the one. She lacks the distinctive long ears after all." Ein rubbed Sakura's ears and Kevin silently got relieved that he didn't see SAKURA.

"Hey, can you show me your honkai cascade form? I can't fully manifest it and it's hindering my full power." Kallen excitedly asked her ancestor and Kevin could only nod from the eagerness oozing from her.

"Ugh, she's so bright. I remember my dark days." He was also like her back when he was young after all. A happy go lucky person that did his best to be the best athlete. But everything started to go down the drain when the honkai nation attacked.

"Ahh, such an old man line. You should quit that because you'll get hated by the young'uns." Ein patted his back and Griseo nodded.

"You might smell like an old man too if you keep it up." Griseo added. "Alright already. I get the point." Kevin started to get depressed and tried to stealthily smell himself. "I don't smell like an old man." He mumbled.

"So, how about you show me how to use Parvati's genes!? Ein's going to give me another and it was Vi... Vis... Whatever that was, so I want to conquer Parvati 1st." Kallen excitedly shouted and Sakura sighed.

"It's Vishnu Kallen, you're surely confused. But you're in the right track." Ein then led them to the training room so Kallen can get some extra tips from her ancestor. "You should get along okay? He's been using Parvati's powers for thousands of years, so he will give you some extra cards under your sleeve." Ein then gave a little peck to Kallen that made Kevin frown.

"He... He wasn't lying..." He was lamenting the fact that his progeny was in his harem. Giving him complicated feelings about it. "Kevin-san... Would Ein be your great grandson if he marries Kallen?" Sakura asked the forbidden question and Kevin cringed.

"Oh yeah, Imma call you grandpa from now on Kevin. I have a surprise for you later old timer, train Kallen for me okay? I think you'll like it." Ein winked at him and Kevin was about to get a mental breakdown.

"Damn, I forgot how he really is. This is gonna drive me crazy." He kept on mumbling at a corner and Ein went to Vill for a little surprise for Kevin.

"Hey Vill, Kevin doesn't know MEI's here yet. Let's give him a surprise he'll never forget." He smiled brightly, but the intent was suspicious to say the least. "Hohhh? We have another addition to the audience it seems. I'll bust out the clearest and the highest definition clip of MEI's plight." She snickered and Ein hugged her tight.

"Umu, I knew I could count on you Vill. Now how about we prepare the show?" They then made a cinema, complete with a surround sound system. And Ein will supercharge Aponia to discipline Kevin so he will watch all of MEI's glorious acting.

"Ohh? What are you doing Vill? Ein?" Phyllis dropped by and saw something interesting. They filled her in and she smiled. "Kukuku~ He'll certainly like that nya!" She helped while Kevin was busy guiding Kallen as a MANTIS.

After some time Ein gathered everyone to the cinema and made stuff up. "Hey everyone, I'll be showing you some important history in why we're training okay?" The kids listened intently and started getting on their seats.

"Hmmm, indoctrinating these lab rats early? Why not just use Aponia's discipline? It would be much easier." Mobius commented, but everybody ignored her. Meanwhile, MEI was hanging out behind them and Ein made light bend around her to make her invisible.

The film started and they saw Ein giving a speech. "Everyone, we are living in a world where we fight an endless battle for supremacy." The audience nodded and he continued. "So, I present this film to you people. Because there is nothing more important than to have some fun."

The scene changed and it showed Kevin wearing a fedora, while MEI was wearing a school uniform. She started to act like a fan girl that made the real Kevin horrified.

MEI was about to shout at the top of her lungs but Aponia quickly silenced her. Ein gave her a thumbs up as Kevin continue to watch in a daze. "MEI... Wouldn't act like that. Wh-what the hell is this."

He hated fan girls and avoided them like the plague back when they were in middle school and high school. And seeing MEI like that did things to him.

"Ahhh, this is youth kids. Remember that you should go have fun and fall in love like these lovebirds. Disclaimer though, you shouldn't act like that." Ein said and the film ended. Kevin looked like his soul left his body and he was frozen on his seat. Traumatized, the kids now had an impression on him and it won't be fun.

"Kevin... It wasn't me I swear on my life!" MEI appeared and it made Kevin gain his wits. "Wh- MEI? Is that really you?" He stood up and like lightning, quickly went near her. Looking at her from head to toe.

"Hah, well. I didn't want us to meet like this, but yes. Yes I am." She smiled tenderly and Kevin broke into tears. "Ahhh, they're gonna kiss kids! Don't look, you'll get cooties." Ein made a comment and the kids all went ew that broke the atmosphere of the two.

"But I saw you get buried... No, it doesn't matter. What's important is you're here." Ein then turned his hand into a virus to rewire his DNA, so Kevin wouldn't need to go to him everytime whenever he wanted to touch MEI.

"There, all fixed. I don't want to know whenever you guys do the dirty you know?" MEI choked on her saliva and Kallen made it even worse. "So, if they have another kid. Won't that baby be my great grandpa or grandma as well? And Ein will have another grandparent?"

"Well, there you go grandma. When will you give us another grandmother or grandfather?" The couple were downtrodden. "You just had to seduce our descendant didn't you? I'm having a headache." MEI sat down and sighed heavily.

Everybody then started to prepare for some lunch. Kevin clinged to MEI like she was going to be gone. And it annoyed her to no end, remembering their high school days when he would pester her for a date.

"Now, you've had your fun Kevin. Where's Su? I know you meant well, but you went a little too crazy." Ein sighed and Kevin looked at the ground. "Su, I don't know. He went to the surface of the sea while I went deeper, I just left him the divine keys."

"Well, I'll try and find him. He's still out there, probably observing bubble universes for project Veluka. Though that is quite impossible now. You should've talked more with Su, MEI was the one who made a plan to contain you. Even she noticed that you might go too far."

Kevin looked at MEI and looked sorry about the whole ordeal with him going all crazy in defeating the honkai. "You even left Adam behind, hah. I don't know what I'm going to do with you mister... Did he?" MEI was curious on how her child's life went and Kevin fortunately nodded.

"Yes, he lead a great life. Away from all the fighting and bloodshed that we experienced. he was a good kid MEI. Intelligent like you, and a bit hot headed like me back in the day." She sighed in relief and it was enough for her. Though she thought it was a shame she couldn't raise him.

"They were more like you though. Look at that." Vill pointed to Kallen stuffing her face and MEI cringed, Mobius laughed boisterously. Shedding a tear from laughing too much.

"What a shame MEI, imagine dealing with little kids like Kevin. I'd go crazy!" Mobius then quarelled with MEI and Kevin looked on, with a bright smile on his face. Thanking Ein in his heart that MEI survived due to him. He never imagined in his millennia of vendetta that he could smile again.

"Wait, I haven't seen Elysia yet. Where is she?" While Kevin was looking around, he remembered the optimistic Elsyia that would have surely teased them.

"Elysia, I can't find her anywhere. I believe she's inside the imaginary space. Besides me, Ellie has the most connection there, being a herrscher and having Mahesvara's genes." Ein was preparing to explore the imaginary space, he designed a suit that would hide his noticeable as hell energy.

If he entered willy nilly, he'll be like a beacon that says I'm here to the will of the honkai. And he wasn't willing to take that risk, although it can't interfere anymore due to its attempt in the past. Extra variables will always cause some kind of change.

"Hmm, Ellie. I need to apologize to her as well, I went outside the wasteland to try and die. And now we can't find her." Eden said with a sad smile, missing her best friend.

"It's okay Eden. I'm positive we can find her, though she might have a few words with you." He smiled and Mobius perked up. "That woman, I'll show her who's the strongest when she returns kukuku~"

Elysia always thwarted Mobius' schemes to get more 'materials' for her experiments. So they were like rivals. "Ahh, no you don't. Honestly, you're so troublesome Mobius. I will tell the kids how you would gush at Hamsuke if you initiate a fight with Elysia." Aponia threatened which made her back down.

"Tch, you ruin the fun everytime Aponia. No matter, I have been with Ein 1st here in the new era. That would surely be a blow to her ego." Mobius mumbled.

"Okay, now for your assignment Kevin. You'll be in clean up crew with Sakura. Kind of like COCOON, and apologize to the other okay?" He looked at the 2 Sakuras and it made him confused.

"So... They're both named Sakura? And look absolutely the same, except the metamorph surgery side effects?" Kevin asked and SAKURA was just looking at him with narrowed eyes.

"I'll be having a word with you... Kevin." She said his name like it left a bad taste in her mouth and Ein was sure she won't leave it at just a simple sorry. "Ein, bring us to the training room please. I need to let off some steam."

Phyllis and Vill looked at each other and were getting excited. Meanwhile Kalpas wondered how much stronger SAKURA was now. "Go and beat grandpa Kevin up nee-chan." Hellmaru, the 2 Rins and Griseo cheered her on.

"Alright, but don't kill him okay? I don't want to put his pieces back together." He then let the kids go and cleaned up, after that. The gang quickly went into the training room and Kevin didn't move. "Come on SAKURA, I know you have a grudge on me. So hit me however you like."

SAKURA gritted her teeth. "Don't patronize me Kevin! Your days as the strongest chaser are over. Observe." She got angry that he wasn't going to fight. Clenching her hand tight and tensing her legs to the max.

She disappeared and uppercutted him so hard he thought his head would get torn off from his neck. "I'm a warrior Kevin. Stand up and fight back!"

Ein sighed and nodded at Kevin. "Watch close Kallen, Sakura. This would benefit you the most you know?" Kevin floated in the air and instantly froze everything into a winter wonderland.

"Woah, why is his ice dark?" Kallen and Sakura were curious. "Well, he's been using those powers for thousands of years. It turned harder, stronger, colder. You'll get there, I'm training you after all." Ein patted her head.

The battle then continued with SAKURA zipping around Kevin's ice spears raising from the ground and gave an axe kick with built up momentum. Her foot crashed on a barrier Kevin raised with honkai energy, but it shattered instantly. Making him plummet to the ground with immense force.

"You still rely on your honkai genes and energy too much Kevin. You'll lose terribly." SAKURA pumped up her muscles with honkai energy and gave an onslaught of blows at terrifying speeds. Releasing a shockwave everytime it hit Kevin's body.

He tried making a shield of ice, but she analyzed it quickly with her eyes and gave it a chop of her hand, rending space. "Muda da!" She went behind his back and suplexed him to the ground. Creating a tremor and cracking the thick ice.

He willed tons of shards of ice and rained it down on SAKURA, he was now using his partial honkai form and the temperature started to plummet. "Muda, muda, muda! Za warudo!" She raised her hands and stopped time.

She hit every vital on Kevin's body and finished with a kick on his genitals. "One second has passed." Ein was controlling time on the audience and every guy frowned. "Ooh, that's gotta hurt."

SAKURA then sliced off his arms and proceeded to beat him on the head with it. "Two seconds have passed." And for her final attack, she ran away to build momentum. She then focused all of her energy on her fist and gave an uppercut on his stomach that made Kevin's body vibrate violently.

"Three seconds have passed... And time has begun to move again." An explosion resounded and Kevin flew like a bullet. Crashing on to the hard walls and went splat like wet toilet paper thrown to a concrete wall.

"Okay! It's over!" Ein then started stitching Kevin up who immediately lost consciousness. "SAKURA-nee beat up a grandpa. That's violence against old people." Griseo contradicted her earlier words.

"You didn't have to go that far SAKURA." MEI frowned when she saw Kevin's status and SAKURA scoffed. "RIN has suffered more MEI. Be glad that I'm feeling better now and Ein saved her." She then left.

"She beat you up real good, MEI. Show him his assignment later, I'll go and find Su for now. Unfortunately, Elysia would be last. My camouflage isn't ready yet." Everybody then returned to their own agendas and Ein tried finding Su.

"Okay, let's filter the universes." He sighed and started looking for a bubble universe that was created artificially by the cosmic juggernaut.

He started filtering it and one by one, checked the smaller ones that have a certain feel to them. The bubble universes made by the cosmic juggernaut doesn't have an influence from the imaginary space due to divine keys cutting that particular connection.

"Gotcha. He's in bad condition, must be from trying to find a suitable universe." Su was expediting his search by pushing his psyche to the limits. It was based on Aponia's discipline so he can search quicker, but it burned his mind and his body was deteriorating.

"Su, you sleeping or something?" Ein teased him as Su always had his eyes closed like a cliche monk or psychic ever since he received his honkai genes from Mahamayuri.

Turns out, he was. "Wh-what!? Ein-san?" He opened his eyes from surprise and stood up, but he quickly kneeled down from all the damage on his body.

"Relax Su. Let me patch you up real quick." He shut down Su's forceful overdrive of his mind and regenerated him, now as good as new. "That's dangerous you know? Copying Aponia without external help, your brain was almost fried."

Su sat down and started to calm down. "How are you here Ein-san? I also felt you disappear." He believed he truly died because his overwhelming presence faded and disappeared.

"Well, you know. It's because I'm awesome as hell. So? I assume you haven't found any suitable universes? That's because you're trying to look for it wrong. And chances are, you won't even find some anyway." Su was looking at bubble universes that were still attached to the imaginary tree, or those that came off. So he wouldn't success in project Veluka either way.

"I... I see. Are there any flame chasers left besides Hua? Only the 3 of us met back in the base below river Thames. And Kevin... I had to activate project regulator, though he saved me in the end and told me to continue the search for a haven." Su went melancholic at dooming his friend and leaving behind Hua that has already forgotten them.

As she didn't respond to their call for her. "Umu, how about you listen to this." Ein took out a recording of Kevin. "Su, do not worry. You did it for a good reason, I don't blame you. If Ein finds you, then know that I am safe."

Su was shocked, not expecting Kevin to survive in the sea. "He's returned? You found him? I guess you could dive deep in the sea of quanta Ein. Leaving from the deepest parts was possible for you after all." He then stood up and prepared to leave.

"We'll leave the 2nd key to the new era. We don't need them anymore. I'll have you be in charge of our medical company, it was your dream to be a doctor after all." They were developing a serum of stigmata that would help immunize the populace from honkai.

And Su would be happy to help. "Alright Ein, let's go. I haven't seen Kevin in a while, I have to apologize to him." Su smiled wryly, Kevin was his best friend and thought of how everything went wrong.

They then appeared at Kevin's room where they saw him hugging MEI tight as the big spoon. Just after they did the dirty. "Ooh, boy. You're already trying to make me a little grandpa huh? No rush, isn't that right Su?"

Su was confused as hell at 1st. But then he opened his eyes wide open after feeling a familiar person, MEI. "Oh my god! Ein, what the hell! Sorry Kevin! I didn't see anything." Su quickly left and Ein shrugged.

"What? They're under the blanket? It's not like I saw them naked or anything. I'm a considerate man, so I waited after they finished of course." MEI screamed and Ein frowned.

"What's with all the screaming lady? Geez, alright alright. I'll leave, can't even be happy that Su's here? We're your 1st friends you know?" He then left after leaving a pack of virility meds for Kevin and Mei. "I'm looking forward to my new little grandpa. Go on Kevin, you can do it." He gave a thumbs up.

"I'm going to have a heart attack because of him one of these days." MEI sighed "You know he's just like that. He was just too busy back then, anyways..." Kevin looked at the pills at that Ein left.

Thanks for reading guys, I've decided to just leave Elysia's powers floating for now. So I'll get her on board and probably skip to where Li Sushang meets Tilie. I still don't know yet, and of course slowly put Fu Hua on therapy. Lots of it, she will still be entering Schicksal because Aponia will never leave Ein's side. So she'll be still the class monitor, anyways ciao.
