Chapter 527: Her Reappearance

The rain was getting heavier, and Charlotte Cooper was slightly mesmerized by the storm before her. It wasn't until a cold gust blew over that she shuddered, snapping her back to reality.

She lowered her head to look at her watch and found that about an hour and a half have passed since she'd sent a message to Henry Russell, yet he was nowhere in sight.

Seeing the severity of the downpour, Charlotte hesitated. Should she continue waiting for him here?

Although she stood under the eaves, the raindrops hit her clothes, whipped by the wild wind.

Her shirt was already half-soaked, her hair just barely spared from getting wet.

Growing impatient, Charlotte glanced around. If she remembered correctly, the nearest subway station was about five kilometers away.

Charlotte sighed softly. Despite only five kilometers, she suspected she would be drenched making the journey in such heavy rain.

Torn between choices and soaked to the skin, she had to abandon all hope in Henry Russell.
