Chapter 508: Heartbeat

Charlotte pulled Cloud towards the door to leave, but as soon as they opened it, they saw a wall of flesh in front of them.

It turned out to be Joseph standing outside the door, his hand still in the posture of knocking. He stared at the two of them and blinked slowly before sheepishly lowering his hand.

"I had the day off, so I thought I'd come and visit you two."

"As well as freeloading food and drinks?"

Charlotte glanced at Cloud, who averted her gaze, and couldn't help but tease.

Joseph wasn't ashamed, shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, which seemed like an admission.

"But your timing isn't great today. Cloud and I just finished cleaning up, and we're heading over to see Ekaterina and her mother. Her mother mentioned wanting to see her daughter a few days ago, didn't she?"

Joseph examined the two of them and indeed, they were fully dressed. Cloud, in particular, wore a blue and green watercolor cheongsam, looking quite different today.
