My Choice

Mariela's POV

"Ella, is there anything you want to tell me?" Jerry asked after I buckled my seat belt, and I looked at him with confusion on my face.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"It feels like Kent and Archer know you, or am I just imagining things?" He asked back.

"I couldn't believe Archer would be looking at you the entire dinner, and I wanted to tell him to stop, but I felt so proud that he was captivated by you, and I know why he looked so angry. He couldn't accept I have you as my date." Jerry added.

And I felt so guilty, and I didn't want to lie to him anymore; he had been a good boyfriend to me, and after we broke up, nothing changed. The way he treated me was still the same.

Jerry has always been there to give me all the support that I needed, and I knew he could be the perfect boyfriend, but something was missing, and tonight I realized it was because I am still in love with Archer.
