Falcon Temple

Allen woke up as usual, standing from his bed and leaving his room.

"Good morning, brother!"

"Good morning, little brother"

"Good morning, brother Allen!"

Just as he opened the room Allen was received by Ellen's, Eula's and Endora's greetings who where preparing the breakfast.

After the battle with Dvalin, Mondstadt celebrated their victory and the end of Stormterror with news of the actual truth behind it being slowly leaking out by Jean.

It wasn't long before Mondstadt returned to their cheerful everyday life, and for Allen and her sisters to start their new normality with all of them living together over Eula's house that took some remodeling.

"Good morning" Allen greeted, prepared his own coffee and sat down over the table with everyone else.

'It feels a little strange to never had this kind of family moment when growing up and have it now when I could be completely independent' Allen thought as he enjoyed the food and company, a smile appearing on his face as he looked at his sisters and at the new paint in the middle of the room with the four drawn in it 'But I really don't dislike it.'

"Do you have any plans today, brother?" Ellen asked "We were planning to have a walk over Dragonspine. Big sister says she knows a very special place there!"

Allen turned over Eula with an inquiring look. 'Could it be that domain...?'

"It's not what you think!" Eula quickly "It's only a beautiful lake. We can pass some time there and swim a little as it won't be too cold now."

"Endora wants to swim!" Endora said cheerfully.

'Knowing Dragonspine, what Eula thinks of not too cold it might be freezing, but I suppose that having grown in Snezhnaya and having a Cryo Vision, it won't be a problem for Ellen, but...' "Be careful with Endora. It could be too cold for her."

"Endora likes cold and clean water!"

"Brother, are you not gonna come?" Ellen quickly discovered.

"Sorry, but today I have plans with Fischl. A little adventure." Allen answered "She has been nagging too much that I couldn't reject."

"It's so..." Ellen made a sad expression.

"But let's go some other place tomorrow!" Allen quickly interjected "I let you choose all the day activities."

"Yes!" Ellen nodded cheerfully before returning to her food while humming thinking of what to do tomorrow.

"Be careful and enjoy your day"

"Bye!" After breakfast, Allen left the house and went toward Mondstadt.

"These days had been quite the happy ones, but what would they become?" Allen mumbled as he walked, thinking about his sisters.

After their return, Eula took some time away from her knight work, wanting to pass most of her time with her lost sister. While it was quickly accepted and comprehended, Eula would need to return shortly, her work being indispensable in the actual low staffed Knights of Favonius.

'What would Ellen do for now own?' Allen couldn't stop worrying about it. He knew how talented his twin sister was and how she looked up to him and Eula, always looking proudly at them. Allen knew that she most probably want to become an adventurer or a knight, but he really would prefer her to never have the need to fight.

'She had endured so much... I should be the only one who needs to continue fighting.' Allen knew that he would be unable to leave the Fatui, needing to do some work for them shortly, but he truly wanted to keep away Ellen the furthest possible from them.

"What is my knight thinking?" Fischl's voice cut out Allen's thoughts.

"Good morning, my princess" Allen bowed theatrically "I was simply lost in my thought about your majesty and beauty, my princess."

"EH?!" Fischl exclaimed, taking a step back in shock. Her cheeks flushed, but soon she realized it was a joke. "Fumu, if that is indeed the case, it can't really be helped," she replied, continuing with a playful tone.

"So what have you prepared for today?" Allen asked 'Seeing she waiting for me outside the city, she must be very eager.'

"Prepare to be astounded by my discovery! I have obtained a most special quest!" Fischl struck a dramatic pose, exuding excitement. "A Hydro Abyss Mage has been spotted scouting the lands of Mondstadt. The knights managed to locate and even wound the Mage, but it cunningly eluded their grasp! Our mission today is to track down and capture this elusive fiend!"

"Are the knights really okay with leaving this important work to us, adventurers? The Abyss Order can be plotting something..." Allen

"Who do you believe us to be? We are the formidable heroes of Mondstadt! Jean had no hesitation in entrusting us with this quest. Our might is more than sufficient to conquer it!" Fischl exclaimed confidently, her tone resonating with unwavering self-assurance.

'If it's only one Mage, especially an Hydro one, there should be no problem... It being injured only makes it easier.' "Do you have any idea where to start?"

"Fumu!" Fischl proudly hummed, signaling her left eye. "Nothing eludes the piercing gaze of my Auge der Verurteilung," she declared with confidence. "The fiend has sought refuge in nearby ruins, attempting to find respite. Fear not, for Oz has been diligently tracking its movements," Fischl revealed, her voice filled with determination. "Follow my lead."

"Of course, my princess."

Fischl walked full of confidence towards a near domain, the Falcon Temple. The Falcon Temple was one of the Four Winds Temple, previously used to venerate the Four Winds, but that lost its use and prestige, nowadays not being much more than ruins with some monsters inside.

"Oz, what is the situation?" Oz stood in front of the temple.

"The Mage actually took refuge over the end of the domain, it hasn't made any movement for a while." Oz informed.

"Let's go then!" Fischl declared stepping inside the temple, followed by Allen.

'Stop' Fischl suddenly stopped.

"Something is wrong, my princess?" Allen asked at Fischl's sudden stop, seeing a blank look on her face "Are you okay?"

"Eh?!" Color quickly returned to Fischl's eyes "Nothing, nothing! Let's quickly capture him!" She had a feeling, a strange one, but decided to ignore otherwise, looking forward to investigating the ruins and capturing the mage, wanting to enjoy the time alone with him, not having any over the last months.

"Okay" Seeing her return to her usual, Allen decided to not worry and continue forward.

The temple was full of mechanics and traps, however, they were quite easy to predict and solve, with Fischl taking most of them with her bowsmanship. With none being life-threatening and the weak monsters in it, it seemed more of a practice test than an actual ruin, but seeing how close it was to Mondstadt, it was to be expected. The Knights never leaving anything too dangerous near them.

"We are approaching the end..." Allen stated 'I can feel Abyss Energy a little further away, it must be the mage, but it seems too powerful unless it's doing some ritual.'

"Yes, the mage is in the next room. It's all alone." Fischl stated seeing through Oz's vision "Let's finish him!"

"Calm down and be wary, never lose your cool, princess" Allen warned before approaching the final door.

Opening, they found a wide room with the Hydro Abyss Mage in the middle of it, clenching its injured arm.

'Something is wrong. That pose' Allen had a bad feeling from it and once he put his eyes over the mage, he realized the truth 'He is not injured!'

*Swiff* Allen swung his sword at their back, cutting what seemed to be a Hydro sphere.

"It's a trap!"

"Hu, hu, hu! It's too late" The Abyss Mage laughed "Come!"

*Paf!* The door of the room closed, blocking their escape while multiple black portals appeared over the room, from them, more than 20 hilichurls and two Electro Abyss Mage appeared, Fischl and Allen finding quickly surrounded by enemies.

It seemed a bad situation, but it wasn't an impossible one, however, Allen's eyes were fixed on a big black portal at the back of the first Abyss Mage from where nobody had left yet, feeling an immense foreboding within it.

"There's really need for my help?" From the portal, a tall figure wearing blue armor and a blade over his hands surged.

"It was His Highness's order. I wanted to make sure nothing goes wrong, sir Herald" The Mage said with reverence.

"Let's end them quickly."

Allen had never seen anyone like him, but he could feel a strong Cryo and Abyss Element from him, far stronger than the ones of Mages.

'This will be difficult' Allen clenched his sword as his left hand unconsciously touched his left pocket where his Delusion was 'Fuck!'
