Chapter 12: Aloof heroine proposes Narcissist

Utaha was sitting on her seat even though study hours were over.

To be honest, she was not expecting any fun from the first day of school until the narcissist made his entry.

When Seiya Kanie introduced himself, Utaha immediately knew that the boy was not an ordinary student. There was something mysterious about the guy but she was too lazy to invest her interest in him.

She also enjoyed how Seiya isolated himself on the first day of school just like her although he was just fortunate enough to sit beside a nice guy.

Seiya was also the only one who didn't seem interested in her looks. Usually, boys always come to talk with her only for her to reject them coldly but Seiya on another hand never even noticed her or look at her lustfully like other boys at their age do.

At the end of class, she noticed that only two of them were left alone in the class. Although her eyes were reading the text of the book, her mind was stuck on the intention for which the boy was staring at her.

'Finally noticed, huh.' Utaha sighed and turned around to see what the other party had to say. But to her surprise, she found no one.

"Hey, beauty. Looking for handsome me?" She flinched a little when she heard that strong yet elegant voice from behind and found the boy sitting on a desk.

"Hmm, I was just looking for a bug nagging me for a while," Utaha said calmly. Although Seiya was quite good-looking, there was a big train that boy has to go through to pick her interest.

"Oh, I am hurt~. I didn't expect such words from such aloof beauty." Seiya smirked.

"Is that a praise? Because it must be a lot of work coming from such a narcissist's mouth. So what is Mr. Handsome wants from little ol' aloof beauty like me?" Utaha said with a slight smile.

"What's the rush, ma'am? Aren't you lucky to find yourself in the presence of a cool guy like me?" Seiya said with the same casual tone. He wasn't bothered by Utaha's sharp tongue; instead, he was actually enjoying the talk. After all, he was also a narcissist with a foul mouth. Like anyone could see from the way he talked with his new classmates.

"' Kya~! Kanie-sama is talking to me I am so lucky~! UwU~.' Utaha Kasumigaoka blushes intensely." Utaha acted like a typical shy girl and then changed her expression back to a normal dry face. "I can act like that but I think it's time to go home."

"Well, then I will come down to point. You see I am quite a talented individual and could appear best boyfriend you will find in the history of boyfriends." Seiya said and flipped his hair.

"In short, you are proposing me to be your girlfriend?" Utaha said with a plain look but a little bit of pink glow could be seen on her cheeks. It was first her time a boy was touching for a subject for being a boyfriend directly.

"Nope, it's an offer that I, Seiya Kanie, am single, ready to mingle. You are the one proposing me, Utaha Kasumigaoka." Seiya announced his objective.

"Hee~, in short, it is me who is going to confess to you? 'Kya~, Kanie-sama, making a move on me! Utaha Kasumigaoka blushes again.'" Utaha made an act and then returned to her casual self, "Sorry Kanie-san, I am kind of lazy and wouldn't be your ideal outgoing girl." Utaha shrugged her shoulder.

Although she was interested in dating, she didn't want to experience it for now. Going on dates and keeping up with messages and calls, was too much work for a loafer like her. Besides, Seiya looks like a normie. Once he found out what her profession was and who she actually was, he would be going to reject her anyway.

However, Seiya's next words blew all the assumptions she created for a narcissist boy named Seiya Kanie.

"Utako Kasumi, the writer of Metronome in Love with a sale of 20,000 copies of your first volume and 36,000 for the second volume. Is that your other identity, correct?"

Utaha widened her eyes for a moment when her other identity was brought to discussion.

"However, listen to the next part. Utako Kasumi, although famous for interesting scenario maker who has written enough chapters on the web which is sufficient material to make the next volume but after just a second volume, she/he seems to have forgotten. I wonder if she broke the agreement with the publisher or…" Seiya's eyes rolled before landing on Utaha's red stern eyes. "She is unable to properly convert her imagination into words with true feelings of the story."

Utaha again was shocked. She didn't expect some random guy to find her identity or even discover her weakness that she was facing for a while. No Seiya was not a random guy; she can no longer perceive him as a normal narcissist.

"Hey, d-don't need to look at me like that. I have no bad intention." Seiya said with a sweat drop since Utaha started staring daggers at him all of sudden.

"Then Mr. Random guy with no bad intention, can you state the business in simple words so that this fool can understand?" Utaha said with dry eyes. She was starting to get a little pissed since her information was being told by some random guy she never met. In the end, she was also a normal girl with her own privacy.

"I also wonder what business I might have… Perhaps I would love to share my benevolence with my girlfriend~." Seiya said with a chuckle.

Utaha continued to stare at Seiya with a flustered face and finally, her curiosity killed the cat. "Fine. So Mr. Seiya Kanie, would you like to give me, Utaha Kasumigaoka, a chance to be your girlfriend?"

She gave up. She has to praise Seiya for winning over stubbornness. Besides, she was curious about what a narcissist has to offer. The deal also seems interesting.

"Seiya Kanie can't reject such a beautiful girl, can he?" Seiya sighed shamelessly inviting several more glares from Utaha. He then stood from the desk and walked towards Utaha which astonished Utaha a little. He then gently lifted Utaha's hand and kissed it. "I hereby accept you as my official girlfriend. Let's take care of each other." Seiya said with a wink.

Utaha was taken back at how natural Seiya was at flirting but she didn't dislike this part. Instead, she likes this part about Seiya as she curved a genuine smile. "Cringe practicing, huh? I will say, likewise."

Seiya then picked his back and asked, "Well then we go?"

"Where?" Utaha asked.

"To my house, we are going to do it there. Don't worry no one will disturb us." Seiya said and dragged Utaha out of the classroom.

"Eh…?" Suddenly Utaha realized that deal was also a little dangerous.
