Flee while you can!

Turning around, I grabbed Sabo and Kuina and fled as quickly as I could. Ignoring their protests I ran until I felt that we were far enough before letting go of my two companions.

"What the fuck was that? Why did we suddenly run?"

"Yes. Bogard is on this island."

"Is he searching for us?"

"Can you think of any other reason for him to be here?"

"We don't have bounties placed on us, so he could take us to the hq and force us to live there. Once that happens we can kiss our pirate career goodby!"

"Can somebody please explain me what is going on?"

"Short version now everything else later. My grandpa is a navy soldier and his right hand man Bogard being here means he is most likely searching for us. We can't beat grandpa in combat so once he catches us he will take us with him even if by force, since he wants to prevent us from becoming pirates."

"We don't have any bounties placed on us and are unknown to both the navy and the world government. He won't face any real problems to end our pirate career before it even really started."

"Isn't that a bit extreme. Like going overboard and all?"

"Jackson-nii chances are high that their ship is docked in the bay where we left our boat. Going there or trying to flee on see is too risky. If they spot us and tell old man about it will put him hot on our tracks. He won't let us ever go!"

"I know. We can't get to the boat so we will have to leave the boat behind and flee by using geppo. Too bad we stored the food and clothes yesterday after the party into the boat but fleeing before grandpa can find us is our top priority.

"That's a no from me! I haven't even learned geppo yet and Sabo even though he learned it can barely take 5 steps in the air!"

"I know! I will be carrying the two of you, someone just needs to keep an eye on the compass!"

We quickly decided on a plan and route before starting. Without losing any more time I gave Sabo the compass, lifted them up and started to run. Using geppo in combination with soru, we left this island in the fastest speed I could carry them and we didn't stop for a whole day and night.

Unbeknown to us at that time, our prediction proved to be correct, as grandpa stepped into every village of that Mountain in search for us, giving it his best to find us either before he is ordered back or we gain a bounty.

Having found out that we stayed relatively long on the island and having found the packed boat we had to leave behind, he ordered to search the island from top to bottom and turned ever

That of course gave us the time to reach our destination, find a pirate ship of a crew I've never heard of and take control over their ship by beating them into submission.

From then on everything became easy for a while. Our newly acquired minions would do all the work be it navigation, cleaning or cooking while we basically did whatever we wanted.

Hiding here and taking it easy once in a while is great and everything would be perfect if it weren't for one fact, I tried my hardest not to thing about.

These idiots actually managed to kidnapped a noble's daughter from the Frauce Kingdom and asked for ransom money!

The exchange is scheduled to happen in three days time and I surely don't plan to keep the girl on the ship.

I could have grabbed Sabo and Kuina and simply left, maybe taking over another ship or getting us a fitting boat but if I did that I wouldn't have the chance to rack in 50.000.000 belli!

After all I am a pirate, a kind pirate perhaps, but still a pirate and 50.000.000 were a lot of money for the current me even after splitting it up between the three of us.

Unfortunately the exchange didn't go as planned.

Instead of money the noble prepared a lot of soldiers and ships, thinking we wouldn't there to do anything to his daughter.

Well luckily for them neither me nor my mates want a young girls blood on our hands so I knocked out the soldiers with conqueror's haki and tried to sail away after returning the girl but a small marine fleet appeared and surrounded us.

I recognized the commanding ship, it was Nelson Royale's fleet.

"Jackson-nii what now?"

"We beat them up and then we'll be on our way of course."

Sabo and Kuina were too strong for the poor soldiers. Thinking back to the anime, Sabo was able to surpass Hack, the fishman around this time even without observation haki and Kuina who bested her father recently cut through them like they were made out of paper.

I split the ships into halves, one after another until we decimated the whole fleet before we went on our way.

Later on this incident became the start of 'the East's three devils' legend!
