Chapter 46: Favor, Visit.

If you see any mistakes, feel free to write. I'll fix it.

----------------------

"Should I ask?" Momo thought hesitantly as she bit the chocolate bar, which doesn't seem very tasty at the moment.

The reason for her hesitation was her hunger, or rather the hunger her Quirk brought her.

Her Quirk was called creation. It was a better version of her family's quirks. She was so influential and powerful that her family was considering transferring all their assets to her.

Normally this would be impossible. The people who invested in the company, the people who bought the funds, and the people who bought the shares got their claim and stepped aside when the owners died. But her Quirk and possible impact on the company in the future were so great that each of them had agreed to keep their possessions in the company and accept transfer it to her.

Such a Quirk was not only overpowering but also at a huge disadvantage. That was when her Quirk used oil from her body to create something.

If she didn't use it too much, it wouldn't have any effect on her. But if she crossed a certain line, she would start to get dizzy, nauseous, and starving. If it went on any longer, she was in a lot of pain.

She had to use his Quirk too much today because of the chaos. She produced clothes, blankets, and various things to help the wounded, completed inadequate health supplies, and helped to struggle pro-heroes in their battles.

She hadn't brought much with her as she thought nothing big would happen today. However, she was wrong, and because of that mistake, she was currently starving from the overuse of her Quirk.

Momo was in the middle of eating before Blake, Nejire and Rumi arrived.

When Blake pulled out the stuffed leaf, she was involuntarily drawn to him. The smell fascinated her, especially Rumi's stuffed leaf, which was almost entirely made of vegetables, draining the water from her mouth.

People might have thought she liked fatty foods because of her Quirk, but Momo preferred foods like vegetables and so on over fatty foods. Of course, she liked meat, but if she had a meat platter and a plate of vegetables in front of her, she would happily choose vegetables.

She wanted to ask Blake for one, but after thinking about the favors she had received from him repeatedly, she was in no condition to ask even a small request from him.

Speaking to the girls, Blake glanced at Momo out of the corner of his eye. Seeing her wishful but hesitant expression, he made a guess.

"Yaoyorozu-san, can you do me a favor?" He started patting Nejire head to calm her, who was tugging at his arm.

"Sure.'' Momo agreed enthusiastically. She secretly exhaled. Blake finally asked her for something.

"I've been having some problems with birds lately, can you help me with that?"

"Birds?"

''Hehe...''

''Haha...''

Momo couldn't understand what Blake was saying. Unlike her, the two girls understood the meaning of Blake's words and involuntarily giggled.

"Yes, some birds bother me. Can you help me catch them?'' Blake started rubbing Nejire's head with both hands. A relaxed look appeared on Nejire's face, dropping herself on Blake's chest.

"Even if I don't know exactly what you want, I'll do my best." Momo shook her head in a mixed expression. She didn't understand Blake's request, but she was going to do her best.

"Catching birds... I think it would be best." Momo put her finger to her chin and thought. Within seconds, she found the best thing he could catch without harming a bird.

A colorful light appeared on her hands. Every second the light was in her hand, an object was embodied. After a few seconds, the object appeared. These were two sticks glued together.

"What is this?" Blake got confused looking at the stuff. Knowing that she was pretty smart, he knew this item was exactly what he wanted, but he couldn't figure out exactly what it was.

''It's a sticky web. Birds cannot see the windows, instead, they see the sky behind them. That's the logic of this net, with its sticky and transparent nature, it's best for catching a bird harmlessly."

Momo grabbed two sticks and pulled them to both sides as she described the item.

When the adherent sticks separated, it emitted a substance that was difficult to see with the eye. The substance was transparent, like a sachet, and a sticky liquid ran over it. The thin substance showed no signs of breaking or stretching, even as Momo stretched her arms all the way.

''If you press the buttons on its side, it will stretch. That way you can catch the birds. How?'' She asked with a distrustful expression. Because of the confidence, she'd lost recently, she wasn't sure of the decision she'd chosen.

''Good, better than I could have asked for.'' Blake thanked her sincerely. Momo involuntarily gave him a lot better than he wanted.

He dipmed his hand in the bag and pulled out a stuffed sheet.

"I know it's not comparable to the net, but right now I don't have the money to afford it. At least admit it. I'll pay for the school tomorrow."He knew he could get it for free with the favors he did her, but he had no intention of doing it.

First of all, he didn't do those favors because he wanted something in return. He did it because he wanted to support his beloved anime character a little bit.

Also, he didn't want to her be left behind by a character like Izuku who had gotten his Quirk by sheer luck and was unfairly empowered. He was aware that Izuku had paid a great price to develop this power, and that he was constantly facing pain.

However, Unlike İzuku, the girl in front of him worked tirelessly on Quirk for 15 years and spent her entire childhood on it. Izuku, on the contrary, would go to greater heights than Momo because of Quirk's potential and being stronger than the others.

Especially considering that the ghosts inside One For All would appear in the future, the gap between Momo and Izuku would only gradually widen.

Blake knew Momo wanted to be the greatest hero, like any child. But thanks to All Might's favoritism and the spirits within Quirk, the gap between them was only bound to widen.

Blake didn't want this girl to get out like that. So he decided to give her a helping hand and help her until they were enemies.

"No, No, No, No." Momo raised both hands in front of her and started waving.

"I can't take money from you for something like that. I can't forgive myself if I take money from you after you've helped me so much." Momo smiled as if it was okay.

"Then at least take this." Blake handed the leaf to her.

Momo didn't reject Blake this time. She really wanted to taste the leaf, and that desire was ample with Blake waving it in front of her for a while. The hole in her stomach had reached a level she couldn't hold.

She took the leaf from Blake's hand with both hands and took it to her mouth. But instead of biting, she took a deep breath.

"It smells so good..." Momo could tell by the smell of the stuffed leaf she was holding that it was as good as the food made by the chefs in her house.

After absorbing the ecstatic smell for a while, she took the leaf to her mouth and bit it.

Crunch!

With a loud crackle, the rice stuffed in the leaf filled her mouth. The taste, which caresses the taste buds in small bursts in the mouth, caused the eyes to expand.

"You seem to like it." Blake smiled at her as he handed Rumi and Momo another one.

"Hm! Hm!!" Momo shook her head hard twice. Not only did she like it, but she also admire it. She especially liked it as it had no meat or anything greasy in it.

Blake involuntarily giggled as Momo took a bite out of the leaf she was holding with both hands. Momo had no idea how cute she looked right now.

She was biting her food with both hands. Her cheeks were stuffed with food, and she looked like a small hamster by burying herself in the food.

"Blake-kun." Blake was enjoying the girls' reactions in her own right, the mature and pleasant timbre of the voice interrupted their beautiful moments.

He turned his head to where the sound came from, and there he saw RyukyuWhen their eyes met, she smiled gently and waved her hand as if signaling him to come.

After giving Rumi the bag, he waved his hand to the girls and headed towards Ryukyu.

"What was it, Ryukyu-san?" Blake put his hands in his pockets, tilted his head to the side. His messy white hair bounced slightly.

He didn't know why this woman called him, but if he had to make a rough guess, he'd say, she probably called because of his conversation with Nejire.

"I want to talk to you about something." Ryukyu wrapped her waist around her hands.

"Sure," Blake shrugged his shoulders.

"I was surprised by what Nejire did at the agency today. She doesn't normally do that. Especially in an emergency, she doesn't sit where she is, talk on the phone, or ask someone for permission. Did you talk to her before?'' Ryukyu was finally able to ask the question that had been plaguing her heart the whole time.

Nejire surprised her twice today. The first was that she sat down in an emergency, talked to Blake, and asked him for permission. Normally she would never do that, and when there was an emergency, which had happened before, she would act immediately.

The second was that she ignored her. She wasn't arrogant enough to say that the others couldn't ignore her, but when Nejire did that at that moment, it bothered her.

In an emergency, she had to have the word and the people who worked under her should listen to her. So they could move as a whole and intervene faster.

Nejire's movements prevented this. If she continually asked Blake's permission in future events like this or larger, there could be unintended accidents or deaths.

She had to stop it as soon as possible. For the sake of Nejire and the people who may die in the future.

"Yes, something happened." Blake gave her a short answer. No matter how much this woman was like Nejire's big sister and had taken care of her for years, she was not in a position to interfere in the private life of the two, or know what they were going through.

"May I know what exactly it is?" Ryukyu smiled lightly.

"No," Blake said casually.

''??'' Ryukyu was surprised. She didn't expect Blake to be so clear and precise. She knew what she was saying was a bit rude and invasive, and was ready to be rejected, but she didn't think he'd slap his words in her face like that.

"I said, no. As you know, these matters are between me and Nejire. No matter how close you are to her, a stranger like you doesn't need to know."

"T-True." Ryukyu was involuntarily embarrassed by Blake's sharp words. She scratched her cheek lightly with her finger.

"But I still want to know. I want to know what you talked to Nejire about and what you did that could make her like this." Even if she was embarrassed, she asked anyway.

She didn't care if Blake called her an invader or a woman who meddled in her affairs. If it could stop Nejire from feeling great remorse in the future, she didn't care to be thought of that way.

Blake didn't answer her. Instead, he looked her in the eye.

Her lizard-like upright eyes radiated determination and clarity. Blake could tell from the look in her eyes that she wasn't going to back down.

His lips rose involuntarily. His neutral opinion of Ryukyu had improved slightly.

"You should ask Nejire and talk to her. After all, isn't she the main reason for doing this?" He turned around and headed towards the girls. He left a few words behind.

Ryukyu kept looking at the man who was getting further and further away from her. Blake didn't say anything to say he wasn't a bad guy, but his relaxed demeanor and clear speaking style made her realize that he wouldn't hurt Nejire and make her do something she might regret in the future.

She was still going to talk to Nejire. But the seeds of doubt deep in her heart were wiped out by Blake's attitude. She was able to confirm that Blake didn't manipulate Nejire using her pure emotions.

Blake left her alone and walked up to the three girls.

"Ha?" When he came to the girls, the look on his face hardened. He's frozen with what he saw. His lips began to tremble, he struggled to suppress the desire for laughter that rose inside him.

The girls were so focused on food that they didn't notice the rice grains and sauces scattered all over their mouths. Their mouths were covered in sauces, and their fingers, faces, and clothes were covered with rice.

"Oh, Blake, you're here." Nejire turned her head to Blake. She waved her hand as a pure, broad smile blossomed on her face. Normally that would be a nice smile, but with the sauce and rice grains on her face, it was the last straw.

"HAHAHAHA..." Blake held his stomach with both hands and laughed roaring. Tears appeared on the sides of his eyes. His stomach started to hurt slowly because he was laughing too much.

"Why are you laughing?" Nejire tilted her head to the side. Her smile was replaced by a clean curiosity. There was an invisible question mark on her head.

Her innocent act made Blake laugh even stronger.

He wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes and approached the girl. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her towards him. He placed a quick kiss on her lips, then took a napkin and pinched her nose.

"Bğlake, what ğou doing?" Nejire closed her eyes and held Blake's hand with both hands. She started stomping like a child trying to escape from her mother.

"Don't move, your face is sunken all over. Let me clean it up." With a warm smile on his face, Blake pulled her by her nose with unharming force and brought her face closer to him.

"Heh." A small chuckle escaped Rumi's lips. She knew Nejire's condition from the very beginning but left her as she was her usual self. Luckily she hadn't shown anything embarrassing in front of Blake, knowing she would never do such a thing

"What are you laughing at, you gluttonous rabbit. I'll clean your face after Nejire's face." Blake turned to her and said the words that created a huge sledgehammer effect for her.

"Eh??" Rumi put her hands to her face. She couldn't believe she could do something like that.

She pulled back her fingers and faced reality. Her fingers were covered in orange soup and rice stains.

"Hehe..." Momo knew what she was doing might have been rude, but she couldn't stop a giggle from her lips. She would never do such a thing, no matter how hungry she was, the lady's manners and food rules she learned over the years prevented her from doing so. She, Momo Yaoyorozu, has never been more embarrassing-

"And so do you, Yaoyorozu-san." Blake said without looking at her as he cleaned Nejire's cheeks.

"Eh?" Momo froze. Did she do that? She turned to the others to confirm.

Blake wasn't looking at her, but the sarcastic grin on his lips gave him away. Nejire, whose face was wiped with a napkin and therefore could not see her expression, shook her head to take her after her.

Rumi, on the other hand, was looking for a companion of shame, and she saw that Momo didn't expect anything like this as much as she did, she put her arms around her chest and started shaking her head, causing the rice on her face to fall off. She was not going to clean them up, she wanted Blake to do it while he was taking care of her.

"How embarrassing..." A healthy rash appeared on her cheeks. She put her hands on her cheek and bowed her head.

The trio continued to hang out in their way, not knowing there were two pairs of eyes watching them. One belonged to Ryukyu, and the other was a pair of sky blue eyes, filled with open sadness in the distance and tears streaming down the edge of her eyes.

In one part of the city, there was a large house. This house differed from the others in that it was built in the classical Japanese style, rather than furnished with typical glass and concrete.

The exterior walls of the house were made of concrete but covered with tiles. The door leading inside was a large wooden door in the old style.

Looking inside, it was possible to see a large, green field. Although various large stones, huts, and fences were laid around, the garden overall was full of grass and trees and had a relaxing atmosphere.

There was a stony road leading home through the courtyard door. The door to the house was a paper door and had lighting right next to it.

Although the house had concrete walls, unlike today's houses, there was plenty of wood. The roof of the house was made of light-colored tiles and boards.

Looking at the house from above, could see that it was built like an angular "C". There was a large courtyard in the middle and it had two floors. The walls were covered in Shoji, and Sudares hung from the ceiling of the lower floor.

[EN: Shoji; sliding panels made of translucent paper in wooden or bamboo frames.

Sudare: It is a traditional window covering made horizontally from wood, bamboo, or other natural materials. It is used only in spring and summer. ]

Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat!

At the moment it was possible to hear the sounds of serial steps in this beautiful, peaceful house. The sound of steps conveyed the urgency of the person, sometimes getting caught in his foot and slipping, showing how panicked he was.

Fvikkk!!

The person slid around the corner. When he was running in unbalanced steps, he sometimes touched the ground with his hands. He didn't stop until he came to the door of a particular room.

He came to the door and started banging on the door.

"Nee-chan, Nee-chan. I said Nee-chan! Please wake up. I'm too young to die, I haven't even had a girlfriend yet. WAKE UP!" His voice trembled with panic, almost pleading. He punched the door, slapped it, did everything so that the person inside could open it.

"You're so noisy." There was a muffled noise coming from inside the room. A muffled voice came from inside the room. The hoarse voice had a wheezing tone, indicating that person's throat was irritated.

Looking inside the room, it was possible to see that it was dark so that not a single light was allowed inside. There's a futon in the middle of the room, and that's where the wheezing sounded. Futon had a pronounced swelling.

"There's food in the fridge. When Shoto comes, you heat it and eat it. If you're too hungry to wait for Shoto, just eat tofu for now and don't make so much fuss." The door-facing part of the futon opened slightly, and an arm popped out, pointing to a specific spot as if pointing to the person outside.

"It's not about food. Actually, I'm really hungry, and it would be nice if there was a meal. But that's not the point. Nee-chan...'' The person stopped for a few seconds when the word "food" passed. After deciding he was really hungry, he proceeded to his sentence in a panic.

"Grandma's here and she's waiting for us."

Kvrrbamm!!

The youngster raised his hand to keep banging on the door. But that's when the door opened quickly, with a clear voice. His hand stood in the air.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go."' The woman who came out grabbed the young man's clothes by the back and started dragging him inside.

It didn't take long for the two to get to a specific room. This room was a guest room specially built for the visit of respectable family elders.

She froze when she came to the door of the room. Her pupils began to tremble uncontrollably.

She just realized her condition and her appearance. Her brother's words had such an impact that she didn't even have a chance to prepare herself and fix the mess before she arrived.

She decided not to go in and turned around to leave. She would come back after cleaning.

"My grandson comes to the door but gives up at the last moment. This old woman seems unwelcome here. What do you think, Fuyumi?"

Fuyumi stopped in the middle of her step. An ugly expression appeared on her face. Forcing herself to smile, she answered in the smoothest voice she could straighten.

"'Of course not, Grandma. I was just going to make you… tea, yes tea, tea for you." She tried to make up an excuse to escape, but the person on the other side of the door wasn't going to let her go that easily.

"I have a nice cup of tea here. But I don't have a grandchild to enjoy. Won't you come in?"

As Fuyumi was about to respond, her arm was held by her brother. She turned her head to him.

"Please come in with me." He made his request silently. Tears were threatening to spill, the hand holding her arm trembled.

"Hah… I'm coming." Under her brother's pleading gaze, she hesitated for a few seconds before finally accepting her fate.

She knew the pressure she put on her grandmother and how hard it was to talk to her, let alone look her in the eye. She couldn't leave her brother alone in a situation like that.

She took a deep breath before opening the door, opened the door, and went inside.

"Welcome grandma-" She came in with a big step, she had her usual smile on her face. But when she stepped inside, she froze.

She could feel the two bright blue eyes fixed on her. Her gaze gave Fuyumi chills, causing her skin to ache as if pierced by small knives. Her eyes were closed, but she could feel her grandmother's scowl. Cold sweat started to cover her forehead and the rest of her body.

With all the courage she could gather, she ignored the gaze and reached out to her grandmother in a few steps. She fell to her knees and prostrated herself with her hands on the ground.

"Welcome, Grandma, I hope you're in good health."

"I-I hope you're in good healdddd.''

Her brother had bitten his tongue and was grinding his teeth as he spoke. She used to laugh a little at normal times, but she didn't laugh right now, keeping her stance while keeping the expression on her face steady.

No response came from the front. The two began to stretch. An air was descending on their backs that made them feel as if they were in the presence of a Dragon.

"Are you going to make me ask, Fuyumi?"

''...'' Fuyumi didn't answer her grandmother's question. A painful expression appeared in her eyes facing the ground, her eyes dimmed with sadness. As she involuntarily recalled what she saw yesterday, tears appeared on the side of her eyes.
