Leo made his way to the car as the man opened the window.

Leo leaned down and made eye contact before the man spoke to him.

"How did it go?"

Leo shrugged.

"No issues, no evidence. Exactly how we want it, right?"

The man laughed.

"Exactly, get in so we can leave."

Leo obliged and stepped into the car and put on his seatbelt.

They quickly drove off away from the gas station.

Leo got into a comfortable position before relaxing his body.

"So, how many stops and switches will we have?" asked Leo.

"Uhhh, Let's see. We've got quite a while to drive, and as far as I know, miss Valentina wants two switches at the very least. We will have some occasional stops to rest and to assure that if we will be tracked that they can't make a proper timeline, so expect it to be a while."

Leo sighed.

"Oh well, it's not like we can do anything about it." said Leo as he closed his eyes for a while.

The total silence made it quite comfortable, all that could be heard was the sound of the car driving.

"Oh right, miss Valentina wanted me to ask you if you mutilated any of the corpses. Don't know why she wants to know that."

"Tell her that no bodies really were mutilated although some deaths may appear a bit odd, most of the kills were clean cuts."

"Right."

Leo knew all too well why Valentina wanted to know if any of the bodies were mutilated.

It wouldn't be normal for a bunch of bodies to be completely mutilated and for no evidence to be present, the case would quickly be handed down to the foundation which in return would spell doom for Leo.

It was nice to know for Leo that Valentina also considered his standing as well, back when he was with MC&D stuff like this would never really be asked.

Leo certainly didn't miss the mission aspect with MC&D where he practically was a foot soldier and had no choice, with Valentina and the insurgency Leo could at least choose himself if he wanted to participate in anything else since his only real duty was to be the bodyguard of Valentina.

In all honesty, Leo was quite glad that he left MC&D, although he did miss a handful of his former teammates, but something told him that he would be seeing them again at some point.

"With the goals I have it is pretty much inevitable." thought Leo.

"Mind if I clock out for a while?" asked Leo to the driver.

"I don't mind, just keep your weapon at bay since you never know."

Leo laughed.

"Hah, yeah. Last time I fell asleep in a car I also needed a weapon." said Leo as he laid back a bit.

"I'll wake you up at our first switch." said the driver to Leo.

"Sure."

Leo closed his eyes and started snoozing off.

"Been a while since I've been able to rest comfortably." thought Leo.

However this thought didn't last for long as he heard a whisper.

"Open..."

"Your eyes..."

"!"

Leo opened his eyes and found himself in a weirdly recognizable place.

He was back in the void where he originally met Ion.

Ion once again stood in front of Leo, waiting.

"What is it that you want?" asked Leo.

"To congratulate you on realizing the extent of sarkic powers, to give you a goal, and to give you a warning." said Ion in a serious tone.

Leo sat down in the void.

"Right, let's get this done then."

"Needless to say, I am glad that you've started using your sarkic powers to some extent instead of neglecting them, do realise that you decide what to do with them."

"What do you mean?" asked Leo.

"If you decide to nurture your powers you can scale it as far as you want to. Now you are simply using them to kill people, what I want you to do is think about what is all possible with your powers and to try out some different things, even if they fail."

Leo thought about it for a while and nodded.

"Seems reasonable to me."

"Excellent, let's move on to the second topic then, a goal."
