The following morning I was sad to the point everything around me felt numb. I never thought I would miss his smirks but I did. Everything hurt now it even hurts to breathe. I wish this pain would end I only felt it when my mom died and my aunt left. Has he become something more than a guy who sleeps in my room. Well, I sleep in his, to be honest. I lost my best friend and my aunt is also angry at me. It is better this way I decided. I was supposed to be alone and focus on my mission. That way no one is hurt if I did something wrong

I was greeted by the little girl I saw in my early days. She was missing all these days I didn't get a chance to ask about her. I have forgotten and was later sidetracked by the developments in my personal life. Honestly, I missed her a little. These days I make up my bed. Because Lucien never does it. I clean up after him he was messy I thought with a smile. She looked a little warm but not friendly but I can work with that.

"Where were you?", I asked the little she-devil.

" I was busy. Just don't tell me that you missed me", she shrugged.

"I thought they got rid of you", I said to get a rise out of her.

" I was required to be in service of the orphanage that's why I left. I only came back because they needed me here more", she said smugly.

"They look after our children?", I asked shocked.

" What no? We have orphanages for halfbreeds of whores", she didn't say like you but it was understood. I knew birth control could get fucked up sometimes.

"So the fathers won't look after their children?", I asked her.

She looked at me like I was crazy to even think that. I sighed after all if humans aren't respected here. How can I think they will care about human children? At least they aren't killed as soon as they are born.

" Who looks after them?", I asked.

"Their mothers can stay and look after till they are babies. After that, they can decide to give them up for adoption to Lycans with no kids. So don't worry about them. The infertility rates are very high here", she said.

" Is that where I go after this year?", I asked. I know each year they bought fresh stock.

"If you Lucien were to let you go you can work in the farms with old girls", she said.

" What if I want to go back to my house? Is that allowed?", I asked her curiously.

"Why do you want to leave? The prince is smitten with you and you want to go back to starve?", she asked me.

" It's better to starve than live without respect", I told her.

"I'm done answering your questions Mara. I'm not allowed to talk with you girls. If you have any questions you can ask your manager?", she said.

My mouth opened wide at her mention of a manager. I never knew there was a manager for us. I want to meet him. I told her enthusiastically. Maybe then I can understand more about the procedure so I can beat the system.

She laughed out loud confusing me. I was surprised since I saw her laugh at anything before. Her laugh made her look like the carefree little girl she should be.

" I can't believe you fell for that. I saw that in one of your movies made by humans", she chirped. Of course, I was so naive a little girl fooled me.

"Don't be sad. If you want to know your future. I can arrange that", she said conspiring.

" How? ", I asked her sceptically.

" I know a wise and if you give me some money. I can bring her to you. Since you are not allowed to go outside", she said.

"A wise I don't understand what you mean ", I told her confused.

" You are always full of doubts. Wise means someone who can tell the future", she said in a duh voice.

"I don't want to know my future from a random person who lives by fooling others", I said.

" She is the real deal I tell you. She told me something bad is going to happen to me in two days and I fell and broke my hand", she said seriously.

"I don't have any money Riley", I said trying to get out of it.

" Alright, you don't have to pay any money. I will pay for you. But if you believe her then you can pay me back later with some interest of course", she told me.

"I know my future already. Please don't waste your hard-earned money on some pseudo", I told her friendly.

" When you meet her you will believe her. I have to go now. I'm late", she said.

I sighed and waved her a bye. Now she was my only friend. I wish I could tell her my future was the last thing I want to know about. I don't need someone to tell me how I will live my life. I know my path is going to be very difficult to walk. But I'm determined to go through and heaven help Igor when I unleash my wrath on him.

I have missed several days of training moping. Lucien has left me alone clearing the path towards Igor. I now only have to beckon him and he will come. I have seem him watching my body like a viper looking at its prey.

When the time and place suits me I will strike and he will die before my eyes. I will finally be able to let go of my past. I will free my aunt and my niece. If there will be a fight between me and Lucien I will wish he is the one who survives because I can't live on by killing him.
