And time passes (seventh birthday)

In my sixth year I became an expert in magical rituals and runology. My magic circles became unparalleled and my general skills improved a lot. On my 6th birthday Dad gave me a Tiamat scale and instead of the small thing I expected a single scale from it was simply giant. Sapphire blue with some incredibly delicate white veins. I haven't done the skill absorption ritual yet because I was too young and my magic needs to be more condensed. Appropriately at 7 or 8 years old and I could do it.

Still, I've experimented with a lot of cool things with magic and have managed to add some very useful bloodline abilities since my experiment with the White Mind's Eye.

Among my skills were:

Enkidu

Using intentional magic, restraint and containment runes, demonic materialization, and my blood as a base I got a variant of the Uzumaki clan's Adamantine Seal Chains. It was a shade of dark green instead of the gold used by the hero of the same name, but the effect was progressive and depended on my growth. Basically sacred gear linked to my bloodline. I figured having the vitality of a demon and the personal Mind's Eye, the only thing missing would be the chains for me to have all the powers of this particular clan of red haired ninjas. I could also update the effects of this skill using adding runes and more runes while learning them so it was my strongest containment skill because it has almost infinite growth possibilities;

Body Flicker

Similar to the ninja counterpart, vitalizing my body with magical or demonic energy (There is no difference in skill activation) I was able to increase my speed enormously... Although it still has some physical effects similar to the leaves that circled the ninja before he disappeared. In my case it was a green whirlwind. I could also perfectly control the advances and change direction at will, unlike the ninja counterpart who only allowed straight-line speed;

It was a spell based on the flames of Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist and had the same abilities. The blue flames did more than considerable damage and were just as dangerous as Fiendfire and Protego Diabolika. In fact, my flames were better. Another important feature was that I had the ability to choose what to burn;

Avatar Mode

Materializing the four basic elements, earth, water, fire and air, I filled the four with massive amounts of energy and in a ritual empowered by a solar eclipse I merged them into my bloodline quite easily. In this mode I could instinctively control the elements without any problems or common timeouts. It was basically giving me ultimate affinity in elemental magic...

And that was it. Aside from the Mind's Eye, there were no more bloodline abilities because I felt saturated after the ritual to add Elemental affinity to me. That said, I already had enough magic available to be greedy so I didn't care. In fact, I've basically covered almost every aspect necessary for a mage type demon, only my physique hadn't gone OP yet.

My rune studies came to a standstill as I no longer had materials available for research. Mom was surprised by my request for new books, but she told me that the rune culture in wizarding England was not the most developed. Because of that I started researching runes from other countries and cultures. The magical culture of my mother's society was very rich, but it wasn't complete so there was no reason not to improve in other respects.

Egyptian hieroglyphs were my next subject of study and they gave me an awful lot of surprises. Most of the runes used by English wizards were Norse runes and these runes were good for shields and similar arrangements. Hieroglyphs were runes focused on cursing rather than protecting. And not just any curses, but scary things like automatic mummification, falling limbs (men's penises being the preferred targets) and things like that. It took me a few months to finish researching everything. Mom was convinced to take me on a trip to Egypt to learn from Muggle Egyptologists and experts in Egyptian history and culture during my studies of her texts and I greatly increased my experience and understanding of rune magic in general. Like my father, I became a kind of reclusive researcher most of the time...

Of course I still spent a lot of time with my parents. I wouldn't be the kind of person who ignores the people he loves in search of knowledge. It's true that spending time with my dad didn't take me out of my studies as we researched together, so I didn't have many distractions.

At age seven on my birthday, I used the year of first maturation as food for the ritual using the Tiamat scale. It worked splendidly and I got 6 times stronger and faster. My body became slightly immune to magic and my reactions improved a lot. Add to that the fact that draconic magic has infiltrated my body and bloodline core and we have a being as badass as me. This basically destroyed, or at least lessened, the need for mages to fight from a distance. Now I was able to train to fight at close range too. Hehehe... I imagine the faces of my enemies who think I'm useless in hand-to-hand fights only to be crushed by me.

It would be fun!

My skin became slightly porous though, as if instead of dermis I had tiny scales and quite tough and elastic. I also got more beautiful, wonderful stormy blue acquired a sapphire glow that I inherited from dragon queen Tiamat. I felt so empowered and resistant that I almost thought of myself as a dragonborn.

Dad noticed my physical change though and asked about it in one of our conversations.

"Your constitution has changed since I saw you last month." He commented.

"Yes…witch magic has many advantages and the rituals are even better. I have found a very useful ritual that gives me talents of whatever sacrifice I make to the ritual. That's why I asked for Tiamat's scale, as a dragon queen her body must be very powerful." I answered honestly. I didn't understand why the MCs in the stories simply hid certain things from their family members. This ritual was only useful for wizards and muggles however. They wouldn't do demon effects and it only worked for me due to the fact that I'm a hybrid.

"So that was the reason for his insistence on getting this scale. If I knew that I wouldn't have been so reluctant."

"Oh... So when I ask you for new things, I'll let you know why I want it."

"That is not what I said..."

"Already talked. You can't go back!" I say excitedly.

"sigh, what do I do with you?"

Hehehe...

This year I continued my research on foreign runes and started focusing on Japanese kanji. It was hard for a bitch. Even with the ability to understand all languages inherited from my demon side I still had difficulty reading and writing kanji. But that was very good, now I would focus on one side of the research. In a way, learning kanji and Japanese rune style allowed me to get a glimpse of seals. If I were to be honest, this was the best magical writing set I could use for my chains and hence my efforts to learn. Anyway, I tried so hard that I got a visit to Mahoutokoro, Japan and became an exceptional student just to attend classes.
