Chapter 37

“Sorry to keep you waiting. Are you still there?”

“Yes.”

“All right, Mr. Calian. Come in, please.”

“Thank you.”

After that, Calian observed as the main gate slid to the side automatically. He thought he would have to trek all the way into the house, but he was pleasantly surprised when a car was dispatched to fetch him, and it approached him less than a minute after he had strolled along the paved walkway on one side of the estate. The journey to the house took nearly ten minutes. The estate was gigantic for sure. When he got out from the car, an older woman greeted him.

“Mr. Calian, my name is Helen. I’m the housekeeper.”

“Good evening, Ma’am.”

“Mr. Miller is in his office. I’ll lead you there.”
