“Look what Parrish brought.” Philip held up the outfits. “For the twins’ bears.”
“Oh, how sweet! Thank you!”
“You’re welcome.” He looked around. “What did you want me to do?”
“Suppose you take down the rest of the ornaments? Philip and I will put them in their boxes.”
“Okay, works for me.” He reached as high as he could for a quilted ornament, but it was just out of reach.
“Oops. Looks like we’ll need the stepladder, Philip.”
While Philip hurried to get the ladder, Felicia talked about the various ornaments, who had given it to them and in what year. The woman had an amazing memory, which explained why she’d been such an excellent executive secretary.
