Chapter 12

“You two gonna kiss goodbye?” Cory asked us.

“Fuck off,” Pete and I said together. Although Pete did give me a brief goodbye hug before jogging over to his own vehicle.

My happy if slightly embarrassed bubble burst as soon as we got into my flat. Em was back from Blackpool and within minutes she and Cory had retired to her room. Even from the living room, I could hear them going at it. I looked at my mobile phone but knew it was way too soon to call Pete.
