First caressing Luke’s cheeks with his fingers, Henry then cupped his face between his hands and coaxed his gaze to meet his again.
“I love you, too, Luke,” he whispered. Wiped a tear or two from Luke’s face with his thumbs. “Tonight I—”
“Wanted it to be real.”
Henry grinned. “Real. Yes.”
Luke’s brow rested against his. Another smile touched his face, and this time, light radiated from his eyes. They looked at each other with building intensity. It buzzed through the air. Powerful. Electric. The same way it did back at the country club. As if the rest of the world had melted away. Their lips ghosted together.
“Henry…” Luke breathed.
“Yes, Luke?”
His mouth opened a little, but instead of saying anything, Luke leaned in to kiss him again. Again. For no reason other than to kiss. Right there in Henry’s bedroom. Deep and heated, and Henry’s lips parted to invite more of it.
