Chapter 256: QiYing Primary School Ceremony and End of semester

After a merry and noisy lunch at the school's canteen, everyone start being busy with class performances and arts club's performances training. If there are idle people, most probably it is people like Bai Yi Yang who didn't participate in any performances. Even Su Long will be performing with his Music club. Bai Yi Yang is only busy with checking the props again and the rest of the time, she will just wander around to look at other people's training.

For the first time, Bai Yi Yang return home alone. Zhang Ming Ming is training with the Theatre club and Bai Yi Chen is training with the other classmates. Bai Yi Yang feel so lonely at the bus and decided to text Ah Qi. There are people casually asking her if she is not performing and her answer is no.

The reason is simple, she is just not good at it, she cannot dance, her singing is mediocre, her acting should be okay but she generally have stage fright when doing performance. Her classmates told her in shock that she actually have a weakness. Well, yeah, she is also a human being, she can't be good in everything right?

Bai Yi Yang return home alone and Bai Yi Ling ride behind her as they cycle back to their house. Bai Yi Yang didn't do anything other than sorting out the dried mushrooms, she just lie in the living room, then play at the trampoline for a while, look around the vegetables farm then return to cook.

Bai Yi Chen only arrived home almost 7.00 pm. He is holding a big torchlight in his hand, he got it from Old Zhou house since it is dark already at the mountain road. He immediately went to take a shower and they only start having dinner after that.

The exam is over so that night all of them just do what they wanted to do. As for Bai Yi Yang and the kids, they are busy choosing their outfits tomorrow. They will be going to Bai Yi Ling's school so they wanted to dress prettily.

They end up choosing a matching colour outfit of baby blue colour. A smart short sleeve shirt with a knee length cute pants for Bai Yi Mo, this will be paired with a sneaker. As for Bai Yi Fang, it is a stylish dress that is quite popular amongst the children in City Nan, it was a best seller in on of the shop. Bai Yi Fang never wore it outside before.

Bai Yi Yang nicely iron them and put it aside. The three of them will be using school uniforms, Bai Yi Ling will wear formal school uniforms and the twins wear their daily school uniform, the tracksuit set.

The family watch one movie before heading in to sleep, to be honest, everyone is also a bit tired today.

QiYing Primary School, it was the first time in her memory that Bai Yi Yang came here. She knows that this body have been here before but this place is really foreign to her, so she just follow Bai Yi Chen to the main hall.

It wasn't just the two of them from QiYing High School who is here, there are many familiar faces. Well, having a younger siblings in QiYing Primary School is quite common. Maybe half of the students in their class has younger siblings here.

The twins look around and found Zhou Zhu Yao with the two kids. There are also 2 more female students with Bai Yi Ling who is chatting with Zhou Zhu Yao and the rest, should be Song Ah Yu and Liu Yu Qi.

"Hello." Bai Yi Yang call out first. Everyone turn their head and look at them. The two kids wave back excitedly, Bai Yi Fang even ran towards the twins. Bai Yi Chen ends up carrying her.

"Hello, Yi Yang jiejie, Yi Chen gege." The two girls Song Ah Yu and Liu Yu Qi greet them politely. Bai Yi Yang is quite familiar with Song Ah Yu but she only met Liu Yu Qi once, it was during Bai Yi Fang's birthday. That time she don't have the chance to chat with her a lot too.

"Hello, hello. When will your parents be here?" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"My mom is coming later." Song Ah Yu said.

"They won't be, they are busy at work." Liu Yu Qi said. She look a bit sad.

Bai Yi Yang and Zhou Zhu Yao noticed this and they immediately change the topic. After that, they head inside to find seats. The hall is halfway full, they try to get a seat in front as much as possible but they can only sit at the 6th row from in front. As for the students of QiYing Primary School , they have their own section. After a while, Bai Yi Ling also leave to her designated seat.

While waiting for the event to start, Bai Yi Yang greet the people that they know around them and introduce her siblings.

"Your younger brother and sister is so cute." Said Wei Shuang. She is a female senior from the Mathematics Olympiad team and also a debater who compete together with Ruby An before. She and her family coincidentally sat behind the Bai siblings.

"Thank you pretty jiejie." Bai Yi Fang sweetly answer. Wei Shuang fall in love with the cute little girl and immediately continue to chat with Bai Yi Fang, asking her about her age and so on. Don't blame her, Wei Shuang only have a younger brother and he is annoying.

After some period of waiting, the event finally started. The beginning is almost the same, only when it comes to performance and presenting award did it become interesting. The performance started with Grade 1 then Grade 6, back to Grade 2 then Grade 5 and so on. Between the performances, some award are given, it is basically just Top 3 of each grade, then best in Academy awards, best in Extracurricular awards. There are also special awards for some big achievement but this is too general, there are no set of guidelines.

Bai Yi Ling of course got an award, she got 1st place in her grade, Grade 4. In fact, she actually got 2 awards, she also won the Best in Academy award, the Extracurricular awards was won by a boy from Grade 5, his achievement was listed and it really sounds amazing.

After getting 2 awards, Bai Yi Ling's class finally perform, they performed a choir. It was a bit boring compared to other exciting performances from other group and it didn't get as much enthusiasm from the crowd but the Bai siblings still love and enjoyed it. Bai Yi Yang took a lot of pictures, she also took a lot of pictures while Bai Yi Ling received the award.

The events continue and the boy who won the Extracurricular awards get another award, it is a special award for bringing the school name to a national level. He represented the school in Chess competition and won 5th place in primary school category. Have to say, this is a big deal, he didn't won but he must be very good if he made it that far, he deserve a special award. The other two receivers are a girl and a boy, the girl is a very active athlete and the boy won some science competition at national level.

Bai Yi Ling told her about this special award one time and she said that it is her goal to get one of this special award one day. Bai Yi Ling is really impressive in her academic, but other than that she really doesn't have big achievements like these three students. Last time, she joined a Spelling Bee competition and got 5th place amongst inter-school competition. Right, she also joined a speech competition, even though she won, it was only on school level.

Bai Yi Yang think that this is a very good improvement, a person doesn't change immediately, Bai Yi Ling is a quiet and introverted child, her decision to join all these competition that showcase herself to the public shouldn't be easy. Bai Yi Ling is still young, as long as they keep encouraging her, she will be able to realise her dream.

The event ended at 11.00 am. There will be photography sessions, Bai Yi Ling won 2 awards so she is a bit famous, she only got out at 11.15 am. The siblings also wanted to take some photo so they line up at the stairs of the hall and Zhou Zhu Yao took pictures of them. There are also some kind students who helped them took pictures together.

Bai Yi Yang get to work with her camera after her pictures is taken, she took a solo shot of Bai Yi Ling, then with her siblings one by one, with Zhou Zhu Yao and Bai Yi Ling's best friends. Then, she also took pictures of her and her classmates. She basically took a lot of pictures.

Because it is almost lunch time, they decided to have lunch at the school canteen like the other family. Only after that did they return. Bai Yi Ling school has basically ended but she still need to return some textbooks so she didn't follow Zhou Zhu Yao and the two kids back. As for Bai Yi Yang and Bai Yi Chen, they still need to go back to QiYing High School. They all bid goodbye and goes on their way.

That's when Bai Yi Yang remember that she need to go pick up the cheerleading costumes so she ran back to chase Zhou Zhu Yao

"I am free, I can send you." Zhou Zhu Yao said.

"Thanks jie. I will call them and ask them to wait at the gate." Bai Yi Yang quickly catch her breath. She call Fang Xiu Ying and Gu Li Ni and told them to wait at the school gate, as for Su Long, she texted him and said that they got a ride but it won't fit for everyone. This is telling him that he cannot join them to the town.

When they arrived at the gate, Bai Yi Chen get off the car and the two girls together wit Su Long is there.

"Xiu Ying, Li Ni, come in." Bai Yi Yang call out. Su Long don't look too happy but he still come over to say 'hi'.

"That is that Su Long gege." Bai Yi Yang said to her two small siblings. They have been talking to him on phone but they never met before.

"Hi Su Long gege!" Bai Yi Fang is the one who open the window and said 'hi' cheerfully. Su Long who was sulking push behind the unhappiness and smile. What to do ah, it wasn't his fate to go to the town with Bai Yi Yang this time.

"Hello Fang Fang and Xiao Mo. Hello Miss Zhou." Su Long politely greet. Zhou Zhu Yao acknowledged him and smile back.

"Sorry, last minute change of plan." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Compensation." Bai Yi Yang grinned and hand over a bottle of orange juice that she bought from Bai Yi Ling's school canteen.

"It's okay. You all be careful." Su Long nod and accept the drink.

After that, Zhou Zhu Yao drive away as she ask the two girls some info about themselves. The two girls are the polite but quiet type, so it was mostly Zhou Zhu Yao and Bai Yi Yang who chat along the way.

When they arrived in town, they immediately went to pick up the clothes, Bai Yi Yang check it one by one in case there are anything missing, luckily everything is good. They drive away after that, the payment have been settled so they only need to pick it up.

When Zhou Zhu Yao sent the girls back to school, it was already 2.45 pm. Bai Yi Yang had ask for permission from Mr.Ling so the guard will let the three of them in.

"Jie, be careful on the road." Bai Yi Yang said after getting out of the car. Her two younger siblings is asleep, they were quite active on the way to the town but they quickly fall asleep on the way back. Bai Yi Yang feel a bit guilty for dragging the two kids around.

"En. We will wait at home." Zhou Zhu Yao smile lightly. She and the two kids will head straight to the Bai siblings house after this.

"Okay." Bai Yi Yang nod. The three of them then wave goodbye to Zhou Zhu Yao before going on the way.

As expected, the guards let them in easily when they mentioned Mr.Ling. Since Mr.Ling start dating Zhou Zhu Yao, Bai Yi Yang found it much easier to talk with him. This is the benefit of having him as a potential brother-in-law or should she say uncle-in-law?

When they arrived at the academy building, all classes are a big noisy. Many of the classroom that they passed by had arranged their table and chairs to the side, they use the middle of the class as a practice place. Their Class 1 had done that yesterday too.

Teachers are too busy marking students exams paper especially the exam subjects this week, they need to hand in the results and announce the results tomorrow, just imagine the rush. They don't have time to care about the students at this time, they let the students fend by themselves as long as they didn't go too far.

At this time of year, it is common for students to be absent from school, students going around the school during class time, the academic building being noisy and so on. Bai Yi Yang was shocked yesterday, this is her first time seeing a school that allow things like this. Of course this is only allowed because it is the end of the semester. Usually, the school is quite strict.

But, in her previous world, even after the exams ended, students become busy with other things to do, many will head overseas to attend some kind of academy. At most, the class will be more empty but the school never become this unruly.

Bai Yi Yang distributed the costumes to each person according to the sizes that they ordered. The girls happily check their pretty costumes and some even ran straight to the school's bathroom to change. The boys doesn't care much, their costumes are simpler, it has similar patterns and colour as the girls but it is just a pair of long pants and short sleeve shirt.

"Bubble tea." Bai Yi Yang hand over a small bag of bubble tea to Bai Yi Chen. This is called sibling benefit. Of course she also bought one for Su Long to compensate him too but she didn't tell Bai Yi Chen.

"Thanks." Bai Yi Chen accept it and poke a hole into it before letting Bai Yi Yang taste it. Bai Yi Yang often have difficulty choosing one flavour, so he often buy the one that Bai Yi Yang didn't choose and let her taste it first.

"Delicious." Bai Yi Yang said after tasting the drink, Bai Yi Chen can only smile. They stop by the bubble tea shop in town because Bai Yi Fang wanted to, so the three girls also end up buying their own, including Bai Yi Yang who have finished hers during the car ride.

"Anyway. Practice hard. I will go look at the Theatre Club." Bai Yi Yang pat Bai Yi Chen's shoulder after taking a few sips of his drink.

"En." Bai Yi Chen nod.

Bai Yi Yang saw the small change of his expression when she mentioned Theatre Club but she didn't say anything. Well, it is normal for him to act like this, D.D will graduate this year, they may not be able to meet again. But that is Bai Yi Chen's business, she shouldn't say anything. Bai Yi Yang put it behind her head and head to the Theatre Club meeting place.
