Kill Steal 2

He did not care who kills the Leopard as long as he gets the rabbit's beast crystal. He knew he was the only one among them who could actually break the stalemate easily.

Lucas was aggrieved, he understood that Jasper is asking for a beast crystal if he makes move. It does not matter to him whether Lucas can kill the Leopard or not.

'If I cannot kill the Leopard myself and need the help of Roan or Morris then I would have to share the loot.'

'He is obviously giving me an ultimatum. He will kill the rabbit and take its crystal. If either i or Roan accept then he is okay with giving Leopard to one of us.' Lucas thought

He wanted to kill the beast but if he could not do it then the crystal will likely go to others who would kill the already hurt Leopard.

Roan and Morris looked at each other. They seem to be communicating with gestures. This did not go unnoticed from Lucas.

'If I don't accept then they would likely team up to hunt the Leopard' he sighed, he could only choose to trust his strength.

"It's okay, I accept. If you kill the rabbit then its beast crystal is yours. if the rabbit Is at death's door and not able to fight then too, it will be yours." Lucas said quickly before Roan and Morris could decide.

"But if the rabbit is able to fight and hinders my ability to fight then you won't be getting its beast crystal" Lucas added after a second.

"It's fine. I am confident that rabbit would not able to use toxics to attack. But you would have to keep it from escaping and kill it. Of course the Leopard would be damaged by my attack too."

"It would not be difficult for you to kill it after quickly finishing the rabbit." Jasper said

Lucas had no option and reluctantly agreed. Roan and Morris also did not have any opinion on this. They waited patiently for the outcome.

Lucas and Jasper both glanced at each other and nodded. Jasper took out his gun and slowly poured in all his energy.

Lucas was pouring energy into his beast glove. His glove gave off a vibrant blue shine.

After ten seconds of concentration Jasper looked at Lucas before firing and said " Go"

Lucas hearing the command started sprinting toward the Leopard while trying not to get in between the fired shot and the Toxic rabbit.

He was about 15 meters away from the cave where both beasts were fighting, when a fireball of one foot diameter flew past him.

The fireball was a meter away from Lucas but the heat it gave off was surprisingly enough to melt his hair.

The fireball was slightly blue in color. It was very densely concentrated that it gave a feeling of flying solid material instead of fire made of gas.

Lucas suddenly slowed down when he felt his skin scorching because of the fireball, but at that moment the fireball was already a distance away from him.

The fireball was only 10 meter away from the beasts when the Leopard and Toxic rabbit sensed it.

The deeply concentrated fireball was slowly growing in size because of its contact with the air. The moment it reached both beasts, it was already a fireball of one meter diameter.

In two seconds the fireball traveled a distance of 100 meter and landed on both beasts.

When the fireball struck the beasts they quickly tried to escape but did not have enough time to do so.

A blast of one meter huge fireball struck the two intermediate tier beasts and blazed the surrounding ten meter area with vicious fire.

No sound from beasts came, except for the sound of blast made by fire. Lucas reached the area two seconds after it was blazed with fire.

He was astonished by the amount of firepower Jasper could make. It was enough to one hit kill an intermediate tier beast.

However, he did not dare to be careless. He was ready to punch his skill into the beast the moment fire was put out.

After five seconds, the fire dissipated and the results of the blast could be seen. The Leopard was still squirming because of fire on its body but the Toxic rabbit it held was burnt dead.

Lucas did not wait for the Mutant Leopard to show its beastly recovery skill and mercilessly threw his punch on its body.

The Mutant Leopard was already like roasted meat with some skin left here and there. The punch from Lucas tore through its already burnt body.

The Mutant Leopard stopped squirming and no longer moved. It was dead with this attack.

On the other hand Jasper was gasping and with a thud, dropped on the ground. It was very difficult to control all of his energy.

But it was thrice more difficult to concentrate all his energy in one shot while being exhausted.

He was drained of energy and could not even stand properly. Jennie helped him sit on the ground with a worried face.

Jasper stopped gasping and started recuperating.

Roan was amazed to see the results of Jasper's attack. The attack was very cool with it being equally destructive.

"This type of attack can clear a herd of beasts if used correct" Morris said with shining eyes.

Morris found the team members on his first day and created team with tactic understanding. Coincidentally they had cooperative skills which worked well in a team.

They only hunted beasts within their capabilities and divided the loot according to their contribution.

He never knew that Jasper who he thought of as a good close combat fighter could do something grand such as killing an intermediate tier beast from hundred meters away.

Jasper was also very happy to have killed an intermediate tier beast in one shot. He was exhausted but felt very relaxed.

When Roan suddenly joined their team and hunted a beast solo, it had put him under lot of pressure.

He could not show his power and Roan's abilities shadowed him.

This time he could only accomplish this because be wanted to improve, and improve by a big margin.

Earlier he could never fully exhaust himself and make himself vulnerable in front of others, but now he trusted their honest characters.

He dared to take risks now and he did not even fear another beast rushing to them because of the commotion.

Roan and Morris were enough to kill another beast if any arrived.

'It was very difficult but I think I would able to compress it more if i try a dozen more times' Jasper thought of his fireball density.

In Williams family he saw young members of main family very easily control their fire. He wanted to achieve the same level as them and even surpass them.

He had a slight smile on his face because of his accomplishment.

Lucas was still their in front of the beast's body searching for their beast crystals.

He dug out the crystal from the Mutant Leopard quickly and then searched for the Toxic rabbit's beast crystal.

The rabbit's body was very small, it was burnt into an edible meat. He took the rabbit's body and tore it in two from the middle.

A dark green pebble like beast crystal fell off to the ground from the beast's belly.

Lucas picked it up and together with the Leopard's beast crystal he proudly ran back to where others were hiding.

He reached the hiding spot and looked at Roan in his eyes with a smirk, then threw the pebble like beast crystal to Jasper.

Jasper was still recuperating but hearing the movement near him, he opened his eyes.

He saw Lucas running back to them and his hands grabbing one beast crystal each.

He saw Lucas smirking, he also smiled at him and nodded. Lucas threw the Rabbit's beast crystal to him and he naturally catched it with one hand.

He put the beast crystal into a small bag he was carrying and again closed his eyes, continued to recuperate.

Roan saw Lucas look into his eyes and smirk at him. It felt as if Lucas was saying to him " didn't I kill the beast alone and you were discouraging me from picking an easy kill."

From the looks in Lucas's eyes, he felt as if he were a scheming old man trying to cheat a young boy Lucas.

'Does this guy want a beating or what?? Why is he smirking like that to me?' Roan's mouth twitched.

Not only did he lose a free chance to level up but was also made fun of by an idiot.

'No worries, from the sound of explosion many beasts would be attracted. Then I would kill and reach level 10' he tried to console himself

Morris looked at both Lucas and Jasper then said " How about letting me scan the beast crystals to increase our team ranking?"

'Is this guy an insider of academy? Why does he want his ranking to increase that much?' Roan thought

Morris seemed to have guessed what he was thinking then explained. "Those who will rank higher in this group ranking will have a chance to earn a skill from the academy"

He paused and then continued.

"I am not sure what skill but any skill that academy provides to the winner of the rankings would not be shabby"
