Sports Festival: Defend The Hill

Four students came into view running towards the inside of the stadium which housed the flag-covered hill.

All four had different ideas, some just wanted to save gas and acquire a spot, while the other aimed higher.

"YOU DAMN FOX! I'LL GET THAT FLAG AND SMASH THAT THRONE TO BITS!", Bakugo roared as he blasted himself high up into the air aiming for Kaga.

But Kaga decided to trust in her Knight and decided to play around a bit.

"Garuda, mic please!", Kaga said, she removed her throne of ice and switched it with a drum set made out of ice, but it will still do the job.

When Garuda heard his Master's order, he immediately took Midnight's microphone and flew high up in the air, and dropped it exactly within her opened palms.

[WHAT'S THIS!? IS ASAKURA ACTUALLY GOING TO BLESS US WITH A LIVE PERFORMANCE AFTER REJECTING TO PERFORM ANYWHERE ELSE!?]

"Shoto! Remember that song that we came up with but never posted online? Let's sing it, yeah!?", Kaga said looking towards Shoto and clearly ignoring Bakugo.

AN: All credits go to Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix - I'll be changing parts of the song to match it with the sports festival. Essentially the song is like an old guy tell a young person that their time is running out. In here I switched, saying the young generation will switch them out.

Shoto only nodded and moments later Kaga tossed him an electric guitar made out of ice but perfectly strummed, Himiko too was tossed one since she actually practiced with them that time just for one.

When Bakugo neared Kaga, the Knight simply stood in front of Kaga and took the brunt of the attack like the Knight he is.

*BOOM!*

When the smoke cleared it showed that the Knight wasn't even cracked one bit, instead, it stood still while the Knight held the wrist of Bakugo. And like a sack of potatoes, the Knight flung him off to the side, down the mountain.

"Mr. Knight, take the drums will ya?", Kaga instructed to which the Knight did so, and when everything was set Kaga immediately radiated confidence that even if an exploding brat charged at her, her breathing wouldn't change.

"HELLO JAPAN AND TO THE WORLD WATCHING! ARE YOU READY FOR A PERFORMANCE!?", Kaga who had also taken the translator quirk was activating it, so whether she sang in English or any language it will sound natural to them.

"""YEAHHHHH!""", the stadium boomed in excitement.

The other students who were now starting to enter the stadium couldn't help but be confused with the sudden change of everything.

'Wasn't this a fight?', they all thought but their thoughts were answered.

"ALRIGHT, TO ALL YOU STUDENTS WAITING BY THE ENTRANCE! FIGHT TO YOUR HEARTS CONTENT, TARGET ME IF YOU WISH EVEN! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO HIT NOR CHANGE MY BREATHING!"

Kaga's words were a great insult to them, the person on the Golden Flag's platform was boasting that she could perform and fight at the same time, this was either cockiness or confidence.

"Manami, I know you're watching, play Track 52 will you?", as soon as Kaga said that she began counting and when she counted up to three, "Shoto, Himiko, and Mr. Knight, start!", as soon as Kaga said that Manami has played the track and the three people in the stadium all began playing in sync.

*Music*

"You are a brick tied to me that's dragging me down!

Strike a match and I'll burn you to the ground

We are the jack-o-lanterns in July setting fire to the sky

As Kaga said these lines, numerous attacks rained upon where she stood, but all she does is casually dance her way out, making the attacks look like a backdrop.

*Pause*

"Put on your war paint"

Literally, as Kaga said this, she spun around letting her tails swiftly sweep Midoriya and impacting him back to the ground.

*Pause*

"So we can take the world back from a heart attack

One Villain at a time we will take it back"

There are even moments when Himiko used the guitar made of ice to swat away a student that was approaching her.

"You know time crawls on when you're waiting for the song to start

So dance along to the beat of your heart"

When the beat dropped yet again, Kaga grabbed Bakugo from the air during this time and proceeded to waste him by throwing him towards another pack of students fighting for a flag.

"Hey old blood, doesn't it feel like your time is running out?

I'm gonna change you like a remix

Then I'll raise you like a phoenix

Wearing your vintage misery

No, I think it looked a little better on you

When Kaga said these lines, she pointed towards the Heroes who were already old and she could only smirk in laughter.

*Musical Instruments Playing*

"Bring home the green and scrap scrap metal the tanks

Get praised, make a career out of beating thugs"

During this moment, Kaga was laying waste upon a student made out of steel that was hurled towards her by a student with gigantic hands.

"Because the world is just a mess and we are hiding under smiles

"We are here, " says the words we pass"

Kaga even tried imitating All Might's signature smile as she said "We are here"

"So we can take the world back from a heart attack

Shoto was in the process of freezing students that were crawling upon his platform, in hopes to steal his flag.

Some say...to send your message across...it's best to beat it into them, and this was what Kaga's currently doing, punching a persistent Midoriya who wants to take first place in the first round.

As soon as Kaga stopped singing, Mr. Knight smashed Jurota who was in beast form onto his drums, which resounded within the stadium as the finishing bang of the song.

[HAHAHA! THAT WAS AMAZING, FIGHTING AS SHE SANG WITHOUT EVEN A STUTTER, NOW THAT'S TALENT! WHAT DO YOU SAY ERASER?]

[Simply great, that's a Royal for you]

"""YEAHHHHHHH!""", the crowd went nuts as they just saw the performers lay waste onto anyone that even dared go near them, all the while singing and playing on instruments.

A lot of people were wowed when they thought of Kaga playing drums and singing, they thought that Mr. Knight was controlled by Kaga, all the while she sang, which created quite the lasting image of Kaga.

[Alllllllllright! ONE MINUTE LEFT UNTIL ALL 42 FLAGS SHOULD ALREADY HAVE THEIR OWNERS!]

When the students heard that there was only one minute remaining, a lot of students that were trying for the higher levels decided to be contented with the lower leveled flags to be assured a spot for the next round.

Funny enough, no one wanted to approach Momo who had a minigun filled with rubber bullets, yet they dare to go after Kaga, the one who sang an entire song while beating people left and right...without missing a beat.

Midoriya tried for Second place but Shoto simply increased the heat to extreme levels which ultimately started to turn the ground into thick magma, eventually making Midoriya go after the lower levels.

It seems not much wanted to target Himiko since they were able to see her physical strength which scared everyone away, she didn't hold back her strength. Unlike Kaga who control's her attack, no need to be excessive, just the needed amount is good, this is Kaga's motto in fighting.

[STOP! THAT'S IT FOR THE FIRST ROUND!]

[WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST ROUND! WE HAD FIST FIGHTING AND SINGING, TRULY A COMBO!]

Soon enough, Midnight was given back her mic by Garuda who gently handed it to her by using his claws.

"Anyway, the first-round match is over, and here are the results!", Midnight then proceeds to show the results on the giant screen that listed the Top 42 students that will make it into the next round.

The Top 42 was still the same as the original, with both Class 1-A and B having a complete roster, while Mei Hatsume being the only black sheep of the Sports Festival.

"The students here have earned their right to advance, sorry to the kids that were taken early out, but do not lose heart!", Midnight said.

"Now then! Let us spin the wheel to show the next event, even I cannot contain my excitement any longer!", as she said that, the TV's screen began shuffling once again to show what event could suddenly pop out.

"BEHOLD!", Midnight then pointed at the next event that was plastered onto the screen...[Dodge The Balls]!

"Dodge ball?"

"Is this a new event? Haven't seen this in the previous U.A. Sports Festival"

The students all gave their own reactions and comments about their supposed guesses of the next event. Before the chatter could get any louder Midnight cracked her whip to silence the students.

*WHIP!*

"The event will have all 42 Students go against each other by attacking one another by using the rubber balls provided.

You can only attack by using the balls and apply your quirks onto them, this means you cannot directly harm another student.

Once you are tagged by a ball, you are out! If you catch a ball...you get a ball...no extra lives.

You will be wearing a vest that you cannot directly cover, the vest will light up if it made contact with a ball, which signifies that you have been taken out.

You can protect the vest but you cannot overlap it which causes a ball to never be able to land a touch upon it.

Do you students understand?"

Everyone nodded in understand since it houses fairly simple rules, but someone asked a question, "Are there any boundaries?"

"As long as you are within the walls of the inner circle of this stadium, then you are free to go anywhere", Midnight said.

This meant that they cannot go to the audience or the roof of the stadium since some have already tried, which is why U.A. implemented the rule.

"Midnight-sensei, how about the hill?"

"Use it however you see fit, have the high ground, or use it as cover, it is up to you students to decide."

'It seems they left it as is and will probably remove it during the lunch break', Kaga thought.

"Alright, go to the side and get your things, we'll start in a few minutes~!"

During the time when Kaga was singing

"Erina, our cousin seems to be quite the eccentric person, almost like you! Always so confident! And her voice is amazing as well!", Alice said as she listened in on Kaga singing...while also dodging attacks.

"That is true, she is something else, makes me want to know her more", Erina said in curiosity, from what she has seen, Kaga is someone who makes things chaotic fun whenever possible.

"Ayane, I seem to have quite the niece that I have yet to meet, your daughter is extremely talented as well", Mana asked, the mother of the twins, Erina and Alice.

"Indeed, I have only seen her sing on HeroTube and in person, so to see her perform live in front of so many people is something new...and during a fight as well", Ayane said as she watched her daughter's performance.

"Has she tried cooking too? She is your daughter too after all", Mana asked in curiosity, she thinks that Kaga might also be an exceptional cook.

"...haah...it's chaotic in the kitchen with her, she tries mixing too many things! Some are eventually good, but most are horrendously bad", Ayane sighed when she remembered how Kaga cooked...it was chaotic.

Kaga cooked and liked to experiment, which is why she was barred from the kitchen at home since she tends to make a mess...there are times when Kaga would gag at the food that she created.

But their conversation was heard by another, 'Mixing things? She might be similar to Okaa-san who likes to makes the weirdest of items, it will be fun meeting her!' Soma thought and just watched the performance silently.
