220. Cosplay Event

Seeing Saori's gaze, Izumi seemed to immediately understand what was on her mind. Kakashi, Rori, and Tabane's appearances were no different in anime. Well, they are the real characters from the anime after all.

Meanwhile, Izumi was different. He cosplayed as a character from a certain anime. Although his outfit and the swords on his back were similar to the original, his appearance was different with his shoulder-length hair tied in a ponytail.

At that moment, he heard Saori ask Kuroneko.

"Kuroneko, don't you want to introduce them to me?"

Kuroneko turned to Saori and turned back to Izumi and the others.

Rori, Tabane, and Kakashi introduced themselves using their respective names. Kuroneko wanted to slap them because they gave their real name. However, Saori responded without suspecting them. Meanwhile, Izumi still used his own name and Saori didn't suspect that Izumi didn't use the character's name from the anime.

"Wow, you guys really live up to your roles as cosplayers. You guys even resemble the original anime characters. My name is Saori Bajeena, you can call me Saori, nice to meet you."

Just as Izumi thought. Even if Izumi and the others told them their real names, Saori wouldn't be suspicious of them. And instead, she thought positively that they were living their respective anime characters.

Not long after, Saori and Kuroneko took Izumi and the others to leave because the train bound for Tokyo had arrived.

Izumi and the others boarded the train 2 times because the previous train didn't go to their intended location. And the second train they rode was a train to Tokyo Big Sight station.

Arriving at the location, even though the event had not yet started, Tokyo Big Sight was already filled with many visitors and some were already queuing up.

"So many people?"

"Somehow, it feels like the war is going to happen."

It was Kakashi and Rori's first time seeing such a crowd of people. They were amazed. They didn't expect that so many people would be willing to queue accompanied by the scorching sun.

When Saori heard Rori say "war", she smiled and said.

"Of course, Summer Comiket is a huge event that is even recognized around the world. It's no wonder that illustrators, cosplayers, authors, or others think of this as a war."

Kakashi looked around. Lots of cosplayers taking photos of each other. Some people cosplayed as Naruto and Sasuke which caught his attention.

Kuroneko who walked first with Tabane looked behind her back, she saw Kakashi and Rori who were with Saori looking around them. Not only that, but she also saw Izumi who looked less than enthusiastic, so she asked.

"Hey, what are you guys doing? Come on in! Help me to get ready!"

"Kuroneko, buy me some food! I'm hungry."

Hearing Izumi's request, Kuroneko turned to Tabane who said with a shrug.

"I already bought him food earlier. But it seems there is still not enough for him."

"This guy! Since when did he become this spoiled?" Thought Kuroneko in her mind.

She faced Izumi and asked.

"You're still hungry?"

"Yes, buy me some food please!"

Kuroneko pointed towards the east with her index finger as she said.

"It's not far from the sea, why don't you just swallow the seawater? It's free too."

"So cruel."

Paying no heed to Izumi's complaint, Kuroneko took the others into Tokyo Big Sight to set up her stand, leaving Izumi behind.

*Growl*

Izumi immediately held his stomach in embarrassment since the sound was too loud. He swiftly went somewhere to fill his stomach with some food.

Helped by Kakashi, Tabane, and Rori, Kuroneko's stand was set up in no time. Kuroneko already prepared dozens of her doujins which had been piled up on the table.

Kuroneko also didn't forget to ask Rori and Tabane to become salesgirls to attract people's attention so that all her doujins would sell well.

When Izumi had filled his stomach, he went to look for Kuroneko's stand. After he arrived, he could see a long queue as he also saw Tabane and Rori acting as sales girls.

Izumi quietly walked toward Kuroneko's stand. When he looked at the cover of Kuroneko's doujin with a picture of a dark prince or something. He picked one and looked at the contents for a while, then commented.

"Fortunately it's not a BL."

"Why do you think like that?"

"Well, usually when boys like yuri, girls like yaoi."

"Then next year I will make a BL that uses you as the main character model. It would be even better if your role as the main character of yaoi was real."

Izumi shuddered when he heard that.

"Wait wait! Don't be like that, Neko-chan! You're not serious, are you? Can you tell the difference between fiction and reality?"

"I know, I know." Kuroneko answered monotonously.

"Really? Why is your answer less convincing?"

Izumi felt that Kuroneko was serious about making him a model for the main character of a yaoi doujin if she made one. He felt a chill when he thought about it.

Seeing Izumi and Kuroneko's conversation, Saori, who had known Kuroneko for quite a long time, became curious. So she asked Tabane who was beside her.

"They are very close, are they dating?"

Tabane denied it while wiggling her index finger left and right.

"Nai nai nai. Even though he has a decent look, he's not a womanizer. They do look close, but they are not in a relationship."

"Oh, you're pretty sure he's not a womanizer. Do you like him?"

"What do you think?"

Tabane just smiled without giving a clear answer. Meanwhile, Kakashi was approached by someone in a cosplay outfit.

"Hey there. Your cosplay looks so real. Are you planning to participate in the cosplay contest?"

"Cosplay contest? I don't know about that contest though. This is my first time coming here since my friends invited me."

Kakashi was less familiar with a cosplay contest event. However, that sounded interesting, so he decided to participate. There's nothing wrong with trying new things since he's in the modern world.

"Where is the registration? Are you coming too?"

"Hahaha, I'm not cosplaying. I'm just curious, you and all your friends are cosplaying, right? So I thought you would participate in the contest. If you asked about the registration, it's over there! Well then, I'm gonna open my stand, good luck with your contest."

When the man left after getting a photo with Kakashi, Izumi approached Kakashi from behind.

"Who was that, Kakashi-san?"

"I don't know. He just asked if I participated in the cosplay contest or not."

Izumi lit his eyes when he heard the contest. Izumi asked where is the contest location.

"Then, let's go ever there!"

"What about them?"

Kakashi pointed at Kuroneko, Tabane, and Rori.

"Just leave them be! No need to worry since Rori and Tabane was there."

Izumi and Kakashi headed to the location of the contest. He could see the large number of cosplayers that had gathered. They also took photos together.

When cosplayers from the Naruto anime saw Kakashi, they came up to Kakashi and asked him to take a group photo as well.

Izumi who was cosplaying as Kirito saw other characters from the Sword Art Online anime as well. So, he took a couple of photos together.

Izumi could see that the participants in this cosplay contest did not only come from Japan, many also came from China and Korea. Some come from other Asian countries and even from other continents such as Australia and Europe.

The cosplayers from the Naruto anime group invite Kakashi to register. They were so impressed with Kakashi's appearance which was so similar to Kakashi in the anime. Although in fact, he is the real deal, not cosplaying whatsoever.

Not only from the Naruto anime, but there are also cosplayers from some anime such as Gintama, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Date a Live, and others. There are also cosplayers from several games and Vocaloid as well.

Izumi's eyes lit up when he saw people cosplaying as Vocaloid virtual idols. Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Megurine Luka, Gumi, and Meiko. All of them looked so cute, beautiful, and gorgeous. Without thinking, Izumi immediately approached and praised them.

"Hello, girls. Your Vocaloid cosplay really looks good. Your appearances all outperform the virtual characters."

The five girls turned to Izumi who was also seen cosplaying as one of the main characters in the anime. They also praised Izumi's cosplay appearance.

"Hehe, thanks for your compliment. How about we take a photo together?"

"Sure, why not? We wanted to take a photo with you too."

When there's a cosplay event like that, it isn't strange if someone asks for a group photo. So they didn't refuse Izumi's request. They were also happy to take photos with Izumi, who could be said to be quite attractive in terms of appearance. That was also one of the reasons why they didn't reject Izumi.
