Chapter 38

[A/N: For those that have forgotten, it is Stark that the MC was keeping an eye on since he is one of the first major characters of the Marvel Universe, also I know that many of you are worried about my well-being but I will say that I find Writing to be a hobby, and since I soon graduate from my Highschool on the 17th, I would probably lose my writing device for a week or two until my school removes all of its internal blocks and restrictions, so I wanted to give you all a few more chapters before I might go silent for a while, so don't worry, I'm fine]

"That is your legacy, Stark. Your life's work is in the hands of those murderers. Is that how you want to go out? Is this the last act of defiance of the great Tony Stark? Or are you going to do something about it?"

Working deep within a dark cave a man with a glowing chest worked tirelessly as his prison mate's words rung in his head over and over.

One could say that Tony Stark's title 'Merchant Of Death' was completely accurate.

But after Tony Stark was kidnapped and shown exactly what his weapons do in the hands of the enemy...he watched as an entire group of soldiers was decimated before his very eyes, and just before falling unconscious, he watched as one of HIS misles landed next to him, before exploding...

From there he was forced to undergo surgery to save his life and then pose in front of a camera as a hostage.

Then he found that he was being threatened to make more weapons for the 'Ten Rings' and met his doctor and inmate, Ho Yinsen.

Due to Yinsen being the only one that could communicate with their captors, Yinsen was assigned to be Stark's assistant and translator.

Of course, both of them knew that if they did what they asked, they would still be killed by them anyway.

So, Tony came up with an idea, an absurd one, but one that may actually get them out of there and he was just an hour away from finishing...

Little did anyone know, a shimmer of an invisible human figure seemed to be watching over the terrorist compound.

Meanwhile, in the workshop that acted as their prison cell in the cave, Yinsen set up a booby trap on the door that would blow up when someone tried to open it.

Minutes later Yinsen was putting on pieces of a large metal suit on Tony's body.

Suddenly two men started banging on the door and shouting in Hungarian, a language that Yinsen did not know...

"Say something!" Tony whispered loudly as the banging got louder and the sound of shiting footsteps echoed from outside the door.

"I can't! He's speaking Hungarian, I don't speak Hungarian!" Yinsen replied to Stark.

Then both men heard the sound of the door being opened and took cover as an explosion blew away the two terrorists.

Echoing down from the cave the two heard shouting and yelling.

Yinsen then rushed over to an old computer where Tony guided him into pulling up a loading bar that was going slower than expected...

"Make sure the checkpoints are clear before you follow me out, okay?" Stark told Yinsen who was still staring at the computer.

"Okay..." Yinsen replied as he noticed that they didn't have enough time with how slow the loading bar was filling...

"Hey...I'm going to buy you some time..." Yinsen heroically informed Stark...

"Wait!" Shouted Stark as he couldn't move in the suit until the bar was finished.

"Stick to the plan! Stick to the plan!" Stark shouted as he heard Yinsen run out from the room and pick up a gun before firing widely into the air.

Stark continued to yell for him but he was too far to hear him...

As Yinsen chased after several terrorists while widely firing his weapon before freezing upon turning a corner.

Standing before him was a large group of terrorists with all of their guns pointing at him...

Meanwhile deeper in the cave Stark was decimating the terrorists with his suit and soon found Yinsen who was bleeding out from a gunshot wound to his chest.

As Yinsen gives Stark his emotional speech about his family being dead and that Stark should escape without him and leave him behind, an invisible figure was standing in the corner and silently watching the scene before his eyes.

Once Stark left the cave with vengeance in his eyes, Yinsen who was on his last breath passed out from blood loss.

"To think you were able to change one of most notorious arrogant playboy's in this world and change him for good as well, you Ho Yinsen are a man that I am more than willing to save and teach..."

Once the invisible figure stopped speaking, a light covered Yinsen's body and began rapidly healing it.

As the base started blowing up due to Stark's rampage outside, the figure waved his hand and both mysteriously disappeared from the cave...

Meanwhile outside the cave, Tony blew up all of the explosives housed within this base before flying off into the distance, where he then started heading straight for the ground as his suit was falling apart around his body.

Screaming as he fell to the ground, Stark crashed into the sand that made up most of this desert before climbing out of the remains of the metal suit, leaving them behind as he started walking in a random direction.
