Rubbing his temple with a mix of frustration and contemplation, Yves' mind raced as he desperately sought answers to the questions bombarding his thoughts.

He had been trying to gather evidences that people who died before the altered reality never made it back alive.

As far as he understood it, they still died just like in the previous reality, but this time the causes were indeed different. 

Scott Morrison still lost his head in such a gruesome way. He fell into a sewer hole and his head got crushed by a speeding truck.

Robert Arnaud and his whore brother-in-law Ariel died in a sudden ambush. It was said that their corpses looked unsightly when the police discovered them. 

And though it broke his heart that his parents and sister also died in this reality, at least they didn't die in his hands like before.
