The Alpha let out a faint scoff from the other side of the phone. "Do you want an honest answer?"
"As long as it's entertaining," Ryley replied as he put on his Airpods, then took a picture of the bouquet Clyde gave him.
He initially did this because he couldn't find any other topic to talk with Clyde, and that he was feeling so happy right now.
The blond didn't want to overly show his feelings, but he still wanted to hear the man's voice without directly saying it.
Clyde took a deep breath, his gaze went dim for a moment before answering, "Jason is my middle name and Miller is my late mother's family name. That's the story."
Ryley blinked in surprise. He didn't anticipate such an answer, especially the last part.
Now the joyful smile vanished from his handsome face, replaced by a trace of guilt smearing his confused gaze.
