Due to the constant trade between the West and the Bharatiya Empire, the prosperity of the city has also increased geometrically, and its GDP has caught up with first-tier economic cities in the empire like Mumbai, Colombo, Visakhapatnam, Chabahar Bay, Mangaluru, Kochi, and Chennai.
