Butterfinger

The opening ceremony was finally over. Students swarmed out of the auditorium and moved to the Freshmen complex. After the opening ceremony the freshmen could go back to the dorms and relax before reporting to their respective initiation camps. Unlike other schools and campuses where hazing is differentiated into respective departments, AU has a lot-system where students picked lots and get assigned to camps with their respective numbers rather than divided by their departments.

"I hope me and Rin gets into the same camp." Mia said while chatting with a bunch of new friends she made.

"It doesn't matter which camp you get in, whether you are alone or in groups, seniors show no-mercy in hazing camps." Ryan said. The girls gasped while the boy swore ."Dude, at least say good things instead of scaring us" Logan smacked Ryan on his head.

"I hope I don't get tanned." complained Leyla while checking her manicures and retouching her make-up. "I specially got dolled up for College, it would be a waste if it got ruined by all this Hazing crap. "

"Don't worry I have everything prepared. I have the latest products of Kair Beauty." consoled Mia while showing her the products in the phone.

"I heard that Cosmetic line was specially designed for the hazing camps, because the designer had a very bad aftermath during her hazing ceremony." Gossiped Leyla and excitedly started chattering about some beauty products with Mia while Rin walked along with them not understanding a single thing they were talking about. Logan consoled her by patting her shoulders while Ryan nodded sympathetically. 'Her new friends seemed interesting' thought Rin while she smiled at them.

Ryan and Logan Lee were 19 year old Korean Americans but they did not look alike and had completely opposite personality. While one seemed cheerful and flirty, the other had was a pessimistic nerd type. But all in all they were extremely handsome. Ryan was majoring in Business management along with Psychology while Logan's major was IT with Psychology.

Leyla Masud, a typical Middle-east beauty with a gossiping mouth. An elegant and graceful lady with a snippy tongue. She had the characteristics of a typical cheerleader and a Queenbee but she seems like she'll be a goodfriend. She was majoring in Fashion along with Acting. Mia was happy she got a classmate as she was majoring in Fashion with Geography. Rin could totally see Mia and Leyla hitting off while they rated outfits and accessories.

Rin's major was the most diverse, Aeronautics with Psychology. Even though it seemed like it was like the two ends of a stick, it was Rin's choice one was her dream while the other was her hobby. Her new friends seemed baffled when they heard her major choice but Mia waved them off saying 'she is freaking smart' as if it was normal for Rin to do this.

Rin was glad she had two people she knew in her psychology class. As the girls discussed Latest fashion, Rin and the boys started discussing about their courses and potential best restaurants around. Rin though introverted, had a charm to make people comfortable with her quite easily. She stayed quiet and nodded when she agreed and replied when needed. She felt quite comfortable with this bunch even though she was not good at meeting new people.

They decide to meet for Lunch after freshening up and then go the Hall to get their lots. The boys then left for their dorms while the girls moved towards their. Luckily the three girls had their dorms next to each their, all of them choose single suites-the dorms in AU was similar to apartments. Single dorms were like they had the whole apartment room for themselves with bedroom, study room, Living area, Kitchen, Dining areas and separate bathrooms. They also had 2 students sharing apartment, Residential hall with multiple people living in it and also dorms with 6 people sharing them. The living halls in AU was famous for its beautiful and developed architecture. They were completely furnished, students could also renovate or redecorate it, if they wished. Rin and Mia had already customized their renovation plans a few month back and it was completed perfectly. Leyla still had to decorate it, because she couldn't make up her mind.

The girls went into their respective dorms freshened up and relaxed up a bit before leaving for lunch in canteen. The boys were already waiting for them, after ordering their food they sat down in their tables.

"Pray to god that you don't end up in Camp No. 9-The Hades Camp. " advised Ryan. It was said that even though all camps were notorious, The worst of all was The Hades camp as they had some of the most toughest hazing in the world. AU's Hades Camp was compared to military camps. The school authority has long checked every single camps hazing techniques and completely assured the parents that all the camps did not condone violence and only enhanced the students potentials. Hades Camp has produced some of the best graduates AU has ever seen since its formation. All the students that graduated only revealed that 'it was worth it.' Many students couldn't complete the Hades camp program and gave up. But as long as they complete 50% it was considered a success.

"Is it that hard? Maybe people are Exaggerating." Leyla expressed her doubts. "People say that if they could successfully complete the Hades Camp, they could even survive in the fucking Sahara or Mars." Logan said as he had covered news regarding the hazing training from every single resource he could find. He had gone through every single internet page relating to AU's Hazing.

They glanced at each other nervously while hoping they don't get into Hades camp. "Let's hope all the good Karmas you have acquired throughout your life will help you." Logan said while regretting all mistakes he made in past and started repenting while chanting forgiveness prayers.

Rin and the gang made into the Freshmen hall after Lunch. There were a bunch of seniors standing with boxes in their hands. Many freshmen could be seen nervously picking up their lots. The air around had a stifling aura around it.

"Hey, look its the seniors who stood behind us during opening." Mia said excitedly while pointing towards a group of 4 outrageously good looking guys. Rin turned towards where Mia was pointing and suddenly made eye-contact with a guy in Black hoodie, he smirked at her. At that moment Rin suddenly felt breathless and her heart started beating faster. An ominous feeling spread through her mind and she looked away. Mia and Leyla started chattering about the seniors, totally forgetting their previous nervousness and the boys were discussing about some techy thing. Rin could not not suppress the ominous feeling and started to worry. The black hoodie guy's gaze was totally alarming. She felt like it was the Feast before death , presenting them with eye candies before bringing to kill them.

Finally it was their turn to choose the lots, after picking their lots the 5 of them gathered around and opened their lots. "Fuck, its camp No. 5 " yelled Logan jubilantly, followed with shrieks of happiness from Mia and Leyla for getting No.3. Ryan and Rin looked up and their eyes met, while the rest were waiting for them to announce their camps.

"Karma's a Bitch" deadpanned Ryan while holding up his chit. "You are right" muttered Rin while showing her chit paper to them.
