How It Happened - 1

Ruby hated the fact that Seth had asked that she be kept somewhere away from the battle. She didn't like that he thought of her as an egg or something akin to that. Yet, she didn't argue for long about it and had submitted to his orders. She didn't want to be the one to distract Seth from what he was planning to do to the Ziviel soldiers -- not that she knew what it was. She had asked one time, and Seth had told her that she would see what would happen on the battlefield when the time came. Somehow, that brought an unsettling feeling to Ruby's stomach. 

From where Ruby was being protected she heard the voice of a man talking about them coming to take his kingdom away. Ruby thought that he must have his head in the clouds to ever think so.

"Who's that speaking, Anthony?" she asked. "That must be the fool that killed my father..." she said with anger and disgust.
