Negris spoke of "them," not "it," because there was another one.
A disheveled old man floated over, pointing at Red Star and shouting with righteous indignation, "The truth! It's here!" A phantom of a Starburst Array immediately manifested on his shoulder.
Before he could let it rip, another of Grisly's giant legs came stomping down, flattening the scruffy old man as well.
Though in the Bronze Book, these two Heroic Spirits were manifestations, they were so noisy, even louder than Little Angels and Little Zombies. Normally, Negris would separate them onto different pages and then project them out of sight, but every time he opened the Bronze Book, it was bound to erupt into chaos.
The scruffy old man was somewhat better, not attacking Negris, but Red Star didn't care, flashing at anything it saw. And now, even the Soul Fire had been burst by its flashing.
