With a swoosh of his index finger, Noe flings Bodhi out of the hole, flies him across the wasteland, and lands Bodhi straight in front of Txa's feet.
A thickness invades Noe and Daniel's stomachs.
Noe warns, "I'm getting the feeling there's something seriously wrong."
"Of us all, Jinn is the only one vulnerable. There's no way Rosalind and Feng Mian would leave him to fend for himself," Daniel rationalizes, trying to remain sane.
Noe swallows against the tightness in his throat, "Let's find them and make sure."
Hovering them out of the tunnel, Noe swims a circle in the air surrounding the hole.
Noe has spent too much time with the Ephemerals to say he does not care - too much time to say he has not emotionally invested himself in Jinn, Rosalind, and Feng Mian's health. Oh, Omniscient. They better be okay.
"There!" Daniel points to a foreboding pit in the ground.
