Yeonjun's POV

It's been about two weeks since I confessed to Y/N and kissed her. I've been happy. But something was telling me this is wrong.

I was making breakfast and Y/N came and gave me a hug. "Good morning." She smiled. "Good morning." I kissed her head. She went to sit down and I served her the food.

While she ate I kept thinking.

This is wrong.

She'll be safer without me.

She won't get hurt.

I have to sacrifice our love for her sake.

After a bit she finished eating and went to the other room. I washed the dishes and went to her. She sat on the chair and I sat on the floor besides her. I put my head on her lap as she played with my hair.

"Y-Y/N?" I asked. "Yes?" She asked. "I think you should go back home." I said. She looked at me. She hesitantly spoke up. "W-why?" She asked. "Y/N, I know you want a free life, but you it's wrong. You have a Kingdom to rule. Your parents are worried for you." I said.

She kept silent until she spoke up a bit later. "I know. But if I go back, I'll have to get married. And you know I don't want to, and that I love you." She said. I looked up to her "I'm just a villager. And you're a Princess. It sounds wrong." I said.

"But. I don't want a Prince. I want you." She said. Those words broke me. Tears came out of my eyes. I buried my face in her chest and cried. She kissed my head.

"I'll go on condition." She said. "What is it?" I asked. "You are going to take me there and meet my parents." She said.

I didn't want to.

I couldn't.

I'll get killed.

But I know it would make her happy.

"Okay." I nodded. "I'll go get ready." She said. She went upstairs to pack her stuff. I continued crying. I wiped my tears and went to get ready as well.

Soon she came down. "Let's not take the horse. If we walk it'll take us longer, so we can be with each other longer." She said. I pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry." I said. "It's fine. You're right. I can't run from my problems." She said.

We left the house and began to walk. After a while we were only a few feet away from the palace gates. Y/N looked at me with a sad face. She broke down and cried. I pulled her in my arms and cried with her. She looked at me and gave me a kiss. A few moments later I pulled out of the kiss.

We slowly started walking to the gate. "Princess Y/N!" A guard yelled. She took her hand and was about to push me away but Y/N interrupted. "He needs to meet my family." She said. The guard nodded and let us pass.

I took my mask out of my pocket and wore it. "Why are you wearing a mask?" She asked. "O-oh I'm not feeling that well. I don't want them to get sick." I lied. She nodded.

We went inside and went to the throne room. "Y/N!" The Queen yelled as she ran to hug Y/N. Soon the Prince and King joined.

"Oh you are the man I saw aren't you? I thought you said you didn't see Y/N. The King said. "Oh well after you visited I tried looking for her. I found her and convinced her to come back to the palace." I said. "Well thank you. You shall get a reward." He said. "That won't be necessary." I said.

"Take off your mask." The Prince said. "E-excuse me?" I asked.

Nervous

Worried

I didn't take off my mask. He came up to me and took off my mask. They all gasped except Y/N. They looked angry.

"Prince Yeonjun?"
