Chapter 18

Michelle drove to her mom’s house. She quickly got out of the car and ran into the house, rushed to her bedroom and shut the door behind her.

Mrs. Stewart was in the garden reading a book when a maid came to her.

“Ma’am, sorry to interrupt your reading. Miss Stewart just ran into the house in tears.”

Leah was confused. What would have happened to make Michelle come here in tears.

“Thanks for letting me know. You may go now.” She said, dismissing the maid before she hurried into the house in search of her daughter.

She went straight into Michelle’s bedroom when she didn’t find her in the living room. She opened the door and found Michelle on her bed crying. She carefully shut the door and walked towards her daughter.

“Michelle honey, what’s the matter?” she asked, placing her hand on Michelle’s head and gently stroking it.

Michelle lifted her head up from her pillow and engulfed her mom in a hug. Her mom began soothing her, saying sweet words to her.
