In front of Adriel were two creatures that looked like something out of a fairy tale, the kind that adults use to scare children and make them behave.

These beings measured between 1.80 and 1.90 meters, their skin was a completely pure intense green, unlike the goblins that had spots and dirt all over their skin, their bodies were very muscular, extremely defined and strong, large eyes of a brilliant deep violet that stared directly into the soul of their enemies, two large sharp fangs protruding from their mouths, their faces could not be considered pretty in the human sense of beauty, but they were normal appearances.

If it weren't for the green skin, pointy ears, and fangs, they might even pass as normal humans.

They wore full-body armor, made of an unknown metal that emitted a faint grayish light, which Adriel identified as being the essence that he knew escaped from their armor, it was the same effect he had seen on his Aurora sword, albeit much weaker, based on this, it could be deduced that they were armor level 3, maybe 4.

One of them carried a two-handed broadsword made of a completely black metal, which glowed even more brightly than the armor, the other wielded a gray double-sided ax that glowed with the same intensity as the sword.

These creatures did not attack him at the moment of his appearance, they stood guard and slowly surrounded him with their weapons raised and their bodies in position, waiting for the opportunity to launch a surprise attack.

Adriel was also on guard, these beings were fundamentally different from the previous ones, they were many times stronger, to the point where he felt a hint of danger from them, this had not happened with the goblins, these creatures were much stronger than they.

But that was not the main thing, no, the main thing is that they did not attack him at the moment of appearing like the goblins did, these guys are intelligent, surely as intelligent as an average human.

Before a brutal and bloody battle for survival between the three begins, Adriel seized and used inspection on the two humanoid warriors.

They had achieved the next stage of their existence, leaving their cocoon and emerging into a new and improved way of life!

They had become Hobgoblins!

Better in all respects!

This is what the unlimited essence, change and evolution of all objects and forms of life can achieve!

Adriel realized that the Hobgoblin with the ax, who was at his back, suddenly pounced on him with lightning speed!

She quickly turned his body around and narrowly dodged the ax, at the same time, he didn't miss the opportunity.

Injecting a dose of essence into the sword and concentrating it on the tip of the sword, the Aurora sword immediately shone with a bright light, aimed at the head of its attacker and attacked, hoping to kill him with a single blow. But the Hobgoblin reacted quickly, instantly lunged back, at the end, the blade slicing through the root creature's arm. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH !!!!!"

The goblin could not edit letting out a scream due to the tremendous pain he was feeling, the blood was spurting from his severed arm, at this rate, he would soon degrease and by then he could only expect a slow and painful death.

Luckily or unfortunately for him, Adriel wouldn't let that happen, taking advantage of the Hobgoblin's distraction to get closer and cut through the gaps in his armor.

"Boom!" With a reverb sound that rang through the hollow space that was the room. In the same second that he made the cut, Adriel had already pounced on the last one left.

The Hobgoblin with the broadsword was in the process of cutting towards Adriel when the latter appeared before him, before he had time to rectify his movement, a sword plunged into his eye and pierced his skull, piercing his brain and killing him instant.

Seconds later, the body fell to the ground under its own weight.

Looking at the corpse, Adriel took a deep breath and prepared for what was to come.
