Hatsumi Yuki

I kept running.

I don't where I'm headed too as I kept running without looking back.

I kept running even if people can see my whole clear face.

There's this turmoil inside my chest that I can't explain in words.

I stopped and looked at my surroundings, I was still at the public park but I ran off into an area that seems to be abandoned.

I leisurely walked while scanning the area.

There is nothing in here than just trees and some benches, the pathway that I'm currently walking on was unkept or not maintained, that's why I assumed this is an abandoned place.

I decided to follow the pathway while trying to gather my thoughts.

I looked at the scenery of the trees breezing.

Why did I blurt that? I thought that going here would get things better. But, what I got was all mess, my mind was in shambles. I don't know what's happening to me.

As I kept walking, I ended up in a plain grassy area in a place that seems to be abandoned. The grasses are well-kept and maintained. And, there's a glassy dome garden house. I walked towards it.

I'm now at the front door.

Looking at the door, the door doesn't have any lock or any barricade. Then, I opened it.

I saw a mesmerizing view of different kinds of flowers and butterflies flying around.

Then, I continued walking.

I heard a beautiful voice— a female voice.

She's singing, her melodies and voice are perfect. As I continued listening to her peaceful yet melodramatic singing, I continued following the voice.

The way she sings gave me different kinds of emotion mixed like despair yet at the same time joy.

As I continued following the voice, I saw a familiar silver hair girl in the distance.

"What are you doing here?", I asked.

She was sitting in a wooden pergola swing.

The silver-haired girl stopped singing and looked at me, her eyes widen and then revealed a smile. She's wearing a white blouse reaching up to her feet which suits her because it matches her silver hair and she gave off this mysterious noble vibe from her.

"Didn't expect you here.", she said.

"Just who are you, really?", I asked while I narrowed my eyes towards her.

"No greetings? Before that, just come here, sit with me.", she patted the available seat beside her.

The wooden pergola that was she's sitting on was enough for 3 people.

I complied and sat beside her.

"So, can you tell me now, who are you? And, how come you knew me?", I asked her.

Instead of answering, she let her head rest against my shoulders.

I was stunned and at the same time confused.

"Uhh—...", I said but got cut off.

"Please, let me stay like this for a while.", she said.

I'm still baffled at what she did and I did what she said, I stayed.

After a while...

My mind and body felt relaxed and at ease, seeing the beautiful scenery in front of me, the view is magnificent like I'm currently in a place where I could forget all the problems in my life.

I snapped out of it, forgetting that I have a question that needs to be answered.

"Soo...", I glanced at her.

But, as soon I saw her, she fell asleep.

A silver hair beauty that is equivalent to a thousand stars in the starry sky. Her silver eyelashes are long, and then her skin was clear as snow, her lips are like cherry at how red it is. I stared at her lips... She's so defenseless.

Shit... Bad! I need to stop myself..! I thought to myself.

How come she could sleep on the shoulder of a stranger? Wait, she knew me though... But... I don't know her...

"..."

"Haa...", I sighed.

I waited for a few minutes.

As I was waiting, I looked at my phone and saw the time, it was currently 6:42 am. I still got an hour to ready myself for school.

Underneath it, was a call from Naoki. I got my phone muted, that's why I didn't notice the incoming calls from Naoki.

"—!!", my eyes widen when I saw the number of times she called.

I got 20 calls from Naoki.

Then she called again.

I looked at the call with a pained expression.

I don't know how to face her, or what to say to her.

That's why I decided to ignore it and shut my phone.

Then I felt a movement from my shoulder—She woke up.

"Uhh...", I said.

She rubbed her eyes and yawn, and then she glanced at me.

"Oh. I'm sorry, it seems I fell asleep.", she said.

"Ah, no worries. Now, care to tell?", I asked her.

"Alright, I'm Hatsumi Yuki.", she said in a smile.

Hatsumi Yuki? Hatsumi? Why does her family name sound familiar?

"But, just call me Yuki."

"Eh? But, why Hatsu—", I asked but got cut off.

"Yuki.", she glared at me.

"Uhh, okay then Yuki-sa—"

"Yuki.", she glared intensely.

"O-Okay, Yuki, can you now tell me about, how you knew me?", I said.

"So, about your question.", she then looked at me in the eyes, then continued, "I'm pretty sure, you knew that I'm related to it, right?"

My whole body became tense and stiff.

"But, don't worry, I'm only here to protect you.", she gradually moved her finger caressing my cheeks.

My eyes gradually widen at what she said.

Protect? from what? I looked at her bewildered.

"I don't know to what extent you remember. But, seeing your reaction, I could say that. You haven't. This why I'm here, even if fate intervenes in our life once again, I'll even sacrifice myself if needed, for you to shatter the shackles that had been burdening you. I want to let you free."

She then slowly moved her hands towards my face removing the hair and unveiling my eyes to her.

During that time, I can't move my face or body, I only looked at her. But at the same time, I don't feel scared or showing any symptoms, more than that, I felt relaxed all this time. Even when I'm making an eye to eye contact with her.

This feeling...

She's the same with the Ikeda's...

Who is she...?

Those were the only thoughts that are popping inside my head.

We looked at each other's amethyst eyes.

"See? I told you. Just remember to create your own path of fate, our destiny is already interlocked with each other, it's up to you whether you want to create your path for yourself because we will always follow and stay with you, no matter what."

What? Our destiny is interlocked? Create your own path? And most importantly, We? I thought to myself.

She then slowly moved her head towards mine.

Unexpectedly, our lips touched each other.

"Mnnh?!", I exclaimed.

I was shocked by the sudden kiss—It was my first kiss!

With our lips touching, I was losing myself from ecstasy, we continued kissing for a few seconds.

The only thought in my head is how sweet her lips, tasted like cotton candy.

But after a while, I felt a tongue pushing at my front teeth, I responded and opened my mouth, and turning it into a deep kiss. As I was losing my thoughts, our tongues intertwined with each other. Our lips started corresponding with each other as I suck her lips, she will do the same.

I grabbed her waist closer and tightly. And, our eyes met, I saw her eyes are full of lust and pleasure, and I could tell that I'm also the same, as I was losing myself to it.

I don't know what's happening to me, but I'm doing all these things instinctively.

But suddenly, I heard a shout.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH! W-WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING!"

Then, I snapped out.

I stopped and panicky pushed Yuki.

And then, I saw the shocked Naoki standing there. At the same time, I looked at Yuki, who's looking at me lustily with her panting getting rough.

My face flushed red from shamefulness due to the fact that I lost to my inner desires.

I then saw, Naoki running towards us.

"W-WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING! W-W-WHY ARE YOU TWO KISSING?!", Naoki shouted.

"U-u-uuuuhh.", I'm thinking of an excuse but I can't think of anything right now, my mind is in shambles.

Yuki snapped out and replied.

"Of course, that's totally normal!", Yuki said to Naoki while having a triumphant look.

"H-Hatsumi Yuki—!!!!!!!", Naoki said.

She know her?!

Naoki turned her head to me, then hugged me.

"Are you okay? Did she do anything else to you?", Naoki worriedly asked me.

"Eh? Uhh, nothing.", I replied.

I'm confused about what's happening, right now.

She then grabbed my head, forcing me to look into her eyes.

I saw her eyes which is swollen in red.

Did she cry?

Then, her eyes got teary.

"I was so worried, you ran off without letting me say anything."

I looked at her with guilt, and said, "I'm sorry.", in an apologetic tone.

"I don't know what will happen to me if I lost you again."

Lost? So... that's how she feels... I'm a selfish prick... Did we really have a close relationship? The way she looks at me right now, are like how my family looks at me. Like, they're scared of losing me again. I didn't really acknowledge her feelings... I ran and left her there. I didn't even let her talk. I just selfishly ran because I'm scared of what she will say.

"I was so scared, thinking that your situation got worsen... D-did you remember everything?", Naoki said while her voice was shaking.

"Eh? Oh, I-I don't actually. I just knew that you're part of the missing fragments in my memory."

"Eh?! T-Then how?", Naoki said in bewilderment.

"W-Well, you're kind of spilling beans, then I asked my mom yesterday if she could tell me who you really are, but she refuses to tell me, even though she knows that I knew. That's why I concluded that you're somehow part of the incident."

Naoki's face turned red, realizing her mistakes.

"Fufu~ That's my Tatsuya, his deduction skill always amaze me.", Yuki interjected.

"Shut up.", Naoki glared at Yuki.

"B-But, why did you say that earlier?", Naoki said to me.

My eyes widen, then I looked down, and said, "I-I was just wondering if you knew me... W-Why didn't you least visit me in the hospital or when I got home."

Yuki and Naoki looked at me with pained expressions on their faces.

"Because... We can't", Yuki said while gritting her teeth.

"Y-Yeah...", Naoki said in a sad tone.

I looked at them baffled. They can't? But, most importantly, I only said that to Naoki but Yuki responded as well. So, they knew each other, that kind of makes sense since Yuki said about her involvement, earlier.

"Eh? Why?"

"Sorry... We can't tell you.", Naoki said in an apologetic tone.

"A-Ah, I see, my mom said that too."

Why is that thought? Is it really a big deal?

"Y-Yeah, sorry", Yuki apologized.

"I can't really do anything if it endangers myself."

I accepted it. I knew that what my mom did was to protect me, I'm not gonna probe unto that matter anymore.

Naoki then hugged me tighter as her tears are still falling down.

"It's okay, don't worry. I'm here.", Naoki said.

"Don't forget about me", Yuki said.

"Shut up.", Naoki glared at her.

"Uhh, can you release me now?", I asked Naoki.

"Give me a few minutes.", Naoki said begging.

"Okay.", I agreed.

After a while...

She released me and started wiping the tears.

"Uhh, so, let's go?", I asked the two.

But, Naoki's face changed into a fierce one.

"No, let's talk about what happened earlier, with you two kissing.", Naoki glared at Yuki and me.

Cold sweats are forming on my forehead and back. I feel like there's a storm coming.
