The ambulance, sirens wailing, weaved through the streets and stopped at the entrance of South City's First Hospital.

Zhang Zi'ang was lying on the stretcher as it was wheeled out, a ventilator masking his mouth and nose.

"The patient is seventeen years old, with a knife wound to his abdomen, low blood pressure, and significant blood loss!"

"Prepare for surgery immediately!"

Yu Zhouzhou also jumped out of the ambulance, her school jacket and cuffs stained with no small amount of blood. She hurriedly followed at a distance, stopping only when she saw Zhang Zi'ang being pushed into the operating room.

Only realizing the pain belatedly, she grimaced and hissed, bracing against the wall as she lifted her foot.

The sock on her left foot was damp, faint traces of blood seeping out.
