-Following day-

At this moment I was sitting on the edge of the wooden bridge, something I usually did when I wanted time to think or rest, as the breeze and the view were relaxing for me.

And as I relaxed in silence I felt three girls approach, walking across the bridge while talking.

But as their conversation had nothing to do with me I remained in my place enjoying the cold winter wind, that is, until another girl appeared and started walking quickly towards the other three.

This girl was short and wore glasses, and from her uniform I could tell she was a Hufflepuff, just like the other three girls.

However, what caught my attention was not her appearance, but the information she was bringing.

"Hey, did you hear?" she asked, arriving alongside her friends as they continued to walk.

"What?" one of the three girls, the one wearing a yellow scarf, asked.

"Some girls from Hufflepuff and Gryffindor woke up today with their faces wrinkled and completely full of pimples" the Puff girl with glasses said to her friends, "It looks like someone jinxed them, and from what I heard it was a very powerful spell, since not even Madam Pomfrey can cure them"

"Really?" her friend asked in surprise.

"Yes, and it seems that things are so bad that they don't even want to leave their rooms" the Puff with glasses nodded, frowning.

And when their friends heard this, they felt sorry for the girls who were suffering from having their faces destroyed, but at the same time they were grateful that they weren't the victims.

And I, who was watching the four girls walking away, couldn't help but smile mischievously when I heard their conversation.

'That'll teach these girls to never mess with my friends again' I sneered with a cold gleam in my eyes.

I knew I was being petty and that my revenge was a little too cruel, but I didn't care.

My friends and family were the most precious things to me in this world, and I would show no mercy to anyone who decided to harm them.

And because of that, I decided to hit these girls in their weak points, which were their ego and appearance.

Now their faces were ugly, almost deformed, and most likely because of that they wouldn't be able to find a date for the ball.

And even those girls who already have a date will probably be dumped by their partners, as no boy wants to be seen with a girl who looks like she came out of a low-quality horror movie.

And considering all these facts and remembering what the Puff girl said I was sure that these arrogant girls would not attend the ball even if they had a date, as they would be too embarrassed and afraid to show their faces to others.

'They, who were so vain and self-centered, are now isolating themselves in their rooms, ashamed of their own appearance... While Luna, who they were mocking and despising, is going to the ball with a champion'

And thinking about it I snorted, 'Well, I guess that could be considered karma.'

And I would continue reflecting on the repercussions of my revenge, but I felt a familiar presence approaching where I was, coming towards me, which took me out of my thoughts.

"Hi Fleur" I said, without turning to the French girl who was behind me.

And Fleur blinked in surprise, wondering how I knew it was her.

But shaking her head she decided to put that question aside, and with a slight smile on her lips she greeted me back.

"Hi Ethan" she said, before coming and sitting next to me.

And feeling her sit next to me I looked at her.

Fleur was still as beautiful as ever, with flawless skin, bright blue eyes and long, almost silver blonde hair.

She was wearing the standart Beauxbatons uniform, which was a light blue button up classic collared above the knee length dress under a light blue blazer with dark blue trimming on the edges, and on the left pocket of the blazer was embroidered the Beauxbatons emblem.

She also wore dark blue stockings that highlighted her beautiful legs, with light blue shoes.

And even though the uniform was ordinary, it still couldn't hide the captivating and seductive beauty of the Veela beside me.

Realizing that I had been staring at Fleur for too long I looked away, cursing myself for being mesmerized by her appearance.

However, Fleur didn't even notice my gaze, because as soon as she sat down she looked at the landscape in front of her.

I then saw her close her eyes and take a deep breath, before letting out a long sigh and relaxing.

"I'm starting to understand why you like coming here" she commented, realizing that the view of the large forest in front of us, plus the cool wind that passed through our faces brought a calming sensation.

"Oh, I'm happy to know that something from this rudimentary and poor place could enchant the delicate, graceful and rich French champion" I said, looking at Fleur with a playful look.

"Sigh… You'll never let me forget this, will you?" she asked, looking at me.

"Nope" I said, popping the 'P'.

And upon hearing this, Fleur shook her head with an ironic smile.

"But well, I feel like you didn't just come here to look at the sights of Hogwarts, right?" I asked, looking at her with my head tilted in curiosity.

"Can't I just want to talk to my friend and fellow champion?" she asked, and I smiled slightly.

"You can" I nodded, "But like I said, I feel like you didn't come here just for that"

"As perceptive as ever," she said, before looking straight ahead again.

She then fell silent for a moment, and it was obvious that she was seriously thinking about what she would say next.

And that made me very curious.

"You know, the ball is approaching..." was the first thing Fleur said, placing a strand of hair behind her ear, her cheeks slightly flushed.

"Err... Yes" I blinked in confusion.

"And well, the champions are going to have to do the opening dance, and we're both champions, right?" she asked, and I nodded.

'Where is she going with this conversation?' I asked myself.

"Obviously as champions we will need a date to the ball, and I'm sure that like me you must also have a lot of people inviting you to the ball, and I may not know you as well as the other people who are close to you, but I'm sure you must be finding that situation uncomfortable and irritating." she said, nervously fidgeting with her hands that were in her lap.

"And that is a problem for us, since we have to focus on developing our magical abilities and creating plans to pass the next tasks," she continued, speaking quickly, "And with that in mind I came to the conclusion that there is only a way for us to make these people stop bothering us, and that's to get a date to ball"

"And that's why... And that's why I-I..." she stuttered, and I could feel her heart beating rapidly in her chest.

And I was getting more and more confused and curious, and when I leaned towards Fleur to look at her the girl looked away, completely blushing.

And I was surprised, as I had never seen this independent and proud girl acting like this.

"Fleur?" I called out to her, looking at her worriedly.

And when Fleur heard me call her, she was startled, stopping talking, but when her eyes met mine she quickly looked down, fidgeting with the hem of her dress nervously.

However, after a few seconds of silence passed, Fleur took a deep breath, before raising her head with a determined gleam appearing in her eyes.

'Come on, you're Fleur Isabelle Delacour... There's nothing you can't do' she said to herself mentally.

And now, with her courage restored and a new determination she turned to look at me.

"And that's why I wanted to ask you… Do you want to go to the ball with me?" she asked.

"Huh..." was the only thing I could say as I looked at Fleur in shock.

'I wasn't expecting that' I thought.

And while I was silent Fleur looked at me expectantly, and I could sense that she was nervous and scared, but also hopeful and optimistic.

'The situation just got weird' I thought, but seeing Fleur staring at me I knew I had to answer her.

"Sigh... sorry Fleur, but I'm already going to the ball with someone" I said, scratching the back of my neck as I looked at her apologetically.

"Oh…" Fleur said, and I could feel the disappointment and sadness coming from her.

"Looks like I'm late then" she said with a sad smile.

And I didn't like seeing that sad look on Fleur's face, but I didn't know what to say to console and cheer her up.

However, I didn't need to do or say anything, because when Fleur raised her head to look at me again I could see that the sparkle in her eyes hadn't disappeared.

"Well, I may have been late to be your date, but I want you to promise me that you will save a dance for me" Fleur said with a small smile.

"I promise," I nodded, smiling softly at her.

And my answer seemed to satisfy her, and even though I could still feel feelings of sadness coming from her it was very weak, and that made me feel relieved.

'Yeah, a sad look doesn't suit her, I prefer to see her with a smile on her face' I thought, looking softly at Fleur smiling next to me.

End.
