Chapter 106 : Let's make a deal.

The past two days had been hectic for Nectar and now she lugged herself out of bed in the middle of the night to go to Drunkard's Palace. She wore a loose white shirt and shorts.

She wasn't planning on spending much time there, just to buy a lot of beer before she left tomorrow. She matched it with black knee length boots and a black cloak, showing off very little skin.

Stretching slightly, she took a deep breath and disappeared. When she opened her eyes again, her senses were overwhelmed with the familiar environment and she smiled.

She walked casually to the counter and saw Wheat serving beer as usual. " How you doing Wheat "? Wheat turned to her and frowned, pointing his ladle at her " You still have the gall to show up here "?

Nectar laughed as she brought out her coin sac, " You're right. I'll just be leaving with my money ". Wheat beckoned for her to come back and she did with a playful smile, " Yes wheat? You called ".

Wheat cleared his throat and pointed at an empty seat, " Take a seat, I'll be right back with your beer ". Nectar happily took her seat and looked around some more. She rested her head on her palm which was being supported by her elbow on the counter and drew imaginary circles on the counter.

" I feel like I'm being watched though ", Nectar quickly shook off the thought as Wheat appeared with her order. She didn't even notice the two men walking towards her from either direction.

Luscious had been convinced Nectar would come today but Axis would hear none of it. It made sense to him that she came today but Axis refused to come with him.

And he would have being right too but just as he was about to leave, Nectar appeared. Now he was certain she was the empress and he had to admit, she still looked good.

At first he wanted to observe her but she wasn't doing anything suspicious, just ordering some beer. Luscious pushed through the crowd as he tried to reach her before she disappeared again.

But when he finally reached her seat, it was empty. He looked around and saw a wisp of white hair disappear behind a back door. Luscious smiled to himself as he walked towards the door, " I've got you this time " and turned into a mouse, entering the room.

Nectar was sure two people were walking towards her. She didn't know their intentions so she couldn't really attack for no reason. Which is why she was surprised when someone suddenly pulled her away.

She felt no ill intention so she went along with it. She was taken into a dimly lit room and she frowned instantly when she recognized who was sitting in the chair opposite her, " It's you again ".

He smiled widely and got up, " Nice to meet you again Red ". Nectar sighed as she stood her ground, " Whatever this is about, I don't care. Can I leave now "? The man laughed, " How can I let you go like that "?

Nectar sighed as she shrugged, " You already lost the fight. Do you really want to embarrass yourself again "? That seemed to have struck a nerve and it did. He made shadow needles behind his back.

Nectar sighed as she instantly made her bow and shot an arrow at the hand that was aiming for her, " Do not ruin my good mood. What do you want "? The man laughed, " You really don't joke around Red but I'm not playing either ".

Nectar snapped her fingers and the arrow and bow disappeared instantly, " I'm listening. But anymore funny business and I'll drown you ". He nodded and walked towards her, " First let me introduce myself, I'm Richard Shorlif ".

Nectar was shocked and mumbled to herself, " He isn't dead yet "? But she quickly got over it and punched him in the gut, " That's for being related to that bastard emperor ".

Rick looked up at her and laughed despite the pain, " I see you hate him as well ". Nectar laughed, " More than you can imagine. What do you want "? Rick nodded, standing straight " To make a deal with you ".

Nectar shrugged, " Alright ". Rick blinked a few times, " Really? Just like that "? Nectar nodded, " Yeah, we both hate him and I've got nothing better to do ". Rick cleared his throat, gaining his composure " Alright, but I have only one condition. I take the throne ".

Nectar nodded mildly, " You can have it, sounds like work to me. But I have a condition as well ". Rick nodded, " If it's within my power, I'll help you ". Nectar laughed mildly, her eyes glowing slightly " I want to be the one who kills him ".
