Chapter 86 : I don't remember how to dance!!!

Nectar knew someone was eavesdropping on her conversation with Liam but she wasn't sure who. She thought it was one of the noble women but it turned out to be Prince Luscious.

He'd been dragged away by her sister and she couldn't help but laugh [ She can't stand the fact that everyone's got their eyes on me...To be fair, I am amazing ] The second round of dancing was about to begin and she'd rather watch since she'd actually forgotten the Crepta style of dance.

Though it was similar to other dances, there were a lot of hand and feet movements that happened quickly although the pace appeared to be slow. Nectar was almost off the dance floor when she saw Eros.Athena was already dancing and she had a sinking feeling he was looking for her [ A dance with the devil himself, where can I possibly hide? ]

Nectar bumped into someone and smiled [ He's getting closer ] " Would you like to dance "? Nectar wasn't really asking as she put her hand on his shoulder and turned. Eros passed by and she heaved a sigh of relief.

" Why are you avoiding him "? Nectar looked up, it was the man from earlier, " Oh! It's you ". Kancor only nodded, " I think you should let go now ". Nectar nodded in agreement but the music had gotten slower and they couldn't leave the dance floor [ I should have stayed home, slept with all my cute little kiddies...But no, I had to be greedy for appetizers ]

" Your majesty "? Nectar looked up and smiled, " Sorry about that, do you think it'd be odd if we just left ". Kancor shook his head lightly, placing his hand in her waist " As long as you can dance "? Nectar could only smile as she panicked internally [ I can't embarrass a foreign envoy. What do I do? ]

Nectar forced herself to calm down as they held hands " So you don't know how to dance ". Kancor shook his head and Nectar sighed, " Then we'll just have to make one up ". Kancor seemed like he'd rather take his chances and walk away but Nectar looked so serious.

She took a step back making him take one forward and back again [ I think that's how to waltz...I should have paid more attention when Conrad was teaching me ] Forcing herself to calm down, she looked at their feet " Alright, we should be able to do this ".

Kancor frowned slightly as he nodded [ I don't think she's right in the head ] And Nectar moved sideways making him follow " And one two three, four five six.... ". Kancor felt it was ridiculous but apparently he could move easily with her.

Nectar looked up at him and smiled with relief " I didn't think that would work, you're a really fast learner ". Kancor nodded, leaning closer " And you're quite odd, even running away from your emperor ". Nectar pouted slightly, " Was it that obvious "?

Kancor nodded, " You're not very subtle ". Nectar rolled her eyes " You seem as boring as a rock yourself ". Kancor chuckled, taking control as they glided across the dance floor " That's not true. I just have a little amnesia is all ".

Nectar shook her head, " Tsk tsk....I call it excuses ". Kancor smirked, " I can be interesting ". Nectar raised an eyebrow, letting her long coat move behind her " Name one thing ". Kancor shook his head from side to side slightly when he suddenly opened his eyes " I do write some stories ".

Nectar nodded, " Yeah, I was gonna ask you about that ". Kancor nodded, " Maybe another time then your highness ". Nectar laughed lightly, " You don't have to call me that. Makes me want to gag sometimes ". Kancor raised an eyebrow, " And why not "?

Nectar raised her nose, " Because I won't use titles on you, I feel it'd only feed your ego ". Kancor laughed, " It does sound nice sometimes, doesn't it ".

Nectar shook her head, as she let one hand go and spread out " Don't try and change my mind ". Rolling back in, she smiled " Since you're called Kancor, I'll just call you KC ". Kancor frowned slightly as he let go again [ That sounds familiar ]

" I'll call you oddball or Noobie to cover you're shame ". Rolling back into his arms, Nectar blinked a few times [ Conrad used to call me that....I'm other thinking, yeah that's it ] They were both so lost in thought that they didn't realize the rest of the dancers were staring at them.

Nectar smiled, twirling out of his embrace and curtseyed " Till next time KC, I hope to read one of your stories as well ". Kancor nodded, bowing back and smirked " And try to be more subtle Noobie, We'll dance another time ".

With that, they walked in opposite sides of the dance floor while people murmured. Nectar heaved a sigh of relief as she got off the floor but Reli and Nosa appeared soon after, " You dance so well Sister Empress ". Nosa nodded in agreement, " You basically flew on the dance floor Big Sister Nectar ".

Nectar laughed nervously when she felt someone grab her waist. She could feel the color drain from her face due to the coldness in his words " My empress is just full of surprises, isn't she "? Nectar's smile stiffened as she tried to pull Eros' hands off her waist " I'm flattered your majesty ", but his grip only became tighter.

He smiled slightly, speaking close to her ear " If I could borrow the little dancer for a bit ". Reli hesitated slightly but the pleading expression in her eyes was successfully understood as a plea for help [ I must get Brother Liam immediately ] She smiled, curtseyed and walked away, dragging Nosa with her " Of course, please excuse us ".

" You don't seem very comfortable Nectar ", she frowned as she clawed at his arm " We've already discussed this your majesty and I already told you not to call me that, we're not that close and I don't know what you mean ".

Eros sighed, letting he go " Do you find me that unapproachable "? Nectar nearly dug her ears, now she knew she was going deaf [ What's gotten into him tonight? ] " I do not understand this question as well your highness. ".

Eros sighed and Nectar felt he was going to say something that would seal her fate tonight but luckily Athena came out from nowhere [ You really are my sunshine ] Pulling Athena over, she pushed her towards Eros " His majesty doesn't seem to be feeling well, you should take care of him ".

Athena was a bit dazed while Eros frowned slightly as Nectar disappeared quickly into the crowd thinking the same thing [ That was unexpected ]
