The night seems to be very long as I sat on the side while closing my eyes. Ever since I started absorbing the energy in my surroundings, I did not stop and continue doing it even though my Qi is not increasing.

Meanwhile, I did not stop observing the woman who is weakly lying on the side. She had already eaten the meat I gave her and the two of us are resting opposite side each other.

Her eyes did not leave the fire in the middle as it shows curiosity and befuddlement in them.

I could not blame her if I did not learn about Qi; I too would be bewildered by the mysterious burning fire after all the firewood has already turned into ashes.

After a long while, she shifted her gaze towards me, and then with a quivering tone, she seems to have mastered all of her courage and strength to say.

"Thank you… and… I'm sorry." She said then she shifted her body away and faced the wall.

I smiled upon hearing that. I didn't know why she came here or why she is acting like that. But I could tell that it might have a relation to the condition of her body, in particular, is her brain.

I have checked her body and condition and found that her brain could not contain the strength of her ability. The more she uses her brain the more she would suffer. The strain it could take is not that much and it is slowly killing her.

Nothing can be said as we don't owe each other anything. In fact, she owes me one as I have actually helped her open up the nodes in her brain so that she would be able to use the Qi in the air. This way, the energy strain of her power would not affect her body anymore.

I have already decided to leave this place in the morning and go to City H.

My revenge is at hand and I have a lot of things to take care of.

At around 2 a.m., I woke up and left the cave. I didn't want to bother with the woman and followed my plan. I easily jump down the cliff and before I landed on the ground, I used my Qi to lighten my fall. After I landed, I darted towards the shadows of the trees.

I soon arrive near a dilapidated house in a suburb of the city. From the shadows, I slowly crept and noticed that this suburban area looks rundown.

However, I could see that this place was once a place where many people lived and from the structures of the homes in this area, I could tell that most people who lived here before were rich.

However, right now, this place is an abandoned area of the city. The houses are already in ruins and everything is in a mess. But I could still sense that people are living in these houses.

As I look around and traverse the area in the shadow of the darkness around me, I soon saw a group of people gathered in the middle of a ruined playground.

The people in that place were a bit loud and I could hear them laughing lewdly.

Suddenly, I stopped as I heard a moaning sound coming from that place. I did not want to see such a thing so I decided to leave. However, I soon heard the voice of some women.

"No! Please let us go! Please!" one of them cried.

"Haha… You bitches dare to offend Master Lin Ting, so this is your punishment. Hahaha… We will be riding you three like crazy until we get our fill…" shouted a man in a hoarse voice.

"No… Don't come near me!" shouted one of the women.

"Haha… I can't hold it anymore. Boss, can I have this one?" the man said while pointing at the woman who was begging.

"Umph… Ah… Damn, this chick is tight…" A deep voice grunted as he seems to release something.

"Do not touch any of them… It will kill anyone who touches them. You can have this one, I'm finished with her…" the man with a deep voice said.

I could not help myself as I soon appear on top of the roof while looking at those people in the park. I can see some burn barrels around the small park. Then I could see five men and three women with tattered clothing.

One of the women is currently naked while lying lifeless on the ground. I then noticed the four men closing toward her while rubbing their hands as if they could not wait to taste a piece of delicious meat. The big man which I think is their leader walks towards a broken-down couch and slumps his body on it.

He looks at the two trembling women who are sitting helplessly on the ground.

He sneered at the two then suddenly pointed at the woman with the black hair.

"I bet you're still a virgin, right? Hehe… I haven't tasted a virgin before… You will be next after I rested." He said as he takes out a bottle of pill inside his pocket.

He takes out two capsules and pops them in his mouth.

The woman whom he pointed at showed fear in her eyes as her body began trembling in fear. How could she not be afraid? She saw how that monster ravages her coworker, and now she is seeing four other guys are going to rape her coworker. She is now afraid that the same fate would happen to her.

I could clearly read what the woman is thinking while looking at her expression.

I could not watch this anymore, so I tore off some of the nails on the side of the roof. Then looking at those four people that are about to lay their hands on the helpless woman on the ground, I began throwing the four nails rapidly towards them.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Four thudding sounds could be heard which made the large man turn his sight in the direction of his men. He suddenly jumps out of the broken couch and scanned his surroundings.

I could see that the big guy is scared, so I decided to play with him to instill more fear in his heart before I kill him.

Although I'm still not that comfortable with killing, my hands are not that clean anymore. I have already killed many people, and I know that I will kill more before my revenge is over.

The big man suddenly ran towards a motorcycle and suddenly grabs a handgun from its side bag.

"Come out! Who are you?" he shouted as he looks around the darkness.

He suddenly pointed his gun all over the place and wanted to fire a shot. I could tell that he is feeling a bit desperate at this moment and is already in a panic.

Suddenly his eyes landed on the two women and began moving towards them. But before he could approach the two women who suddenly screamed as they knew this big guy is now aiming at them, a long and a bit rusty rebar flew in the air and landed on his foot as he steps forward.

Arrgghh!!!

The big man howled in pain as he suddenly fell to the ground. Then something flew and hit his hand which is holding the handgun. The man once again howled in pain as his foot and his right hand both are now wounded.

"Come out! Who are you? How dare you attack me? Do you know who I am?" he shouted while looking at the darkness.

"I am one of Master Lin Ting's men. If you touch me, Master Lin Ting would not forgive you! He will kill you and your family!" the big guy shouted his threat.

But no one answered him and only the rustling of the trees could be heard in the quiet playground.

In the darkness, my hands are already trembling as my emotion was stirred up.

"Lin Ting… That guy… I must kill that guy…" I muttered to myself as I look at the big man on the ground looking through the darkness with fear in his eyes.

I suddenly noticed that the atmosphere is changing.

"The sun is about to rise two hours from now…" I thought.

I saw the big man slowly crawling up and when he could stand up, he walks while limping towards his parked motorcycle.

Suddenly from the shadows, I appear in front of him like a phantom. And before he could say anything, the rebar in my hand stabbed upwards entering his lower jaw and appearing on top of his large head.

After killing the guy I look around and saw the two women looking at me with fear in their eyes.

"Take your friend and leave this place… it is not safe for you to be here." I said as I turn around and was about to leave.

"Wait… Please wait…" the black-haired woman said as she quickly stood up.

"Help us… We… we can't return to the city anymore. No matter what, we will still die… Please, sir, help us…" she said with a pleading tone.

I look at them and saw their tattered clothing and their ruined make-up. From what I could tell, these women seem to be office workers.

I hesitated for a minute, but I could not turn away from my true nature.

The two expectant women just look at me as I pass by them. I squatted on the ground and checked the naked woman's vital sign.

I could tell that she is only in a state of shock and over fatigue. I slowly lifted her up and carried her with me.

"Follow…" I just said as I left the place.
