Roasted fishes

"Shizun," Fu Jie cleared his throat as he called out to the man, "Thank you for saving me." 

Xiao Jingyi sighed, "No need to thank me for something like that." 

"Really?" Fu Jie nodded with a playful frown as he replied, "Then I won't thank you the next time." 

"..." 

"By the way, what was that in your hand?" Fu Jie tried to sound as casual as possible when he asked this question. 

It was only for a second but he was sure that he had seen something that looked as if he recognized it and yet, at the same time, since he had only read about it, he was unsure if he was right or if his eyes had played tricks on him. 

"Hmm?" Xiao Jingyi turned around to face Fu Jie and opened his mouth to give an answer, however, before the words could roll out, they were interrupted by another familiarly annoying voice.
