Chapter X: Discoveries

Aiden was shocked after reading that letter, because there was much he didn't know and things to discover, his mother seeing his face so shocked asked him who had sent the letter, Aiden had to tell her that it was a joke of Lenz and that he was going to return it. The young man decided to go this time on his bike to the high school, he passed by the park and stayed watching how they were taking out Mr. Graham's body, he felt nostalgic at that moment as when his father had died and suddenly the memory of when he was 6 years old came to him and he went to his grandfather, where the young man told him that he wanted to be a great adventurer and meet great inventors like him, between laughs the grandfather told him: -It's good to have dreams, my dear Aiden, but whatever yours are, you must always remember one thing: "See the world with the eyes of your heart, not with those of your mind". The young man moved on, but wondered why he felt as if he had known Mr. Graham since long before he came to town.

-let's see... what we have here... this says that the Ikaru is a very ancient and sacred species of owl, bearer of all knowledge... the history of this sacred bird goes back more than 500 years, it is said that there was a tribe that fell to the edge of ruin they did not have to eat and they were less and less, until one day the chief of the tribe managed to see this majestic and rare bird in his eyes, (they were big and bright blue eyes), giving him great knowledge, with which the chief managed to get his tribe ahead, after having given him such knowledge the bird disappeared ... and every so often you could see the creature furrowing the skies, watching the carrier to do good. This did not last long and the chief became corrupt, using that knowledge to make wars, for the destruction of people and ecosystems, he already felt powerful but the bird that prowled from time to time, seeing that his knowledge was being used for evil took the soul of the chief. Since then this creature has chosen from generation to generation a person to whom to give what the tribe baptized as sacred wisdom, that is why it has been venerated by some tribes as the sacred owl.

Hobson was all scared, even babbling; Madysin was going to the bathroom but had forgotten his science book in the library and when he was on his way back he saw the young people, telling Ezekiel:

-When he let go, the young woman slapped him and continued to say, "I can't believe you've fallen so low, picking on my friends... I didn't know how to tell you this, but I see you've found the perfect motive. We're done! Ezekiel aggressively grabbed Madysin's hand and said:

-Hobson, seeing his friend in that situation, he took courage and said: "She doesn't love you, and much less people like you, bullies and conceited, you mess with us, the loser is not Aiden but your Ezekiel, so leave her alone.

Ezekiel releases Madysin and they both leave, annoyed the young man kicks the lockers cursing Aiden. On the other hand, Aiden and the others were in the park behind some bushes looking towards the library, you could see that there were many guards and the young people didn't know what to do to get into what Emma sees Adyson sitting outside a store she approaches with the others, she notices that the fashion sketch she had seen was torn and tells her:

-Adyson, what happened to your sketch? -Who did that to you?

-no... it was no one, I was looking for a leaf and I accidentally tore it up- Aiden takes the torn sketch and says:

They had to bring my father into this... please forgive me father I didn't want to do this; Once inside, Lenz stayed watching the entrance in case the guards came while Emma and Aiden went to Mr. Graham's room, they started looking for the chest and suddenly the young man felt as if something was talking to him and was telling him to check behind the bedside table, the two of them dragged it and checked the drawers inside but nothing, again Aiden heard the voices, The young man looked at it but didn't understand it until he hit it a few times and realized that it was hollow. Looking more closely, he saw a small crack and introducing a screwdriver that was there, he managed to remove it and there it was, a chest but this one was strange, it was as big as a science book and didn't have a lock, not even one with the shape of the necklace, it was very strange; Suddenly Lenz went upstairs and told them that one of the guards saw them and they were coming here.

The young people were desperate because they couldn't get out the way they came in, but Aiden remembered the entrance and decided to go that way. In the rush, the young man went up the hill just as Lenz was passing by, and his uniform jacket got stuck. The young men pulled Lenz out, but in the attempt the jacket was torn, leaving a piece on the other side. One of the guards managed to get that piece out and immediately contacted Mayor Palk saying: -we have something sir... we already know where the guard is coming from- amidst malicious laughter Palk says: -this is perfect, I will have to make some unexpected visits-.
