The following morning, Gu Chaoyan rose at dawn. Tian Qi had already arrived at the Yan Mansion, ready to escort Yan Danqiu into the city. Tian Qi, primarily responsible for driving the carriage, awaited the departure.

Accompanying Gu Chaoyan this time were Zhixia, Tian Liu, and Yan Dandong. Gu Chaoyan had made a promise to bring the youngest Dandong along on this wagon journey.
