Chapter 12: And Man

Night fell on Rivella, and Jorael was still invisible due to his spell, standing in front of madam Francine's villa to think and watch any strange movements. While surveilling the mansion, he was thinking:

"ugh... I didn't even ask how does the cat Pancelot looks...

I was too annoyed by that fat old woman and her stupid thoughts on slaves...

But she may be right suspecting on Yolin, as she could be moved by revenge and killed the cat or made him disappear.

Yolin... why did she walked oddly and in pain?

Did her owner tortured her? the old-fashioned way?...

Uhm..."

Hours passed and it was late night and no one was walking on the sleeping city's streets. Suddenly, the villa's door slowly opened, and a hooded figure left furtively the mansion.

"What?!" thought Jorael as he started carefully following the hooded person.

The secretive figure reached a dead-end alley, to disappear in a hole in the ground.

"Into the sewer?!" thought Jorael as he followed the person down into the hole.

"ugh… this stench…" whispered the Traveler as he reached the sewer floor, forced to smell the city sewage.

He continued following the hooded figure through many tunnels, and lastly, he arrived at an intersection where the person stopped.

"I-I'm here…" whispered the hooded figure while unraveling the hood. She was a familiar face to the Traveler, Yolin.

As Jorael slowly came closer to the intersection he could hear a deep male voice:

"Honey, it's dangerous coming here, we need to settle things first…"

The Traveler entered the sewer intersection stealthily covered by his invisible spell and to his surprise, there were three people including Yolin. There was a tall and muscled male Demon with big bull horns on his head. Besides Yolin there was another female from Beastman Demon Clan. She was taller and more prosperous than her, and she had light blue cat ears and tail. The two other Demons both did not have slave collars.

The unknown woman started talking:

"Yolin… where's my sister Koren?...

Now it's been a while since we came here in this hell to save the both of you, but there are no traces of my dear sister!

Why don't you talk?"

"…"

Suddenly, a cat started meowing.

"Pancelot!" shouted Yolin happily going to see the cat closed in a cage in a corner of the intersection.

"Forget about the cat you brought here without explanation and answer me!" yelled the woman at Yolin.

"I miss him… I brought him here because I want Madam to suffer… but he's a good boy!" said the little Demon.

The male Demon sighed and then started talking:

"Kiran, forget it! We have to kill the old hag and freed both your sister and my loved one…"

"Yeah, I get it. These people will make a mess. I should introduce myself..." thought Jorael while he turned back visible and then he started talking:

"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I need to make things clear…"

"W-who are you?!" yelled the bull-horned Demon taking an attacking stance.

"S-sir Jorael?!" shouted Yolin surprised.

"You know him?!" asked the light blue eared Demon woman.

"Y-yes… he's an adventurer and he's trying to bring back Pancelot to Madam…" replied Yolin.

"You and your damned cat!" shouted the Demon woman.

"Easy, fellows Demons. I'm not here to cause any harm to you…" confidently said Jorael.

"Fellows?!" yelled the Demon man in distrust.

"While it not maybe certain judging from looking at me, I'm a Demon as you…" explained the Traveler.

"W-what?!... I don't believe you, Human!

It must be some of your cheap tricks!" screamed the Demon woman.

"No… Sir Jorael is a nice person…" whispered Yolin quietly.

"You can come here and check my horns on my head. Or my wings on my back. Or my tail…" said Jorael.

"If this was the case, at your age they should be big enough for us to see them well standing from where we are!" shouted aggressively the Demon man.

Yolin suddenly came close to Jorael while he was kneeling.

"No Honey! Stop!" screamed the Demon man in fear.

The little Demon girl arrived and touched Jorael's head to find under his thick long dark brown hair a pair of shiny little black horns.

"I-It's true!" yelled Yolin in disbelief.

"How is possible that a Demon is living here in the Human Empire as an adventurer?!" asked the Demon woman with incredulity.

"Uh, well it's not like I'm living here… to be honest, it's just a few days I'm here in the Human Empire…eh eh…" said Jorael while laughing.

"So, fellow Demon… I'm Elkann of Minos Demon clan, and she's Kiran of Beastman Demon Clan. Who are you and what do you want?" asked the Demon man now relaxed.

"I'm Jorael, a Succubus. I want to know the truth behind the Noblewoman owner of that cat." Replied the Traveler.

"A-a S-Succubus?!" yelled in shock Kiran.

"I thought your Clan was long gone…" said Elkann.

"Well, I'm the only one that I know of… so what you just said might be true." Said Jorael.

"Even if he's a Succubus I can feel Sir Jorael is a nice person!" said Yolin while smiling.

"Thank you. I want to know what Madam did to you. Why are you walking in pain?" asked the adventurer.

"…"

"Madam said also that if you do not obey you will end like your friend. What did she mean?" asked again Jorael.

"…"

"Her friend?! What happened?! She's referring to my sister Koren?!" yelled Kiran preoccupied, then asked Jorael:

"You entered the old hag villa, right?

There was another Demon girl with Yolin?!"

"No one else was in the mansion. Only Madam and Yolin." Replied Jorael.

"W-what?!...

Yolin, please! Answer me!" exclaimed Kiran in tears.

"…"

"She's terrified Kiran!" shouted Elkann while holding Yolin's hand.

"I you allow me; I could try help her calm down… albeit I never really tried this…" said Jorael.

"How?" asked Elkann worried.

"I saw only my Mother use this once, but Succubus can charm other people, and make them follow their order…" suggested the Traveler.

"You just said you were the only Succubus you know of?" asked naively Kiran.

"Still alive…" whispered Jorael with sadness.

"If you hurt her, I won't forgive you…" said Elkann while hugging Yolin.

Jorael convinced the little Demon girl to look at his glowing purple eyes. He concentrated and then whispered "Charm…" while looking intensely at Yolin.

Immediately the cat-like petite girl fell in trance, charmed by the Succubus. Her eyes became dull and she was standing still in front of Jorael.

"Seems like it worked…

Yolin, just to check… where's Madam's husband or sons?" asked the Traveler while the other two Demons assisting the scene were left astonished.

"S-she's a widow… she does not have sons.

Only Pancelot and slaves…" slowly responded Yolin.

"What did Madam Francine do to you to make you walk like that?" asked Jorael.

At first, the Demon girl was in silence, then under the charm influence she managed to talk:

"S-she… tortured me…"

"Ok, but what did she do to you?" asked again Jorael.

"S-she… S-she… she took the chimney rod… the poker…" responded slowly again the little girl.

"and she beat you?"

"No…

She undressed me. She took off my pants.

And… and… s-she… she forced the metal rod up my butt…" finally revealed the poor Yolin while tears were pouring down her sad face.

"WHAT?!" screamed Elkann furiously and continued screaming while hitting his feet to the ground: "I'M GOING TO KILL THIS FUCKING FAT BITCH WITH MY HORNS!!!"

Jorael and Kiran were flabbergasted, and the Traveler could feel the wrath building inside of him, recalling old sorrowful memories.

"That psychopathic old Human hag! What did she do to my sister?!" asked Kiran crying.

"Your friend, Koren, what happened to her?" asked Jorael after calming down.

"T-There was a tea party for nobles in Madam's villa…

Koren by mistake spilled some tea on a guest dress…

Madam was madly enraged…" started slowly talking Yolin to continue with her story:

"After the guests were gone, Madam called three men…

They took Koren to the bedroom…

And then… a-and then… they started raping her violently…

Madam was to make sure I watched with her all of it so that I could learn the lesson…

T-then… T-then… after the men were done… they… they…

They killed her… on the bed… blood was everywhere!...

all of them were laughing…

They were laughing…

laughing…

laughing…

laughing…"

Yolin broke Jorael's charm by crying rivers of tears and fell on her knees to the ground. Kiran was shocked and could not talk nor cry, she was just standing still there, as she was like petrified from the horrors she listened to of her dear sister. Elkann assisted right away his fiancée hugging her and trying to comfort her.

Jorael was left with his rage building inside of him, reminiscing what happened to his mother Joanna and his father Roland.

"Give me the cat… I'll settle this…" whispered angrily the adventurer while clenching his fists.

"Why? What are you going to do?!" shouted Elkann whilst picking up his fiancée in his muscled arms.

"Don't worry… you three… just run away from the Empire.

Can you pass the Wall?" asked Jorael while picking up the cage with Pancelot the cat.

"Yes… we can escape by the same way we entered. But what about Yolin's collar?" asked Elkann dubiously.

"I said I'll settle this. Trust me and just leave. Farewell." Replied confidently to the Traveler.

"Jorael the Succubus, may we meet again under Atremis providential guidance. Farewell." Finally said Elkann leaving with Yolin in his arms, and Kiran silently following him.

It was early morning when Jorael presented himself triumphantly with Pancelot the cat in his arms at Madam Francine villa. He knocked many times at the door, to wait for endless minutes for the Noblewoman to open the door.

"Where is that stupid slave?!

I was sleeping… What do you want?!" shouted the woman still wearing her nightgown as she opened the door.

"Madam, I found Pancelot… may I enter?" asked Jorael as he was showing the cat to his owner.

"PANCELOT! Sure, come in adventurer!" yelled Francine with utmost joy.

The two of them went to the spacious living room, to discuss the resolution of the contract. Jorael requested the Noblewoman to sign the contract as it was completed. After the signature was done, the adventurer changed tone and suddenly asked:

"Sure, must be nice having slaves that work for you…

Also, if they don't do it you can always call some men to violate them and dispose of them…

Or you can shove a rod up their asses. Don't you think so Madam?"

The expression of the joy of the Noblewoman turned instantly to anger and she started shouting:

"You adventurer… you're in league with that stupid cat girl?!

You wanted some easy money and you together kidnapped my dear cat?!

You do not deserve to be called a Human!"

"Maybe I didn't want it to begin with, Silence!" screamed irefully Jorael as a green heptagram appeared in front of his hand's palm, and instantly a spell was launched to the Noblewoman.

It was a base Green Magic spell, but a hard one to be successful. The target of the incantation could not speak anymore, hence removing the ability to enchant spells and use Magic.

Francine tried screaming by opening her large mouth, but no sound was coming out. She desperately grabbed her neck with her hands, trying to force any noise out of her throat, but still, nothing changed as the spell launched was effective.

Jorael approached the stone chimney of the living room and picked up the poker. While rotating the metal rod he sarcastically said:

"How was it, Madam? The old-fashioned way?"

As those words were pronounced the Noblewoman fell on her knees in despair, shaking her head furiously and trying to scream asking for mercy. The half Demon came closer and closer to her, while she was shaking in fear gazing at his glowing purple eyes that seemed they could pierce her flesh.

When he was close enough, he tore up the madam's nightgown into shreds. She was trembling convulsively in terror as she knew too well what the Adventurer was about to do. He turned the Noblewoman upside down and abruptly forced the metal rod in. She was crying painful tears and quaking from all the pain received, but still, her voice was not to be heard.

"This… this is for Yolin…" whispered Jorael as he pulled out the poker.

The woman fell with her stomach to the ground, agonizing in pain and crying. She then slowly turned on her back worrying about what had to come.

"Now your time has come, and nobody will hear you calling for help, or screaming, or dying. For Koren… as for my Mother and Father…" said Jorael possessed by fury and revenge, and he finally shouted: "Firebolt!"

The woman's eyes were pouring tears and asking for his mercy, but what they saw was a giant flaming sphere coming closer and closer, that lastly engulfed the Noblewoman and incinerate her to an excruciating demise.

Jorael was gasping through the ashes and fumes, and when wrath and vendetta that blinded him were gone, he let his mouth talk and yelled:

"What the fuck did I just do?!"
