Monsters. (1)

Midday, East of Orario.

Under the light rays of the blazing sun lies a gigantic circular structure made out of stone.

The Coliseum.

One of the most popular and active place inside the great city of Orario. Almost all of the big events takes place here but mostly for entertainment purposes.

" Lord Ganesha! Lord Ganesha! We have a major problem! We have emergency!! "

Commotion suddenly erupted in a corner of the coliseum as a man with tanned skin hurriedly barge inside and approached his patron deity, Ganesha to give his report.

" I am Ganesha! "

" I know who you are! Why are you introducing yourself now!? "

The man rushed up to Ganesha who's wearing his elephant mask and is still in a bizarre pose.

Monsterphilia was still in progress.

A tamer is currently riding a small infant dragon like a bull at the main stage below and the audience was too involved in the action to notice what was going on above them.

" Ahem. What do you want? " the deity finally asked after seeing the seriousness of his child's expression.

" Some of our monsters have escaped! It was currently unknown where they are right now! "

"...."

The man continued giving his report and this time, he had Ganesha's full attention.

He explained that all of the guards, including the Guild employees working with them, were incapacitated by the still unknown person or group in the holding room. All of them looked like their soul and bones have been pulled out of their body.

Like puppets that have their strings cut off!

" How many monsters escaped… I mean, were released in total? "

" There are nine of them, sir! Including some that are particularly dangerous and aggressive… "

" That quite a bad news... "

Ganesha grunted, slowly nodding his head.

" I understand. Go and pursue those monsters quickly and dispose of them right away. Also, contact other Familias and ask all of the gods in the stadium for their cooperation! "

" Wait a minute, sir! It's our fault the monsters had escaped! If we ask for help, our reputation will be compromised! Other groups might see this as an opportunity and will use it against us… "

" I am Ganesha! The God of the Masses! I will not compromise the citizens safety for such trivial things! Our treasure is the children's smiles so throw away your ambition! "

" Y-yes, sir! My apologies! "

" Good. Continue the fair as planned! Don't tell anyone else about this, and don't let the audience leave the stands! There will be panic if word gets out! "

" Understood! But what about the perpetrator, sir? "

" Let them go. They didn't release all of the monsters, so they are most likely trying to cause problems. They we're probably after something and this could be a diversion, or perhaps they wanted to see the fair turn to chaos…

" I hate to say this but I, we have to play along with their game for now. Our first priority is the safety of the people. Now go! "

The man nodded and dashed off to spread their god's instructions.

Ganesha Familia sprung into action only five minutes after the incident was discovered. All of their available fighters quickly spread out to pursue the loose monsters.

" Three thousand valis for this pair of bracelets. "

" Seven thousand valis. "

" Three thousand one hundred valis? "

" That's impossible, goddess Hestia. As you can see, this bracelets were made out of gold. And the craftsmanship was excellent. "

" But seven thousand valis was still too expensive for just a pair of bracelets, store owner! "

Bell stands on the side, silently watching Hestia who's currently 'negotiating' with the store owner over the couple bracelet that had caught her interest.

They'd been like this for a fee minutes now but is still unable to get into an agreement.

Feeling defeated by the store owner's continued refusals, Hestia can only turn to Bell and asked for his opinion.

" What do you think, Bell? Should I buy them? "

" You can buy anything you like, Goddess. I've already given you the money, didn't I? "

" Y-yes. But I don't want to accidentally spend them all again like the last time.. "

" It's fine. Leave all the money problems to me and just do what you want, Goddess. Let me pamper you sometimes, okay? "

Bell didn't really care about a fee thousand valis since he can earn them easily in the dungeon.

" Moah, you are spoiling me too much. " she pouted, but Hestia felt very sweet inside.

Hestia puts down the bracelets as she slowly stood up and returned to Bell.

" Let's go look for other place, Bell. "

" Hmm? You will not buy them, goddess? "

" Don't need them anymore. " Hestia replied flatly, before trying to pull Bell with her again but... she paused.

Something suddenly reaches Hestia ears.

" Was that.....… a scream? "

Just as the words left her mouth, a tidal wave of sound came from the alley in front of them.

" MONSTERRRRRRRRR!! THERE ARE MONSTERS ON THE SURFACE!!! "

The peaceful street erupts into an explosion of panic at that one word. People hurriedly flee in different directions, desperate to save their little lives.

The stores quickly tried to closed down, hiding along their products to safety.

But it's probably too late for that.

The place instantly turned chaotic, as the tide of fleeing people already arrived, trampling almost everything in their path.

There are simply too many of them!

' Is it starting? '

Bell hurriedly pulled his goddess behind him, protecting her from any possible harm. He stood there firmly as the tide of people passes through them.

Instead of panicking, Bell simply held onto the sheath of his sword; waiting for the monster to come and see what it was.

Then there it is.

A huge monster appeared at the end of the street, coming from the coliseum. It's charging down the stone road, all of its white fur standing on end.

It was a silverback, probably over three meters tall with huge iron chains and a few armors on its body.

Its thick body sways left and right as if looking for something. It's bloody red eyes scans the crowd of fleeing people.

Surprisingly though, the silver back didn't attack them.

They are not its target.

It was looking for a certain goddess.

The silverback advanced down the street, swatting carts and boxes out of its way.

The silverback's eyes skimmed the crowd before suddenly coming to a stop on Bell's direction.

" How disappointing.. " muttered Bell.

Even the grip on his sword loosened up significantly as he stares at the huge monkey standing just over ten meters away from them; he's staring at it with very little interest.

That's right, a monkey. This savage looking monster was nothing more than an oversized monkey for Bell.

A lot of different things had already happened since his arrival here, many changes had taken place. However.. this seemed to have remained the same.

It seems like Freya, that naughty goddess of beauty still has no idea about his recent level up and still sent this monster to play with him.

' That top class seductress... '

Bell heightened up his senses to maximum and soon felt that there are over ten pair of eyes watching him right now; with those intense beautiful pair of silver eyes included.

" What should we do, Bell? " Hestia poked her head out to Bell's left side to look at the silver back. There's not a hint of fear in her tone.

" Will you fight that monster? It's looking at us.... isn't it? "

" We have to clean it up since it already came here. " Bell replied. " Get to the side first, Goddess. This will be done in seconds. "

" Y-yes! Be careful, Bell. "

Hestia unhesitantly moved to the side and hid behind the tree nearby.

She didn't want to get in his way.

Although this silver back was not the monster Bell wanted to come across today, he still has to get rid of it because he knew that this monster was locked onto his goddess.

" Hah... So troublesome.. "

Bell walks slowly towards the silver back.

" ROOOOOOAAAAAARRRR!! "

His steady and unafraid attitude seemed to have offended the huge monster. The silver back released a horrifying roar before pouncing to Bell.

Its boulder like arm shoots forward, the iron chains came flying towards the young man.

This monster was not only huge bit also, very fast and agile!

Bell sidestepped on his left, narrowly avoiding the attack by just a few millimeters.

With a quick jump, his body somesaulted in the air and got on the silver back's boulder-like arms. Bell then dash forward, aiming for its head.

Shing!

Bell quickly unsheathed his sword.

Silver light flashes to the air and curved into an arc.

Bell's body steadily landed on the ground with a slightly audible 'thud'.

Puchi!

A huge head came flying a fee meters in the air.

One slash!

That's all it took to end the battle.

The monster was decapitated cleanly!

It's knees soon collapsed like a broken doll, its headless body fell heavily on the floor and blood showered from its neck.

" You made it, Bell! "
