Bloodline Suppression

"Challenge me. I dare you." Zariel said, reaching for the sword upon his back.

Zalvin staggered back as his eyes widened. Never before had he felt such a deadly amount of killing intent generated by one man.

He had seen war, watched his fellow men be cut down like cattle before his very eyes, watched as thousands vanish from a single spell, and lived through slaughters, but never had he seen such a killing intent before, not from a child, nor a man.

'This was no child,' he thought, wishing to take a step back, but no matter what he did, no matter what he thought, his legs did not seem to respond to him. His voice seemed to fail him at this moment, as everything in him told him to run.

To hide.

"Mr. Blackwater," Elyimi gently said. "Please. "

Eyes narrowing, Zariel crossed his arms, but the cold intent in his eye did not lessen but rather grew till the ice beneath his feet slithered its way over the bodies of every professor, "Do you know why they call me the Devil of the North?"

Zalvin gulped, he had heard rumors, but he wasn't too sure. And it was the same for the others.

"You think you are the first to anger me? The first to invite death? So tell me, Zalvin Cremlor, how much is your life worth?"

Off to the side, the Red priest arched his lips and opened a single eye revealing an amethyst crimson glint. 'How'd love to battle him.' he thought but shook his head. 'He still too weak.'

Zalvin looked at Elyimi for help but received an indifferent eye that spoke volumes.

"I-I-I've got three Blood Pills meant to awaken bloodlines and enhance them. There are tier three pills that took seven years to craft, alongside fourteen years of lifeforce each," he said, reaching into his robe and pulling out a small black container meant to block out the sun's rays.

"Adequate, but not enough to mend your fate. Nevertheless, I will forgive this transgression if the Dean forgives my actions this past month." He said, giving face to Elyimi, who flashed him a thankful smile.

"Then all is forgiven," Elyimi uttered, utterly thankful. Despite Zalvins attitude, he was a very well-liked professor amongst the knights. It was often said not everyone can teach; even the very best masters who fail to teach can still fail when it comes to the art of teaching.

Just because a person has mastered a technique to the highest pinnacle does mean they are a good teacher.

Shuttering under the frigid cold, Aurelia's nose released a sliver of mucus that instantly froze, giving rise to a few sneezes as she felt her eyelids grow heavy.

"Gods, what a bad start," she moaned, casting a cleanse spell to dispel any icy water upon her clothing.

"My lady, you could cast a small fire spell; I'm sure master Zariel held some of them in his archives."

Aurelia shook her head as a heavy weight pressed against her soul, bringing about a strain she began to feel with each step she took. The simple task of even breathing felt like a great strain as she pushed through the forest of ice, covered by a magnificent sheet of silvery snow. Yet before such an elegant painting in her line of sight, Aurelia only saw dots of darkness slowly creep their way over her vision.

Like a soundless assassin, the cold penetrated her bones, reaching into the depths of her very being. The air felt like fire coming up her lungs, and the winds like daggers piercing her eyes.

She dared not blink as fear of the cold rippled through her heart. She marched on, studying the falling ice trickle over her icy flesh.

'I wish to learn. I wish to learn.' She repeated, trying to comprehend the element of ice.

"Incoming," Anima resounded in its robotic voice from the rune on Aurelia's wrist, "Please prepare for the incoming package."

Startled by the voice, Aurelia looked down at the rune, releasing a sparkling light. Suddenly out of thin air, a small pink pill carrying the crest of Styx etched into its smooth frame appeared. "Ingest within five seconds or risk hyperthermia."

Startled, Aurelia looked up almost as if she could see Zariel and flashed him a smile that managed to put a smile on a cold exterior.

"I'm going to defeat you one day,' she promised, swallowing the pill without hesitation. Aurelia's body froze as everything turned black, but a moment later, a blinding radiance tore apart the darkness.

Howls resounded with a fearful undertone as an aura unknown to creation spread across not just Alos but the very Thirty-Three Heaven, reaching far past Heaven's End: A border that marks an end to every dimension conceivable.

Reaching towards a young man situated upon a dark black throne high into the air, overlooking a land of brimstone. His features were so sharp and precise without any fault that they made him seem beyond any conceivable concept of beauty. His hair was a light shade of blonde that looked more silver than gold, yet his eyes held a golden light that seemed almost reminiscent of Aurelia.

"My child, my daughter, how I look forward to the day of your ascension." Lucifer Morningstar said, leaning his head onto the back of his stone throne; he smiled, " Gods, how I've missed so much. Train well, my child. And congrats on awakening a sliver of your bloodline. I wonder what I should give you?"

Blinking away as the frost poisoning vanished, leaving a warm peachy skin, Aurelia smiled as she opened her hands. She didn't feel any different, but there was something in her that wasn't there before, a feeling of becoming more whole, more real.

She bore a rich smile and giggled, feeling a pair of eyes on her that made her feel loved. She hadn't really known who lucifer was, but for some reason, she felt loved and happy as he gazed upon her.

"My Queen! You've changed! Your aura! Its-its, bleeding out!" Eldritch said in a joyous tone. "I was so worried, but now it seems like you are starting to awaken."

Had he a face, a smile would have been present as his soul flame jumped in joy, shimming a multicolored light.

"I don't understand?"

Eldritch cleared his throat sternly, " My lady, first off, you have one of the strongest bloodlines I've ever seen, but for some reason, it was sealed; you've managed to activate it a few times, but it was never enough. Now you have! Your aura alone will allow you to use Bloodline Suppression! And it's easier to become a Blood Lord with such an aura."
