The ritual room was a dimly decorated circular hall with an altar in the middle. The head teller asked for harry to proceed to the altar take the ritual knife and place a drop of his blood on the basin in the middle of the altar after giving himself a slight cut. As harry proceed towards the altar he was able to notice that the altar was surrounded by the carvings of mythical creatures of all sorts ranging from werewolves to dragons.
He went up beside the altar took the knife and gave a short cut at the palm of his hand letting a drop of blood slip onto the basin. As the head teller witnessed the completion of ritual he moved to heal Harry's wound before informing him to move back to the room so as to discuss in further detail.
As Harry was seated on the sofa the head teller arrived with a parchment that most definitely contained the inheritance result. Harry was curious to know how do they get the results when he clearly saw no one else in the ritual room recording anything. The head teller explained that just as Hogwarts was in possession of a magic quill that enters the name of every eligible child so that they could receive their acceptance letters, Gringotts had a similar quill which would write down the inheritance of any drop of blood, willingly and with the permission of goblins, is placed on the altar.
The inheritance test showed the results as
Heir to the proud and noble house of Potter ( by birth )
Heir to the most ancient and noble house of Black ( by the right of succession )
Harry was pleasantly surprised that he was right in that both the lordships will have a seat in the wizengamot including veto rights for a single subject every year due to being part of two most ancient and noble houses, this would surely lead to ease in which he can perform his future tasks.
Harry was also informed that before his parents went into hiding after he was born they left it on the goblins to convert every possible asset available into galleons to be kept until their son could come to reclaim them. He was also told that though he was now heir Black and could take on the family name it would come with additional responsibilities.
Unlike the Potter family who had no other ties left in the world the Black family was very active until recently and therefore had taken certain measures for its heir such as a betrothal which would come into immediate effect after him taking up the mantle. The Black heir also required to undergo a welcoming ceremony for coming of age just like every other pureblood family heir.
Harry said that though he would take the heirship he would like to request that only the family be informed and taken an oath to not reveal anything until he deems fit. The case of his coming of age ceremony can be cancelled on the grounds that the lord of the family was not able to attend and thus it should be cancelled.
The head teller handed Harry a pouch saying that harry could just request the amount he requires and it will then appear from the vaults to the purse as he was the last living member to a most ancient and noble house and does not require to take money from a secondary vault but cannot personally take the other belongings until his emancipation. The Black vault though was not accessible in full but he did have a heir vault where there would be monthly deposits for day to day use and was also connected to the pouch.
Harry then requested for a house elf to be loaned to him for remainder of the year where he could request for correspondence between the goblin and himself while living in the muggle world. He knew that he could still not take a House elf in as that would require a magical property attached to himself.
The teller quickly summoned a house elf and asked him to follow Harry's instructions until further orders. Harry then informed the teller that he would like to go the alley to carry out his shopping. The head teller tried his best to assure Harry that any and everything that he required can be delivered right here as his king had advised Harry against moving around.
Harry understood but still insisted that he would be as inconspicuous as possible and it will the first and only time that he moves around freely without any supervision. Harry then took the pouch and moved out of the bank.
His first stop was the bookstore where he procured as many different types of books, parchements and study material as he could get and just as expected other than the usual subjects taught at hogwarts and other fictional books there was no other book for sale, at least not to children.
He then turned to the pet shop where he got himself Hedwig and was debating whether he should buy crookshanks but then cancelled the thought and will let the things happen naturally.
He then made his way back to the bank as he knew that he was still to young to purchase the other things and would require the help of goblins to procure the other things. He was content on his little excursion and while on his way back made a stop to have a delightful scoop of refreshing ice-cream on this hot summer day.
He informed the head teller that he would like the books containing the wizard laws and that to one that has been updated to recent standards. He would also require them to purchase a cabinet from Borgin and Burkes and be placed in his vault. He would also require them to take care of his owl for a year before he can take it back.
After an hour of wait he was informed that both the things have been acquired and he could ask for them to the elf whenever he requires. Harry was very pleased with this journey and thanked the Goblins once again before calling for the elf so that he could return back to his relatives.
Upon returning he instructed the elf, minnie, to keep herself well hidden whenever she is in the house and not make any noise to have them notice its presence. The elf quickly nodded in understanding and after being dismissed left as swiftly as she came.
Harry moved into the house and once again silently went back to the closet under the stairs to wait till it was time for him to clean up after his relatives dinner. Though it seemed as a long trip he was done with his outing in four hours and thus had to wait patiently for another hour before he heard the annoying voices.
The day ended with him being scolded by his uncle, being glared at by his cousin as he had lost his punching bag at school, and an annoyed stare upon his mere existence by his aunt, so all in all a normal day in the life of young Harry Potter.
