Heart Broken

"Oh my..." Leona was taken aback, a mix of shock and joy evident on her face. She instinctively closed her mouth, trying to conceal the beaming smile that threatened to break through. 

Diana, catching her own reflection in the glass, stood frozen as the person before her was not Desmond. Instead of him, she was dumbfounded to see an exquisitely beautiful woman who seemed like she had stepped right out of a fairy tale.

*crash*

A shattering sound reverberated from behind Leona, causing her to instinctively turn towards the source. Her husband, with his mouth wide open, trembled as he pointed ahead in disbelief.

"I... I can't... believe..." Bastian stammered, his eyes widening in surprise, his voice barely audible.

*slurp*

Desmond, maintaining his composure, calmly savored his wine before redirecting his gaze towards both of his parents. "What a mess," he thought to himself, shaking his head slightly.
