His Unchanging Resolution

If it wasn't for Rupert's appearance that time, Anastasia would've stayed in that corner for a while longer.

After she vented out her true feelings and innermost fears to Lucien, his former bodyguard arrived out of nowhere. He came rushing in the scene after being alerted by the fire. A moment earlier, he wasn't really aware since he's somewhere a few floors above that place.

"S-Sir... R-Rupert..." Anastasia stammered out as soon as she saw him again.

"I-I'm glad y-you survived, Sir Rupert."

That time, she remembered that during the earliest hours of the zombie apocalypse, she failed to find the person who saved her and took her out of the underground laboratory. He did pass through her mind right before she took her last breath, but it's much too late to be worried for his well-being.
