The next morning, Reya did not have any training. The sadist trainer Clive had finally given her a day break from his brutal torture he called training. She happily skipped through the corridor and ran over to the kitchens.
Lucas was too busy chopping some lettuce and broccoli to notice her entry.
She slowly walked up to him and skilfully plucked the knife out of his hands.
Startled, Lucas glanced back with her, eyes wide open. "Miss Reya, it's you. Good morning, did you have a pleasant sleep?"
"Oh indeed mister Lucas, now let me do this honour of chopping this pristine vegetables," she said similar to his accent.
Lucas chuckled and nodded. First he handed her a frilly apron and gestured her to wear it. Only after she wore it did he hand the chopping block full of broccolis and lettuce. "Oh looks like i forgot potatoes. Let me bring some from the garden," he whispered and removed his apron. He folded it neatly and placed it on the counter and stepped away. He stopped next to the doorway. "Will you be able to handle everything here?"
"Roger captain, soldier Reya to the rescue," she saluted to him, with a wide smirk.
Luca's roaring laughed echoed after him.
Humming a random song Reya started chopping them.
After ten minutes or so she heard some footsteps outside the kitchen, which she assumed was Lucas.
"Do you have a bandage?" a young voice whispered behind her.
Startled, Reya glanced back. A young man with black curly hair stood with his eyes wide open. Swiftly Reya wielded her knife like a sword and shouted, "Who are you?"
The man blushed and scratched his bleeding cut next to his chin. "umm....."
"i asked, who are you? Are you here to steal food? Don't you know stealing is bad?" she shouted out loud.
Suddenly the man chucked and stepped closer.
Reya filched and stepped back vigilantly. "There are two men in the house. They will toss you to the ground and rip you another hole," she said confidently but her shaking voice gave her away.
The mysterious man laughed out loud. He shuffled his curly black hair and gazed deeply into her eyes.
His eyes, deep like a dark ocean reflected her image in them. They looked very familiar yet...she was not able to identify where she had seen them. "Who are you?" she whispered hesitantly.
"i am batman," he whispered with a smirk. He confidently stepped closer while Reya stepped back. Just like this she was backed into a corner by him. Fear gripped her heart, not knowing what to do. She threw the kitchen knife at his face.
Startled, the man side stepped. He gazed at her with his mouth agape, in shock. "Where did you learn that huh?"
"My trusted friend July taught me. She would also come here any second, so you better step back." She warned one last time.
With a wilful smile, he whispered, "really July the robot did?"
His voice sounded familiar so Reya peered into his face. This annoying smile she had seen it somewhere else. "Don't tell me...."
Right at that moment Lucas walked in. "master, i see you shaved. It suits you," he whispered and placed the basket full of potatoes on the counter.
"Master? Clive? Is that you," Reya mumbled with an astonished look. She gripped his chin and pulled his face side by side. "You actually.....look handsome. How?"
He pushed her groping hands away and touched his non existing beard by habit. "i was always handsome okay," he whispered with a soft blush.
Reya chuckled and nodded. She let go of him and her smile waned away. Holding him close, she kicked him in between his legs.
"Umfff," Clive gasped and held his aching grin. With tears in his eyes he gazed up at her questioningly.
"it's for giving me a scare. I could have stabbed you for god's sake. Don't ever prank me like that," she helped him up.
Clive leaned against the counter and softly cupped his poor balls. "Darn it, i think I'm impotent now," he mumbled.
"Serves you right," Reya mumbled back yet still she brought him a bag of ice and a bandage. She peeled off the cover and applied it to his small cut. "Looks like you don't know how to shave either," she whispered but he did not reply back rather he was too busy peering at her face.
"what..."
This snapped him out of his thought. "Nothing," he whispered. But his face was slightly red.
