A Ceremony To Plan

Aaron is constantly at my pack house now. I like having him around but he is starting to distract me from my work.

"Lunch time!" He comes in with a tray of food.

"Aaron... you know I do have work to do!" I protest. I know I'm not very convincing tho. I feel my lips curl into a smile when I see him.

"Yup! And I do too... but that's what Betas are for right? taking care of the pack when the Alpha is busy?" he sets the tray down and wraps his arms around me kissing me on the cheek. "You can take a day off can't you?" He begs.

"You mean another day after yesterday and the day before? When am I supposed to get back to work?" I ask him.

"Well you said it we have another ceremony to plan!" He grins. He looks like a giddy little boy. Ever since he proposed he has been by my side. I'm not sure he even sleeps! He leaves at night and is back before lunch. This boy is crazy!

"Crazy for us!" I blush at my wolfs comment.

"I take that as a yes!?" He says nuzzling my neck.

I stand up and wrap my arms around his shoulders.

"Let's go for a walk." I say. With an arm around his waist I walk him to my office door. I open it and turn him to face me. I pull his face down to mine and kiss his cheek "you know I love you." I whisper in his ear. As he goes to pull me into him I push him out the door and lock it. I hear him hit the door.

"Not fair Lilly!" Aaron yells.

"I have work to do Aaron!" I call back heading to my desk.

"You're gonna pay for this." I hear him leave.

I can't concentrate when he is here!... well at least I have some food now. I take a bite from the food he brought. A few hours later my work is relatively done. I sneak out of my office.

"About time!" I hear Aaron say.

"Have you seriously been waiting for me?" I ask.

"Of course!" He says wrapping an arm around me. "I'll always wait for you!" This boy is so cheesy!

"Well since you're still here we could start planning the ceremony." I tell him.

"Or... we could blow off the rest of the day and hang out!" His grin makes me laugh.

"What happened to the big bad Alpha Aaron?... we can't just lounge around all day every day! If we aren't working with the pack we need to plan our ceremony. We haven't even set a date yet!" I tell him.

"You happened to me. I'm just a love sick pup! I don't care when we have the ceremony! Make it tomorrow! I don't need much just you!" He is adorable! But no way Samantha or Father would let us off that easy. The ceremony will be huge whether we like it or not.

"Let's talk to Sam... she's good at the planning stuff. I'd do it tomorrow too but my family deserves better. They would want to be there. Don't you think Carson would want to be there to support you. And you know Sam will want a party." I say. He huffs in annoyance.

"Yea... you're right... just don't toy with me... it's not fair." He whines.

"But your fun to play with!" I kiss his cheek and pull away before he can respond dragging him to Sam and Carson's house.

"Lilly! You are going to pay for this! Stop doing that!" He growls as we walk. I look back at him with an innocent smile.

"What ever do you mean? I'm not doing anything." I say to him and he rolls his eyes.

"Sam!" I call as we enter the house. "Samantha! We need your help!" She runs out meeting us in the hall.

"What's wrong? Is everything ok!?" She panics looking worried.

"No it's not Okay! We have no idea when to have our mates ceremony or what to do for it!" I say and she smiles.

"Well then." She leads us into the living room. "You've come to the right place!" We sit down on the couch. "It will take at least two months to plan."

"Two months?!?" Aaron obviously not happy about that. I can't say I disagree.

"Don't argue Aaron." Carson says walking in "you do that and it goes to four. You're getting off easy."

Aaron groans sinking into the cushions next to me. I lean into him and he wraps his arms around me.

"Why so long?" I ask.

"Little one this is short notice! You two are powerful ranking Alphas. We have to invite the other Alphas, prepare accommodations, decide on a location that will fit us all, food, decorations, inform the packs, plan the reception..." Sam starts to list

"And the honeymoon!" Carson adds cutting her off.

I blush and cover my face. I feel Aaron's chest rumble as he laughs at my response. I smack his chest and sit away from him.

"You know you're cute when you're embarrassed." He laughs.

"Knock it off!" I yell at him. "We have planning to do."

Sam was right. It was a lot of work. I don't really want all the Alphas here and neither does Aaron but it would be impolite due to our positions not to invite them.

Aaron continues to show up nearly every day. I told him that if his desk piles up I will kill him so he has been making sure to do at least most of his work before running over here. I know it is faster traveling through the woods as a wolf but I also know he is wearing himself out.

"So." He says reading a letter as we sit at the dining room table. "Alpha Connor stepped down so Xander is now Alpha of Black Water pack. He and his mate Marie have accepted our invitation."

"Well that's 44 confirmed Alphas... this is getting ridiculous!" I look at the next envelope "Make that 45 Alpha Anthony is coming." Sadly... I still don't like that guy.

"And it's a full house! Alpha Simon is coming with his boy... I think he's planning on stepping down soon too so we better make nice with Rhydian." Aaron says holding another reply.

It's a good idea to keep any pack over 100 strong on your good side. Not that they would be a match for us but if they band together they could do some damage. Basically the top 15 packs need to stay civil or it will be all out War. The rest are inconsequential they squabble but it doesn't affect us as a whole.

"Great so all 46 other Alphas are coming. Most of both our packs too... how are we going to fit over 1,000 wolves anywhere?!" I ask. I put my head down on the table. "This is hopeless!"

"Well... the clearing on the boarder between our packs should fit us all... that way no one has to go too far... for the reception we have it at the banquet hall only close friends and family go to that so we aren't over crowded... well and the Alphas of course... Clayton can take care of them. It will be like the Alpha banquet most will leave after the party a few will stay the night and leave in the morning. Your dad can help keep the peace. He may not be Alpha any more but they respect him. It will all work out." Aaron lays out a plan. As soon as he finishes he lets out a huge yawn.

"Stay the night. You are exhausted. You can go back in the morning. " I tell him. I see his eyes widen at the suggestion. He has been trying so hard to be here as much as he can and its tiring him out.

"I'm not sure I..." he starts.

I stand up and walk behind him draping my arms over his shoulders. He let's out a low growl as I place my lips next to his ear.

"Stay Aaron." I whisper. I nip his ear and walk towards the door. "You know where the guest room is."

"Woman!" He growls as I leave. "You're gonna pay for this!"

I can't help myself, It's fun! Come on it is so easy to get him all worked up. If he would calm down I wouldn't be able to play with him like this.

We are a week out from the big day. The closer it gets the more nerve racking. The plans are set. Preparations made. Samantha is already prepping the clearing. I'm wearing my mother's mates dress so no shopping which I'm grateful for.

"Well I think we're all set!" I tell Aaron as he enters my office.

"Not quite." He says sitting across from me.

He pats the seat next to him and I come around the desk and sit down. He fans out a bunch of pamphlets for vacation spots.

"Honeymoon!" He grins. I take the pamphlets.

"California!" I say holding one up. "Beaches and sun and an ocean breeze!" He rolls his eyes.

"What ever you want... I'll get the tickets." He says taking it from my hand.

"What do you want to go somewhere else?" I ask him. This is his day too it can't all be about me.

"Wherever you are I'm happy." He says.

"So." He starts after hanging up the phone. "Travel agent got us on a mid day flight day after the ceremony... we can spend that night in my moms cabin get away... no one will bother us there." He winks at me. His grin covers his entire face. This boy has a one track mind! And he wonders why I mess with him so much! I blush and he laughs. Well two can play that game.

I move over to sit on his lap and wrap my arms around his neck. I lean into him... taking a deep breath I sigh. Man he smells good. I can hear his heart race as I breath him in.

"Good thing..." I lean in closer so my breath glides across his ear. "I want you all to myself." I jump off of him and walk to the door. "Ready for lunch?" I ask.

He growls and jumps up after me pinning me to the wall. He kisses my neck and I push him away. Hardest thing to do ever!

"Seven days." I tell him with a hand on his chest keeping him off of me. "You can mark me in seven days."

"You are killing me woman!" He steps away. "You are gonna pay for this!"

"You keep saying that." I tell him and walk out the door.
