Worst Day

Lisa's POV

The incident in the river made me feel so grateful for the life that I have right now and for the second chance I've got. I wanted to quit my job and stay at the Hernandez hacienda and be with Benedict for good. Still, I knew it wouldn't be a good idea because I needed my job badly since I didn't belong to the elite family, and I wanted Benedict to be proud of me.

The days that followed were so hectic because of the many absences that I made. I have given a memorandum of my absences and tardiness from the Human Resource Department, and it made me stay in the city most of the time. I am just glad my boyfriend finds time to be with me during weekends, and sometimes he will surprise me during weekdays, and I could tell what happened to Maya and me in the river made us closer, maybe because we both realized life is too short.
