Real Life

It'd been about five hours since Maddy and Valerie has realized they'd been ditched by Emma and Olivia. They were both in the hotel room halfway through "Knives Out" when Valerie's phone rang. She looked at it and rolled her eyes.

"It's Liv." Valerie said.

"Ew." Maddy replied, sticking her nose up.

Valerie laughed and picked up the phone, putting it on speakerphone.

"What do YOU want?" She started.

"For you to tell me that you two have made up." Olivia said through the phone.

"Well duh, we did that like a gazillion hours ago." She replied, making Maddy let out a small laugh.

"Thank god. I wasn't gonna be able to stay in that room if you two were still fighting."

"You know, you changing rooms might be a good idea." Maddy started.

"Why?"

"Cuz you SUCK!" Maddy shouted, causing Valerie to start dying of laughter.

"And how's that?" Olivia asks.

"Oh I don't know, maybe because you ditched us a gazillion hours ago to go have the time of your life on a yacht." Maddy sourly responded.

The sound of laughter came from the other line.

"We had to!" Olivia replied.

Maddy and Valerie exchanges a sarcastic look and Maddy imitated Olivia's voice.

"We HaD tO!1!"

Valerie started laughing again.

"Firstly, I don't sound like that AT ALL, second, we just got invited to a club," Olivia said, perking Valerie and Maddy's ears up, "so get your asses dressed and ready and meet us in the lobby in twenty minutes."

Maddy and Valerie looked at each other with grins from ear to ear.

"Okayyyyyy." Valerie smiled before hanging up.

*20 Minutes Later*

Maddy and Valerie had arrived in the hotel lobby and were looking around to check and see if any of their friend's faces had popped up, but there was no sign of either girls. Maddy shrugged and sat down on a leather loveseat right next to Valerie who was already engrossed in her phone.

Five minutes had passed and there was still no sign of Olivia and Emma. Maddy's patience was running out, and that's saying a lot since she could barely wait a full five minutes for food, let alone her friends.

After another three minutes Maddy spotted Emma running into the lobby. She frantically looked around and when she set her eyes on Maddy, she meekly waved.

Emma came over and apologized in a child's voice, begging for forgiveness.

"I forgive you, but you know how much I could've gotten done if you didn't summon us down here almost an hour ago."

"Okay calm down, it wasn't almost an HOUR ago." Valerie chimes in, standing up.

Maddy looked around again, realizing that Olivia hadn't joined them.

"Liv decided to ditch and go to the pool." Emma explained.

Both Valerie and Maddy made an "Oh" face.

"Rude! First, she ditches us to go on a yacht, then she ditches us to go to the lame pool!" Valerie pouted.

Maddy and Emma laughed and threw their arms around her shoulders.

"She's definitely gonna miss out." Maddy grinned.

"Shall we?" Emma asked.

"Fuck yeah. I'm ready to black out." Valerie states.

Emma and Maddy looked at each other with a concerned look, but started walking.
